Abstract:In this paper, we use the theory of deformation quantization to understand Connes' and Moscovici's results [A. Connes, H. Moscovici, Rankin–Cohen brackets and the Hopf algebra of transverse geometry, Mosc. Math. J. 4 (1) (2004) 111–130, 311]. We use Fedosov's method of deformation quantization of symplectic manifolds to reconstruct Zagier's deformation [D. Zagier, Modular forms and differential operators, in: K.G. Ramanathan Memorial Issue, Proc. Indian Acad. Sci. Math. Sci. 104 (1) (1994) 57–75] of modular forms, and relate this deformation to the Weyl–Moyal product. We also show that the projective structure introduced by Connes and Moscovici is equivalent to the existence of certain geometric data in the case of foliation groupoids. Using the methods developed by the second author [X. Tang, Deformation quantization of pseudo (symplectic) Poisson groupoids, Geom. Funct. Anal. 16 (3) (2006) 731–766], we reconstruct a universal deformation formula of the Hopf algebra H1 associated to codimension one foliations. In the end, we prove that the first Rankin–Cohen bracket RC1 defines a noncommutative Poisson structure for an arbitrary H1 action.

Abstract:We relate a universal formula for the deformation quantization of arbitrary Poisson structures proposed by Maxim Kontsevich to the Campbell-Baker-Hausdorff formula. Our basic thesis is that exponentiating a suitable deformation of the Poisson structure provides a prototype for such universal formulae.

Abstract:On a one-dimensional lattice without uniform interval, the Hermitian conjugation of a q-differential operator is discussed. Then a deformation of quantum mechanics in one dimension is presented. As an application, the harmonic oscillator is discussed. The energy spectrum and the eigenfunctions are shown to depend on an arbitrary deformation function. The deformed coherent states are also discussed. It is found that the completeness relation of coherent states holds for the case of q-coherent states, i.e. the deformation of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra is a q-analogue Hopf algebra.

Abstract:An elliptic two-parameter deformation of the (universal enveloping superalgebra of) affine Lie superalgebra osp(1|2) (1) is proposed in terms of free boson realization. This deformed superalgebra is shown to fit in the framework of infinite Hopf family of superalgebras, a generalization of the infinite Hopf family of algebras proposed earlier by the authors. The trigonometric and rational degenerations are briefly discussed.
On deformation quantization of quadratic Poisson structures

Abstract:We study the deformation complex of the dg wheeled properad of $\mathbb{Z}$-graded quadratic Poisson structures and prove that it is quasi-isomorphic to the even M. Kontsevich graph complex. As a first application we show that the Grothendieck-Teichmüller group acts on the genus completion of that wheeled properad faithfully and essentially transitively. As a second application we classify all universal quantizations of $\mathbb{Z}$-graded quadratic Poisson structures together with the underlying (so called) homogeneous formality maps. In particular we show that two universal quantizations of Poisson structures are equivalent if the agree on generic quadratic Poisson structures.

Abstract:Using a smooth version of the Connes–Thom isomorphism in Grensing’s bivariant K-theory for locally convex algebras, we prove an equivariant version of the Connes–Thom isomorphism in periodic cyclic homology. As an application, we prove that periodic cyclic homology is invariant with respect to equivariant strict deformation quantizations.

Abstract:We identify a class of "quasi-compact semi-separated" (qcss) twisted presheaves of algebras A for which well-behaved Grothendieck abelian categories of quasi-coherent modules Qch(A) are defined. This class is stable under algebraic deformation, giving rise to a 1-1 correspondence between algebraic deformations of A and abelian deformations of Qch(A). For a qcss presheaf A, we use the Gerstenhaber-Schack (GS) complex to explicitely parameterize the first order deformations. For a twisted presheaf A with central twists, we descibe an alternative category QPr(A) of quasi-coherent presheaves which is equivalent to Qch(A), leading to an alternative, equivalent association of abelian deformations to GS cocycles of qcss presheaves of commutative algebras. Our construction applies to the restriction O of the structure sheaf of a scheme X to a finite semi-separating open affine cover (for which we have an equivalence between Qch(O) and Qch(X)). Under a natural identification of Gerstenhaber-Schack cohomology of O and Hochschild cohomology of X, our construction is shown to be equivalent to Toda's construction in the smooth case.

Abstract:Kashiwara, Polesello, Schapira and D'Agnolo defined canonical deformation quantizations of a holomorphic symplectic manifold and a holomorphic Lagrangian submanifold equipped with an orientation data. The goal of this paper is to use deformation quantization modules to construct a Fukaya-like category of holomorphic Lagrangians, resolving a conjecture of Joyce. Our main result describes the RHom complex between two such deformation quantization modules associated to a pair of Lagrangian submanifolds in terms of the derived geometry of the Lagrangian intersection. Namely, we identify the RHom complex with the DT sheaf associated to the d-critical structure on the Lagrangian intersection. Via a Riemann-Hilbert correspondence this describes the RHom complex in the category of microsheaves of sheaf quantizations of conic holomorphic Lagrangians.

Abstract:On symplectic manifolds, we introduce a Morse-type complex with elements generated by pairs of critical points of a Morse function. The differential of the complex consists of gradient flows and an integration of the symplectic structure over spaces of gradient flow lines. Using the Witten deformation method, we prove that the cohomology of this complex is independent of both the Riemannian metric and the Morse function used to define the complex and is in fact isomorphic to the cohomology of differential forms of Tsai, Tseng and Yau (TTY). We also obtain Morse-type inequalities that bound the dimensions of the TTY cohomologies by the number of Morse critical points and the interaction of symplectic structure with the critical points.

On deformation quantization of the space of connections on a two manifold and Chern Simons Gauge Theory

Abstract:We use recent progress on Chern-Simons gauge theory in three dimensions [18] to give explicit, closed form formulas for the star product on some functions on the affine space ${\mathcal A}(\Sigma)$ of (smooth) connections on the trivialized principal $G$-bundle on a compact, oriented two manifold $\Sigma.$ These formulas give a close relation between knot invariants, such as the Kauffman bracket polynomial, and the Jones and HOMFLY polynomials, arising in Chern Simons gauge theory, and deformation quantization of ${\mathcal A}(\Sigma).$ This relation echoes the relation between the manifold invariants of Witten [20] and Reshetikhin-Turaev [16] and {\em geometric} quantization of this space (or its symplectic quotient by the action of the gauge group). In our case this relation arises from explicit algebraic formulas arising from the (mathematically well-defined) functional integrals of [18].

Abstract:Let (M, Q) be a dg manifold. The space of vector fields with shifted degrees (X(M)[-1], L-Q) is a Lie algebra object in the homology category H((C-M(infinity), Q)-mod) of dg modules over (M, Q), the Atiyah class alpha(M) being its Lie bracket. The triple (X(M)[-1], L-Q; alpha(M)) is also a Lie algebra object in the Gabriel-Zisman homotopy category Pi((C-M(infinity), Q)-mod). In this paper, we describe the universal enveloping algebra of (X(M)[-1], L-Q; alpha(M)) and prove that it is a Hopf algebra object in Pi((C-M(infinity), Q)-mod). Abstract:We study the relationship between antipodes on a Hopf algebroid $\mathcal{H}$ in the sense of Böhm-Szlachanyi and the group of twists that lies inside the associated convolution algebra. We specialize to the case of a faithfully flat $H$-Hopf-Galois extensions $B\subseteq A$ and related Ehresmann-Schauenburg bialgebroid. In particular, we find that the twists are in one-to-one correspondence with $H$-comodule algebra automorphism of $A$. We work out in detail the $U(1)$-extension ${\mathcal O}(\mathbb{C}P^{n-1}_q)\subseteq {\mathcal O}(S^{2n-1}_q)$ on the quantum projective space and show how to get an antipode on the bialgebroid out of the $K$-theory of the base algebra ${\mathcal O}(\mathbb{C}P^{n-1}_q)$.

Abstract: Drinfeld gave a current realization of the quantum affine algebras as a Hopf algebra with a simple comultiplication for the quantum current operators. In this paper, we will present a generalization of such a realization of quantum Hopf algebras. As a special case, we will choose the structure functions for this algebra to be elliptic functions to derive certain elliptic quantum groups as a Hopf algebra, which degenerates into quantum affine algebras if we take certain degeneration of the structure functions.
