Abstract:It took the religious influence on aesthetic consciousness as the research perspective to make a contrastive analysis of historical formation and cultural connotation between traditional Japanese aesthetic consciousness," Sentimentality" and " Profundity".Sentimentality,with " sorrow" as its beauty and profundity,with " silence" as its underflow,are metaphysical aesthetics with strong spiritual and mysterious color.They both regarded the pursuit of spiritual harmony as the highest objective,and put emphasis on heart's perception to achieve the supreme aesthetic realm of the combination of matter and mind.
