Abstract:By using a certain linear operator defined by a Hadamard product or convolution, several interesting subclasses of analytic functions in the unit disk are introduced and studied systematically. The various results presented here include, for example, a number of coefficient estimates and distortion theorems for functions belonging to these subclasses, some interesting relationships between these subclasses, and a wide variety of characterization theorems involving a certain functional, some general functions of hypergeometric type, and operators of fractional calculus. Some of the coefficient estimates obtained here are fruitfully applied in the investigation of certain subclasses of analytic functions with fixed finitely many coefficients.

Abstract:In many recent works, several authors demonstrated the usefulness of fractional-calculus operators in many different directions. The main object of this paper is to present, in a unified manner, a number of key results for the general $\bar H$-function, which is associated with a certain class of Feynman integrals, involving the Riemann-Liouville, the Weyl, and other fractional-calculus operators such as those based on the Cauchy-Goursat Integral Formula. Various paricular cases and consequences of our main fractional-calculus results are also considered.

Abstract:By using the Riemann-Liouville type fractional integral operators we shall reduce the complex Fourier-Jacobi transforms of even functions on $\mathbf{R}$ to the Euclidean Fourier transforms. As an application of the reduction formula, Parseval's formula and an inversion formula of the complex Jacobi transform are easily obtained. Moreover, we shall introduce a class of even functions, not $C^\infty$ and not compactly supported on $\mathbf{R},$ whose transforms have meromorphic extensions on the upper half plane.

Abstract:Abstract The contribution of fractional calculus in the development of different areas of research is well known. This article presents investigations involving fractional calculus in the study of analytic functions. Riemann-Liouville fractional integral is known for its extensive applications in geometric function theory. New contributions were previously obtained by applying the Riemann-Liouville fractional integral to the convolution product of multiplier transformation and Ruscheweyh derivative. For the study presented in this article, the resulting operator is used following the line of research that concerns the study of certain new subclasses of analytic functions using fractional operators. Riemann-Liouville fractional integral of the convolution product of multiplier transformation and Ruscheweyh derivative is applied here for introducing a new class of analytic functions. Investigations regarding this newly introduced class concern the usual aspects considered by researchers in geometric function theory targeting the conditions that a function must meet to be part of this class and the properties that characterize the functions that fulfil these conditions. Theorems and corollaries regarding neighborhoods and their inclusion relation involving the newly defined class are stated, closure and distortion theorems are proved, and coefficient estimates are obtained involving the functions belonging to this class. Geometrical properties such as radii of convexity, starlikeness, and close-to-convexity are also obtained for this new class of functions.

Abstract:The subject of fractional calculus (that is, the calculus of integrals and derivatives of any arbitrary real or complex order) has gained considerable popularity and importance during the past over four decades, due mainly to its demonstrated applications in numerous seemingly diverse and widespread fields of mathematical, physical, engineering and statistical sciences. Various operators of fractional-order derivatives as well as fractional-order integrals do indeed provide several potentially useful tools for solving differential and integral equations, and various other problems involving special functions of mathematical physics as well as their extensions and generalizations in one and more variables. The main object of this survey-cum-expository article is to present a brief elementary and introductory overview of the theory of the integral and derivative operators of fractional calculus and their applications especially in developing solutions of certain interesting families of ordinary and partial fractional "differintegral" equations. This general talk will be presented as simply as possible keeping the likelihood of non-specialist audience in mind.

The main object of this paper is to consider some miscellaneous properties and applications which are associated with several fractional differintegral operators. We first investigate, in a systematic and unified manner, various families of series identities which emerged in connection with some of these fractional differintegral formulas. Abstract:In this paper, through theory of fuzzy complex analysis, we introduce some representations of r -cuts of trivial fuzzy zero, nontrivial fuzzy zero and fuzzy complex numbers in polar form on complex plane and establish some of their basic properties. Based on this, the addition and scalar multiplication operations of fuzzy complex numbers are established and the calculus of fuzzy complex-variable functions is studied. Moreover, we introduce a notion of fuzzy Ortigueira fractional derivative of fuzzy complex-variable functions and develop a theory of fuzzy fractional calculus on complex plane including some geometric features. As applications, the existence and uniqueness theorem of solutions for nonlinear fuzzy fractional complex-variable differential equations is established and some examples are provided.

Fractional Calculus and Applied Analysis

Abstract:Abstract Fractional derivatives and integrals for measures and distributions are reviewed. The focus is on domains and co-domains for translation invariant fractional operators. Fractional derivatives and integrals interpreted as "Equation missing"-convolution operators with power law kernels are found to have the largest domains of definition. As a result, extending domains from functions to distributions via convolution operators contributes to far reaching unifications of many previously existing definitions of fractional integrals and derivatives. Weyl fractional operators are thereby extended to distributions using the method of adjoints. In addition, discretized fractional calculus and fractional calculus of periodic distributions can both be formulated and understood in terms of "Equation missing"-convolution.

Abstract:During the past four decades or so, various operators of fractional calculus, such as those named after Riemann–Liouville, Weyl, Hadamard, Grunwald–Letnikov, Riesz, Erdelyi–Kober, Liouville–Caputo, and so on, have been found to be remarkably popular and important due mainly to their demonstrated applications in numerous diverse and widespread fields of the mathematical, physical, chemical, engineering, and statistical sciences. Many of these fractional calculus operators provide several potentially useful tools for solving differential, integral, differintegral, and integro-differential equations, together with the fractional-calculus analogues and extensions of each of these equations, and various other problems involving special functions of mathematical physics, as well as their extensions and generalizations in one and more variables. In this Special Issue, we invite and welcome review, expository, and original research articles dealing with the recent advances in the theory of fractional calculus and its multidisciplinary applications.
Fractional calculus in hydrologic modeling: A numerical perspective

Abstract:Fractional derivatives can be viewed either as handy extensions of classical calculus or, more deeply, as mathematical operators defined by natural phenomena. This follows the view that the diffusion equation is defined as the governing equation of a Brownian motion. In this paper, we emphasize that fractional derivatives come from the governing equations of stable Lévy motion, and that fractional integration is the corresponding inverse operator. Fractional integration, and its multi-dimensional extensions derived in this way, are intimately tied to fractional Brownian (and Lévy) motions and noises. By following these general principles, we discuss the Eulerian and Lagrangian numerical solutions to fractional partial differential equations, and Eulerian methods for stochastic integrals. These numerical approximations illuminate the essential nature of the fractional calculus.

All the results are based on the complex generalization of the Grünwald-Letnikov fractional derivative.
