Abstract:We prove that, for $\kappa\in(0,4)$ and $\rho\ge (\kappa-4)/2$, the chordal SLE$(\kappa;\rho)$ trace started from $(0;0^+)$ or $(0;0^-)$ satisfies the reversibility property. And we obtain the equation for the reversal of the chordal SLE$(\kappa;\rho)$ trace started from $(0;b_0)$, where $b_0>0$.

Abstract:Whole-plane SLE$_\kappa$ is a random fractal curve between two points on the Riemann sphere. Zhan established for $\kappa \leq 4$ that whole-plane SLE$_\kappa$ is reversible, meaning invariant in law under conformal automorphisms swapping its endpoints. Miller and Sheffield extended this to $\kappa \leq 8$. We prove whole-plane SLE$_\kappa$ is reversible for $\kappa > 8$, resolving the final case and answering a conjecture of Viklund and Wang. Our argument depends on a novel mating-of-trees theorem of independent interest, where Liouville quantum gravity on the disk is decorated by an independent radial space-filling SLE curve.

A deterministic proof of Loewner energy reversibility via local reversals

Abstract:We give a new proof of the orientation reversibility of chordal Loewner energy by reversing the orientation of a chord in partial increments. This fact was first proved by Yilin Wang (<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1601.05297" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1601.05297">arXiv:1601.05297</a>) using the reversibility of chordal Schramm-Loewner evolution (SLE) along with the interpretation of Loewner energy as the large deviation rate function of chordal SLE$_\kappa$ as $\kappa \to 0$. Our method is similar in spirit to Dapeng Zhan's proof (<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="0808.3649" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0808.3649">arXiv:0808.3649</a>) of chordal SLE$_\kappa$ reversibility for $\kappa \in (0,4]$, though it is purely deterministic. As a key step in our proof, we establish that a minimimal energy chord among those passing through a fixed finite set of points is a piecewise hyperbolic geodesic.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider hypergeometric SLE process for $\kappa\in (4,8)$ and $\nu>\frac{\kappa}{2}-6$. Though the definition of hypergeometric SLE process is complicated, we show that given its hitting point on a specific boundary, its conditional law can be described by SLE$_\kappa(\underline\rho)$ process. Based on this observation, by constructing a pair of curves, we derive the reversibility of hypergeometric SLE for $\kappa\in(4,8)$ and $\nu>-2$.

Abstract:Schramm-Loewner evolution (SLE$_\kappa$) is classically studied via Loewner evolution with half-plane capacity parametrization, driven by $\sqrt{\kappa}$ times Brownian motion. This yields a (half-plane) valued random field $\gamma = \gamma (t, \kappa; \omega)$. (Hölder) regularity of in $\gamma(\cdot,\kappa;\omega$), a.k.a. SLE trace, has been considered by many authors, starting with Rohde-Schramm (2005). Subsequently, Johansson Viklund, Rohde, and Wong (2014) showed a.s. Hölder continuity of this random field for $\kappa < 8(2-\sqrt{3})$. In this paper, we improve their result to joint Hölder continuity up to $\kappa < 8/3$. Moreover, we show that the SLE$_\kappa$ trace $\gamma(\cdot,\kappa)$ (as a continuous path) is stochastically continuous in $\kappa$ at all $\kappa \neq 8$. Our proofs rely on a novel variation of the Garsia-Rodemich-Rumsey (GRR) inequality, which is of independent interest.

Abstract:We study the commutation relation for 2-radial SLE in the unit disc starting from two boundary points. We follow the framework introduced by Dubédat. Under an additional requirement of the interchangeability of the two curves, we classify all locally commuting 2-radial SLE$_\kappa$ for $\kappa\in (0,4]$: it is either a two-sided radial SLE$_\kappa$ with spiral of constant spiraling rate or a chordal SLE$_\kappa$ weighted by a power of the conformal radius of its complement. Namely, for fixed $\kappa$ and starting points, we have exactly two one-parameter continuous families of locally commuting 2-radial SLE. Two-sided radial SLE with spiral is a generalization of two-sided radial SLE (without spiral) which satisfies the resampling property. We define it by weighting two independent radial SLEs by a two-time parameter martingale. However, unlike in the chordal case, the resampling property does not uniquely determine the pair due to the additional degree of freedom in the spiraling rate. We also discuss the semiclassical limit of the commutation relation as $\kappa \to 0$.

Hypergeometric SLE with $κ=8$: Convergence of UST and LERW in Topological Rectangles

Abstract:We consider uniform spanning tree (UST) in topological rectangles with alternating boundary conditions. The Peano curves associated to the UST converge weakly to hypergeometric SLE$_8$, denoted by hSLE$_8$. From the convergence result, we obtain the continuity and reversibility of hSLE$_8$ as well as an interesting connection between SLE$_8$ and hSLE$_8$. The loop-erased random walk (LERW) branch in the UST converges weakly to SLE$_2(-1, -1; -1, -1)$. We also obtain the limiting joint distribution of the two end points of the LERW branch.

Abstract:A technique of two-curve Green's function is used to study the Green's function of cut points of chordal SLE κ for κ∈(4,8) . In order to apply the technique, we take the union of the SLE curve with two open boundary arcs, which share two boundary points other than the endpoints of the SLE curve. The Green's function of interest is, for any z0 in the domain, the limit as r↓0 of the r−α times the probability that {|z−z0| contains a cut point of the above union, where α=38κ−1 . We prove the limit exists, obtain an exact formula up to a multiplicative constant, and derive a rate of convergence.

Abstract:We compute the almost-sure Hausdorff dimension of the double points of chordal SLE_kappa for kappa > 4, confirming a prediction of Duplantier-Saleur (1989) for the contours of the FK model. We also compute the dimension of the cut points of chordal SLE_kappa for kappa > 4 as well as analogous dimensions for the radial and whole-plane SLE_kappa(rho) processes for kappa > 0. We derive these facts as consequences of a more general result in which we compute the dimension of the intersection of two flow lines of the formal vector field e^ih/chi, where h is a Gaussian free field and chi > 0, of different angles with each other and with the domain boundary.

Abstract:This paper initiates the study of the conformal field theory of the SLE$_\kappa$ loop measure $\nu$ for $\kappa\in(0,4]$, the range where the loop is almost surely simple. First, we construct two commuting representations $(\mathbf{L}_n,\bar{\mathbf{L}}_n)_{n\in\mathbb{Z}}$ of the Virasoro algebra with central charge $c_\mathrm{M}=1-6(\frac{2}{\sqrt{\kappa}}-\frac{\sqrt{\kappa}}{2})^2\leq1$ as (unbounded) first order differential operators on $L^2(\nu)$. Second, we introduce highest-weight representations and characterise their structure: in particular, we prove the existence of vanishing singular vectors at arbitrary levels on the Kac table. Third, we prove an integration by parts formula for the SLE loop measure, and use it to define the Shapovalov form of the representation, a non degenerate (but \emph{not} positive definite) Hermitian form $\mathcal{Q}$ on $L^2(\nu)$ with a remarkably simple geometric expression. The fact that $\mathcal{Q}$ differs from the $L^2(\nu)$-inner product is a manifestation of non-unitarity. Finally, we write down a spectral resolution of $\mathcal{Q}$ using the joint diagonalisation of $\mathbf{L}_0$ and $\bar{\mathbf{L}}_0$. As an application of these results, we provide the first proof of the uniqueness of restriction measures, as conjectured by Kontsevich and Suhov. Our results lay the groundwork for an in-depth study of the CFT of SLE: in forthcoming works, we will define correlation functions on Riemann surfaces, and prove conformal Ward identities, BPZ equations, and conformal bootstrap formulas.

Abstract:Fix a Dirichlet character $\chi$ and a cuspidal GL$(2)$ eigenform $\phi$ with relatively prime conductors. Then we show that there are infinitely many cusp forms $\pi$ on GL$(3)$ such that $L(1/2, \pi \times \chi)$ and $L(1/2, \pi \times \phi)$ are simultaneously non-zero. We achieve this by use of Jacquet's Relative Trace Formula. We derive an expression of the average over the GL$(3)$ cuspidal spectrum as a sum of a non-zero main term and two subsidiary terms which are forced to be zero for large enough level by use of a suitable test function. This modest article is dedicated to the memory of Harish Chandra, on the occasion of his hundredth birthday.

Abstract:In this short note we observe that the boundary of a properly embedded compact exact Lagrangian sub-manifolds in a subcritical Weinstein domain $X$ necessarily admits Reeb chords. The existence of this Reeb chords either follows from an obstruction to the deformation of the boundary to a cylinder over a Legendrian sub-manifold or from the fact that the wrapped Floer homology of the Lagrangian vanishes once this boundary have been "collared".

Abstract:We consider multiple chordal SLEs with $\kappa\in (0,8)$. Under common time parameterization, we show that the transition density of the driving function of multiple chordal SLEs can be given by the transition density of Dyson Brownian motion and Green's function. We give two consequences of such connection: first, we show that the driving function of multiple chordal SLEs, conditional on the rare event that it survives forever, becomes Dyson Brownian motion; second, we derive the asymptotic of the probability for multiple chordal SLEs to hit a small neighborhood of a boundary point. This is a companion paper of~[FWY24]. We also extend previous results in~[FWY24] from $\kappa\in (0,4]$ to $\kappa\in (0,8)$.

Abstract:Let $\mathrm {SL}(2, \mathbb{H})$ be the group of $2 \times 2$ quaternionic matrices with quaternionic determinant $1$. The group $\mathrm {SL}(2, \mathbb{H})$ acts on the four-dimensional sphere $\widehat {\mathbb{H}}=\mathbb{H} \cup \{\infty\}$ by the (orientation-preserving) quaternionic Möbius transformations: $$A=\begin{pmatrix} a & b \\ c & d \end{pmatrix}: z \mapsto (az+b)(cz+d)^{-1}.$$ Using this action, the Möbius group may be identified with $\mathrm {PSL}(2, \mathbb{H})$. A quaternionic Möbius transformation $[A]$ is reversible if it is conjugate to its inverse in $\mathrm {PSL}(2, \mathbb{H})$. Given an element $A$ in $\mathrm {SL}(2, \mathbb{H})$, we provide a characterization in terms of the conjugacy invariants of $A$ that recognizes whether or not $[A]$ is reversible. Equivalently, this characterization detects whether $[A]$ is a product of two involutions or not. Further, we revisit the algebraic characterization of the quaternionic Möbius transformations.

Abstract:In this article, we first give a proof on the Arnold chord conjecture which states that every Reeb flow has at least as many Reeb chords as a smooth function on the Legendre submanifold has critical points on contact manifold. Second, we prove that every Reeb flow has at least as many close Reeb orbits as a smooth round function on the close contact manifold has critical circles on contact manifold. This also implies a proof on the fact that there exists at least number n close Reeb orbits on close (2n-1)-dimensional convex hypersurface in R^2n conjectured by Ekeland.
