Abstract:Sodium metal batteries have attracted extensive attentions due to their high energy density and low-cost resources. However, the realization of Na metal anodes is still hampered by intrinsic Na dendrite growth and uncontrollable volumetric expansion. Herein, a hybrid rGO/MXene film is fabricated via a filtration and spark approach, which is used as a sodiophilic anode host for stabilizing sodium-metal anode. The surface-attached MXene nanosheets could regulate the sodium deposition behavior and suppress dendrite growth, while the reduced graphene oxide scaffold provide the efficient electron transport pathways. As a result, the designed /MXene electrode shows excellent electrochemical performance in terms of high Coulombic efficiency, low deposition overpotential, and long-term cycling stability. Moreover, a Na3V2(PO4)3||Na full cell with a low N/P ratio of 3.8 is realized, showing great opportunities for practical sodium-metal batteries. The Supporting Information is available free of charge at <a class="ext-link" href="/doi/10.1021/acs.energyfuels.0c04408?goto=supporting-info">https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.energyfuels.0c04408</a>.Spark process from Go film to electrode and from GO/MXene to /MXene electrode, respectively (<a class="ext-link" href="/doi/suppl/10.1021/acs.energyfuels.0c04408/suppl_file/ef0c04408_si_001.mp4">MP4</a>, <a class="ext-link" href="/doi/suppl/10.1021/acs.energyfuels.0c04408/suppl_file/ef0c04408_si_002.mp4">MP4</a>)This article has not yet been cited by other publications.
