Abstract:In this article, we obtain some further estimates of fundamental solutions comparing to the result of Chau-Tam-Yu and give some applications of the estimates on asymptotic behaviors of fundamental solutions.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the growth of fundamental groups of Finsler manifolds. Some relationships between the growth of fundamental groups and the volume growth of universal covers of Finsler manifolds are found. Some estimates of entropies and the number of generators of fundamental groups of Finsler manifolds are given. Moreover, the quasi-isometry and the geometric norm in Finsler geometry are considered.

Abstract:In this paper the relationship between the Ricci curvature and the fundamental groups of Finsler manifolds are studied. We give an estimate of the first Betti number of a compact Finsler manifold. Two finiteness theorems for fundamental groups of compact Finsler manifolds are proved. Moreover, the growth of fundamental groups of Finsler manifolds with almost-nonnegative Ricci curvature are considered.

Abstract:Finsler manifolds are differentiable manifolds equipped with Riemannian metrics without the quadratic restriction. In this paper, some recent developments and new results on curvatures and fundamental groups of Finsler manifolds are summarized briefly. The contents contain the growth of fundamental groups, the entropy of manifolds and fundamental groups, the first Betti number and the finiteness of fundamental groups.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider asymptotically flat Riemannian manifolds endowed with a continuous metric and the metric is smooth away from a compact subset with certain conditions. If the metric is Lipschitz and the scalar curvature is nonnegative away from a closed subset with (n - 1)-dimensional Hausdorff measure zero, then we prove that the ADM mass of each end is nonnegative. Furthermore, if the ADM mass of some end is zero, then we prove that the manifold is isometric to the Euclidean space. The Hausdorff measure condition is optimal, which confirms a conjecture of Lee in 2013. The proof of the nonnegativity is based on a smoothing argument with some new estimates such as a L-1-scalar curvature approximation estimates. The proof of the rigidity relies on the RCD theory where we show that the manifold has nonnegative Ricci curvature in RCD sense. The idea involving RCD theory in the proof turns out to be much more suitable in the study of the rigidity for continuous metrics. Furthermore, our result generalizes the result of Lee and LeFloch (Commun Math Phys 339(1):99-120, 2015) from spin to non-spin.

Abstract:This paper deals with Schrödinger equations with potentials which are time-dependent non-smooth and at most quadratic growth. In the case where potentials are smooth with respect to spatial variables, fundamental solutions have explicit formulas in short time by D. Fujiwara. On the otherhand in the case where ones are non-smooth, we cannot expect that fundamental solutions have similar formula as above because dispersive estimates fail to hold in general. We show that a principal part of an asymptotic form of the fundamental solution has similar form as above even in the case where a potential is in $C^2$ with respect to spatial variables.

Abstract:We obtain improved Strichartz estimates for solutions of the Schrödinger equation on negatively curved compact manifolds which improve the classical universal results results of Burq, Gérard and Tzvetkov [11] in this geometry. In the case where the spatial manifold is a hyperbolic surface we are able to obtain no-loss $L^{q_c}_{t,x}$-estimates on intervals of length $\log \lambda\cdot \lambda^{-1} $ for initial data whose frequencies are comparable to $\lambda$, which, given the role of the Ehrenfest time, is the natural analog of the universal results in [11]. We are also obtain improved endpoint Strichartz estimates for manifolds of nonpositive curvature, which cannot hold for spheres.

Abstract:We obtain improved Strichartz estimates for solutions of the Schrödinger equation on compact manifolds with nonpositive sectional curvatures which are related to the classical universal results of Burq, Gérard and Tzvetkov [11]. More explicitly, we are able refine the arguments in the recent work of Blair and the authors [3] to obtain no-loss $L^p_tL^{q}_{x}$-estimates on intervals of length $\log \lambda\cdot \lambda^{-1} $ for all {\em admissible} pairs $(p,q)$ when the initial data have frequencies comparable to $\lambda$, which, given the role of the Ehrenfest time, is the natural analog in this setting of the universal results in [11]. We achieve this log-gain over the universal estimates by applying the Keel-Tao theorem along with improved global kernel estimates for microlocalized operators which exploit the geometric assumptions.

Abstract:We prove local Calabi and higher order estimates for solutions to the continuity equation introduced by La Nave-Tian and extended to Hermitian metrics by Sherman-Weinkove. We apply the estimates to show that on a compact complex manifold the Chern scalar curvature of a solution must blow up at a finite-time singularity. Additionally, starting from certain classes of initial data on Oeljeklaus-Toma manifolds we prove Gromov-Hausdorff and smooth convergence of the metric to a particular non-negative $(1,1)$-form as $t\to\infty$.

Abstract:In this paper, we explore the positive solutions to the Finslerian nonlinear equation $$\frac{\partial u}{\partial t} = \Delta^{\nabla u} u + au\log u + bu,$$ which is related to Ricci solitons and serves as the Euler-Lagrange equation to the Finslerian log-energy functional. We then obtain the global gradient estimate of its positive solution on a compact Finsler metric measure space with the weighted Ricci curvature bounded below. Furthermore, using a new comparison theorem developed by the first author, we also establish a local gradient estimate on a non-compact forward complete Finsler metric measure spaces with the mixed weighted Ricci curvature bounded below, as well as finite bounds of misalignment and some non-Riemannian curvatures. Lastly, we prove the Harnack inequalities and a Liouville-type theorem of such solutions.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish compactness results for some classes of conformally compact Einstein metrics defined on manifolds of dimension d ≥ 4. In the special case when the manifold is the Euclidean ball with the unit sphere as the conformal infinity, the existence of such class of metrics has been established in the earlier work of C. R. Graham and J. Lee ("Einstein metrics with prescribed conformal infinity on the ball," Adv. Math. , vol. 87, no. 2, pp. 186–225, 1991). As an application of our compactness result, we derive the uniqueness of the Graham–Lee metrics. As a second application, we also derive some gap theorem, or equivalently, some results of non-existence CCE fill-ins.

Abstract:We show the asymptotics of the Bergman kernel function near the smooth divisor at infinity of the Cheng-Yau metric on quasi-projective manifolds. In particular, we show that there is a quantum phenomenon for the points very close to the divisor at infinity.

Abstract:We construct infinitely many examples of finite volume 4-manifolds with $T^3$ ends that do not admit any cusped asymptotically hyperbolic Einstein metrics yet satisfy a strict logarithmic version of the Hitchin-Thorpe inequality due to Dai-Wei. This is done by using estimates from Seiberg-Witten theory due to LeBrun as well as a method for constructing solutions to the Seiberg-Witten equations on noncompact manifolds due to Biquard. We also use constructions coming from the $Pin^-(2)$ monopole equations to obtain a larger class of manifolds where these techniques apply.
