Abstract:In this article, I propose a concept of the $p$-on which is modelled on the multi-photon absorptions in quantum optics. It provides a commutative ring structure in quantum mechanics. Using it, I will give an operator representation of the Riemann $\zeta$ function.

Abstract:The two-photon quantum Rabi model is analyzed using the Z 4 -symmetry and su ( 1 , 1 ) -algebra. We derive the G-function whose zeros give the exact eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian. The singularity structure of the G-function allows to draw conclusions about the distribution of these eigenvalues along the real axis and we derive the spectral collapse phenomenon at critical coupling g c , found numerically before. The spectrum at g c consists of a discrete and a continuous part: the ground state is always separated from the continuum by a finite excitation gap, ruling out a quantum phase transition in the usual sense. For large qubit splitting, also other low lying states split off from the continuum. However, perturbation theory predicts the vanishing of the gap to all orders, demonstrating its non-perturbative nature. We corroborate this result with a variational calculation for the ground state.

Abstract:In the paper we investigate the Banach space representations of Manin's quantum q-plane for |q| is not 1. The Arens-Michael envelope of the quantum plane is extended up to a Frechet algebra presheaf over its spectrum. The obtained ringed space represents the geometry of the quantum plane as a union of two irreducible components being copies of the complex plane equipped with the q-topology and the disk topology, respectively. It turns out that the Frechet algebra presheaf is commutative modulo its Jacobson radical, which is decomposed into a topological direct sum. The related noncommutative functional calculus problem and the spectral mapping property are solved in terms of the noncommutative Harte spectrum.

Abstract:This article concludes our critical analysis on the role of non-commutativity in quantum theory. After a brief introduction of the necessary notions on point processes, we re-analyse model B proposed in "On non-commutativity in quantum theory (II): toy models for non-commutative kinematics", using the point process theory. This viewpoint allows to generalize and modify the space process of model B in a simple manner, obtaining a new model (model C). This new model allows the recovery of non-relativistic quantum mechanics in a suitable limit.

Abstract:Quantum dynamics of a particle on a two-dimensional comb structure is considered. This dynamics of a Hamiltonian system with a topologically constrained geometry leads to the non-Markovian behavior. In the framework of a rigorous analytical consideration, it is shown how a fractional time derivative appears for the relevant description of this non-Markovian quantum mechanics in the framework of fractional time Schrödinger equations. Analytical solutions for the Green functions are obtained for both conservative and periodically driven in time Hamiltonian systems.

Abstract:A reference frame F is described by the element g of the Poincare' group P which connects F with a given fixed frame F_0. If F is a quantum frame, defined by a physical object following the laws of quantum physics, the parameters of g have to be considered as quantum observables. However, these observables are not compatible and some of them, namely the coordinates of the origin of F, cannot be represented by self-adjoint operators. Both these difficulties can be overcome by considering a positive-operator-valued measure (POVM) on P, covariant with respect to the left translations of the group, namely a covariance system. We develop a construction procedure for this kind of mathematical structure. The formalism is also used to discuss the quantum observables measured with respect to a quantum reference frame.

Abstract:We study quantum optics with the atoms coupled to the quantized electromagnetic (EM) field in a non-inertial reference frame by making use of quantum field theory in curved spacetime. We rigorously establish the microscopic model for a two-level atom interacting with the quantized EM field in a rotating ring cavity by deriving a Jaynes-Cummings (JC) type Hamiltonian. Due to the two fold degeneracy of the ring cavity modes, the Rabi splitting exhibits three rather than two resonant frequency peaks. We find that the heights of the two side peaks show a sensitive linear dependence on the rotating velocity. This high sensitivity can be utilized to detect the angular velocity of the whole system.

Abstract:In a previous work we constructed a new kind of moduli background space by identifying regions of space-time where an observation of space-time is implied. We called it Observation Modular space (OM-space). Quantum Mechanics (QM) on this moduli space gets mapped into a very rich and highly non trivial dual Number Theory which we call Observation Modular Quantum Mechanics (OM-QM). In this work we extend the scope of this modularization to include observations of quantum states. We call the resulting extended space Observation Modular Riemann-Hilbert space (OM-RH space). It has the mathematical structure of a Riemann Surface. We find the OM-QM analogue of quantum base states and mixed states. This allows us to find the OM-QM analogues to the quantum State Reduction postulate and the Born rule. The OM-QM analog to quantum state collapse turns out to be totally deterministic and unitary in OM-RH space. It is shown to be equivalent to an Elliptic Curve Encryption-decryption protocol. Finally we obtain the OM-QM analog of entangled quantum states. As an example we apply this to the OM-QM interpretation of the EPR experiment.

Abstract:We explicitly describe the Haagerup and the Kosaki non-commutative $L^p$-spaces associated with a tensor product von Neumann algebra $M_1\bar{\otimes}M_2$ in terms of those associated with $M_i$ and usual tensor products of unbounded operators. The descriptions are then shown to be useful in the quantum information theory based on operator algebras.

Abstract:In this work we will answer the following question: What remains of Quantum Mechanics when we transform the background space-time into a space modularized by observation or measurement regions ? This new moduli space is constructed by identifying regions of space-time where quantum phase comparison (observation, measurement) is implied. We call it Observation Modular space (OM-space). In addition we replace in QM statements the Plank constant (h) by the quantity $\zeta_0 4 \pi^2$ (where $\zeta_0$ is the Plank Length) or otherwise, replacing $P_0$ (the Planck Momentum) by $4 \pi^2$. This maps Quantum Mechanics into a very rich dual Number Theory which we call Observation Modular Quantum Mechanics (OM-QM). We find the OM-dual to the Dirac Equation, the quantum Wave Function and a free particle's mass. The OM-QM counterparts of the Energy turns out to be a simple function of the zeroes of the Riemann zeta function. We also find the OM-QM correspondents to the electron spin, the electron charge, the Electric Field and the Fine Structure Constant. We also find the OM-QM correspondents of the Heisemberg uncertainty relation and Einstein's General Relativity Field equation emerging as certain limits of a unique OM-QM equation. We also get the OM-QM correspondents of the Gravitational Constant and the Cosmological Constant. We find the analog of holography in the OM-QM side and we get an interpretation of spin as a high dimensional curvature. An interpretation of the OM-QM correspondence is proposed as giving the part of QM information which is not measurement or observation dependent. Some potential future applications of this correspondence are discussed.

Abstract:Inspired by the structural unification of unitary groups (quantum field theory) with orthogonal groups (relativity) proposed recently through a non-division algebra, we construct a hypercomplex field theory with an internal symmetry that unifies the U(1) compact gauge group with the SO(1,1) noncompact gauge group, using the commutative ring of hypercomplex numbers. From the quantum field theory point of view, the hypercomplex field encodes two charged bosons with opposite charge, and corresponds thus to a neutral compound boson. Furthermore, normal or- dering of operators is not required for controling the vacuum divergences; in an analogy with SUSY, the theory under study contains U(1) boson particles and their hyperbolic SO(1,1) boson partners, whose contributions to the vacuum energy cancel out exactly to a zero value. In fact the present scheme allows us to compare finite measuments of squeezed boson-number statistics obtained with and without normal ordering. Additionally we discuss on the potential applications of the squeezed boson states constructed on the commutative ring, in quantum teleportation and in related areas.

Abstract:It is well known that the chain map between the de Rham and Poisson complexes on a Poisson manifold also maps the Koszul bracket of differential forms into the Schouten bracket of multivector fields. In the generalized case of a $P_\infty$-structure, where a Poisson bivector $P$ is replaced by an arbitrary even multivector obeying $[[P,P]]=0$, an analog of the chain map and an $L_\infty$-morphism from the higher Koszul brackets into the Schouten bracket are also known; however, they differ significantly in nature. In the present paper, we address the problem of quantizing this picture. In particular, we show that the $L_\infty$-morphism is quantized into a single linear operator, which is a formal Fourier integral operator. This paper employs Voronov's thick morphism technique and quantum Mackenzie-Xu transformations in the framework of $L_\infty$-algebroids.

On the structure of higher order quantum maps

Abstract:We study higher order quantum maps in the context of a *-autonomous category of affine subspaces. We show that types of higher order maps can be identified with certain Boolean functions that we call type functions. By an extension of this identification, the algebraic structure of Boolean functions is inherited by some sets of quantum objects including higher order maps. Using the Möbius transform, we assign to each type function a poset whose elements are labelled by subsets of indices of the involved spaces. We then show that the type function corresponds to a comb type if and only if the poset is a chain. We also devise a procedure for decomposition of the poset to a set of basic chains from which the type function is constructed by taking maxima and minima of concatenations of the basic chains in different orders. On the level of higher order maps, maxima and minima correspond to affine mixtures and intersections, respectively.

Abstract:We compare two possible ways of defining a category of 1-combs, the first intensionally as coend optics and the second extensionally as a quotient by the operational behaviour of 1-combs on lower-order maps. We show that there is a full and bijective on objects functor quotienting the intensional definition to the extensional one and give some sufficient conditions for this functor to be an isomorphism of categories. We also show how the constructions for 1-combs can be extended to produce polycategories of n-combs with similar results about when these polycategories are equivalent. The extensional definition is of particular interest in the study of quantum combs and we hope this work might produce further interest in the usage of optics for modelling these structures in quantum theory.
