Abstract:Let C be a finite braided multitensor category. Then the end B = fX is an element of C X circle times X* is natural a Hopf algebra in C. We show that the Drinfeld center of C is isomorphic to the category of left B- comodules in C, and the decomposition of B into a direct sum of indecomposable C-subcoalgebras leads to a decomposition of B-Comod C into a direct sum of indecomposable C-module subcategories.As an application, we present an explicit characterization of the structure of irreducible Yetter-Drinfeld modules over semisimple and cosemisimple quasi-triangular weak Hopf algebras. Abstract:Abstract This work is a development of braids, tensor categories and Yang–Baxter operators. According to Li [Li, F. (1998). Weak Hopf algebras and some new solution of quantum Yang-Baxter equation. J. Algebra 208:72–100; Li, F. (2000). Solutions of Yang-Baxter equation in endomorphism semigroup and quasi-(co)braided almost bialgebras. Comm. Algebra 28(5):2253–2270], it can be seen as a continuation of studying (not necessarily invertible) solutions of the (quantum) Yang–Baxter equation. We firstly introduce the right braid monoids and discuss their properties. Then, we define pre-tensor categories, pre-tensor functors and quasi-braided pre-tensor categories, and investiage their characterizations. Three examples are given from respectively a weak Hopf algebra, a crossed S-set of a Clifford monoid and the (strict) right braid category. Two universalities of the (strict) right braid category are gotten in order to characterize a category of general Yang–Baxter operators and a quasi-braided pre-tensor category. In a pre-tensor category we build a general centre of a pre-tensor category as a generalization of a centre and show that it is a quasi-braided pre-tensor category. At the end, a categorical interpretation of the quantum quasi-double of a weak Hapf algebra is obtained under a certain condition.
Modular $\mathbb{Z}_2$-Crossed Tambara-Yamagami-like Categories for Even Groups

Abstract:We explicitly construct nondegenerate braided $\mathbb{Z}_2$-crossed tensor categories of the form $\operatorname{Vect}_\Gamma\oplus\operatorname{Vect}_{\Gamma/2\Gamma}$. They are $\mathbb{Z}_2$-crossed extensions, in the sense of <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="0909.3140" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0909.3140">arXiv:0909.3140</a>, of the braided tensor category $\operatorname{Vect}_\Gamma$ with $\mathbb{Z}_2$-action given by $-\mathrm{id}$ on the finite, abelian group $\Gamma$. Thus, we obtain generalisations of the Tambara-Yamagami categories, where now the abelian group $\Gamma$ may have even order and the nontrivial sector $\operatorname{Vect}_{\Gamma/2\Gamma}$ more than one simple object. The idea for this construction comes from a physically motivated approach in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2409.16357" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2409.16357">arXiv:2409.16357</a> to construct $\mathbb{Z}_2$-crossed extensions of $\operatorname{Vect}_\Gamma$ for any $\Gamma$ from an infinite Tambara-Yamagami category $\operatorname{Vect}_{\mathbb{R}^d}\oplus\operatorname{Vect}$, which itself is not fully rigorously defined, and then using condensation from $\operatorname{Vect}_{\mathbb{R}^d}$ to $\operatorname{Vect}_\Gamma$, which we prove commutes with crossed extensions. The $\mathbb{Z}_2$-equivariantisation of $\operatorname{Vect}_\Gamma\oplus\operatorname{Vect}_{\Gamma/2\Gamma}$ yields new modular tensor categories, which correspond to the orbifold of an arbitrary lattice vertex operator algebra under a lift of $-\mathrm{id}$, as discussed in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2409.16357" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2409.16357">arXiv:2409.16357</a>.

Abstract:In this paper, we mainly give some equivalent characterisations of Hopf braces, show that the category $\mathcal{CB}(A)$ of Hopf braces is equivalent to the category $\mathcal{C}(A)$ of bijective 1-cocycles, and prove that the category $\mathcal{CB}(A)$ of Hopf braces is also equivalent to the category $\mathcal{M}(A)$ of Hopf matched pairs. Moreover, we construct many more Hopf braces on polynomial Hopf algebras, Long copaired Hopf algebras and Drinfel'd doubles of finite dimensional Hopf algebras, and give a sufficient and necessary condition for a given bicrossed coproduct $A\bowtie H$ to be a Hopf brace if $A$ or $H$ is a Hopf brace.

Abstract:Giving a cotorsion pair in an abelian category ${\mathscr {C}}$, we have a sequence of exact functors between triangulated categories with respect to the pair, and construct right (left) adjoints of the exact functors such that the sequence is a (co)localization sequence. Further, for some especial cotorsion pairs, we gain a recollement and triangle-equivalences between corresponding triangulated categories. In particular, let (${\mathcal {A}}, {\mathcal {Z}}, {\mathcal {B}}$) and (${\mathcal {A}}_{1}, {\mathcal {Z}}_{1}, {\mathcal {B}}_{1}$) be two complete and hereditary cotorsion triples in ${\mathscr {C}}$ with ${\mathcal {A}}_{1}\subseteq {\mathcal {A}}$. We obtain a triangle-equivalence $K({\mathcal {A}})\simeq K({\mathcal {B}})$, which restricts to an equivalence $K({\mathcal {A}}_{1})\simeq K({\mathcal {B}}_{1})$.

Abstract:Let A and B be abelian categories with enough projective and injective objects, and T : A-B a left exact additive functor. Then one has a comma category (B*T). It is shown that If T : A-B is X-exact, then (*X, X) is a (hereditary) cotorsion pair in A and (*Y, Y)) is a (hereditary) cotorsion pair in B if and only if ((*X, Y ), <h(X, Y)> ) is a (hereditary) cotorsion pair in (B*T) and X and Y are closed under extensions. Furthermore, we characterize when special preenveloping classes in abelian categories A and B can induce special preenveloping classes in (B*T).

Abstract:We study actions of discrete groups on 2-categories. The motivating examples are actions on the 2-category of representations of finite tensor categories and their relation with the extension theory of tensor categories by groups. Associated to a group action on a 2-category, we construct the 2-category of equivariant objects. We also introduce the G-equivariant notions of pseudofunctor, pseudonatural transformation and modification. Our first main result is a coherence theorem for 2-categories with an action of a group. For a 2-category B with an action of a group G, we construct a braided G-crossed monoidal category Z_G(B) with trivial component the Drinfeld center of B. We prove that, in the case of a G-action on the 2-category of representation of a tensor category C, the 2-category of equivariant objects is biequivalent to the module categories over an associated G-extension of C. Finally, we prove that the center of the equivariant 2-category is monoidally equivalent to the equivariantization of a relative center, generalizing results obtained in [S. Gelaki, D. Naidu and D. Nikshych, Centers of graded fusion categories, Algebra Number Theory 3, No. 8 (2009), 959--990.]

The Reduced Tensor Product of Braided Tensor Categories Containing a Symmetric Fusion Category

Abstract:We detail a construction of a symmetric monoidal structure, called the reduced tensor product on the 2-category of braided tensor categories $\mathbf{BTC}(\mathcal{A})$ containing a fixed symmetric fusion subcategory $\mathcal{A}$. The construction only depends on the braiding and monoidal structure of the categories involved. The main tool in the construction is an enriching procedure that is shown to give an equivalence between $\mathbf{BTC}(\mathcal{A})$ and a 2-category of so-called Drinfeld centre crossed braided tensor categories. As an application of the reduced tensor product, we show that it gives a pairing between minimal modular extensions of braided tensor categories containing $\mathcal{A}$ as their transparent subcategory.

Derived Braids of Decreasing Products and their Categories

Abstract:Derived braids have been used to classify categorical structures based on the braid underlying a braided monoidal category V. With four-strand braids underlying the composition morphisms of tensor products of categories enriched over V, equality of derived braids has been seen to correspond with the results of Joyal and Street on coherence for braided monoidal categories, namely that diagrams commute when the braids underlying the legs of the diagram are equal. Equality of derived braids can then be seen as a generalization of the Yang-Baxter equation that appears in the work of Joyal and Street. The main result is a proof that decreasing products, which are braids formed from component braids with even numbers of strands, have equivalent derived braids. Plans for future work include interpreting what categorical structures correspond to decreasing products.

We introduce the notions of left Frobenius pairs, left ([math]-)cotorsion pairs and left (weak) Auslander-Buchweitz contexts with respect to [math] in [math]. We show how to construct left cotorsion pais from left [math]-cotorsion pairs, and establish a one-to-one correspondence between left Frobenius pairs and left (weak) Auslander-Buchweitz contexts. Some applications are given in the Gorenstein homological theory of triangulated categories.

Computing $G$-Crossed Extensions and Orbifolds of Vertex Operator Algebras

Abstract:In this article, we develop tools for computing $G$-crossed extensions of braided tensor categories, including all coherence data (associator, braiding, tensor structures). Their equivariantisations describe representation categories of fixed-point vertex operator algebras, also called orbifolds. The seminal work of Etingof, Nikshych and Ostrik asserts the existence and uniqueness of the $G$-crossed extensions we construct. In particular, for the group $G=\mathbb{Z}_2$ acting as inversion on a discriminant form or metric group, we explicitly construct a braided $\mathbb{Z}_2$-crossed tensor category with a nondegenerate braiding that generalises the Tambara-Yamagami category, now with more than one simple object in the twisted sector. Its equivariantisation yields the modular tensor category of the orbifold of a lattice vertex operator algebra under a lift of $-\mathrm{id}$. In order to derive the above result, we show that $G$-crossed extensions and condensations by commutative algebras commute appropriately, leading to an effective method for constructing new $G$-crossed extensions. Based on this, we also outline a strategy for addressing the general problem of lattice orbifolds.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose an axiomatic definition for a tensor product categorification. A tensor product categorification is an abelian category with a categorical action of a Kac-Moody algebra g in the sense of Rouquier or Khovanov-Lauda whose Grothendieck group is isomorphic to a tensor product of simple modules. However, we require a much stronger structure than a mere isomorphism of representations; most importantly, each such categorical representation must have standardly stratified structure compatible with the categorification functors, and with combinatorics matching those of the tensor product. With these stronger conditions, we recover a uniqueness theorem similar in flavor to that of Rouquier for categorifications of simple modules. Furthermore, we already know of an example of such a categorification: the representations of algebras T^\lambda previously defined by the second author using generators and relations. Next, we show that tensor product categorifications give a categorical realization of tensor product crystals analogous to that for simple crystals given by cyclotomic quotients of KLR algebras. Examples of such categories are also readily found in more classical representation theory; for finite and affine type A, tensor product categorifications can be realized as quotients of the representation categories of cyclotomic q-Schur algebras.

Abstract:We show that if $\mathcal{U}$ and $\mathcal{V}$ are locally finite abelian categories of modules for vertex operator algebras $U$ and $V$, respectively, then the Deligne tensor product of $\mathcal{U}$ and $\mathcal{V}$ can be realized as a certain category $\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{U},\mathcal{V})$ of modules for the tensor product vertex operator algebra $U\otimes V$. We also show that if $\mathcal{U}$ and $\mathcal{V}$ admit the braided tensor category structure of Huang-Lepowsky-Zhang, then $\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{U},\mathcal{V})$ does as well under mild additional conditions, and that this braided tensor structure is equivalent to the natural braided tensor structure on a Deligne tensor product category. These results hold in particular when $\mathcal{U}$ and $\mathcal{V}$ are the categories of $C_1$-cofinite $U$- and $V$-modules, if these categories are closed under contragredients, in which case we show that $\mathcal{D}(\mathcal{U},\mathcal{V})$ is the category of $C_1$-cofinite $U\otimes V$-modules. If $U$ and $V$ are $\mathbb{N}$-graded and $C_2$-cofinite, then we may take $\mathcal{U}$ and $\mathcal{V}$ to be the categories of all grading-restricted generalized $U$- and $V$-modules, respectively. Thus as an application, if the tensor categories of all modules for two $C_2$-cofinite vertex operator algebras are rigid, then so is the tensor category of all modules for the tensor product vertex operator algebra. We use this to prove that the representation categories of the even subalgebras of the symplectic fermion vertex operator superalgebras are non-semisimple modular tensor categories.

Under certain conditions, we present an explicit construction of gluing of $n$-cotorsion pairs in an abelian category $\mathcal{D}$ with respect to $n$-cotorsion pairs in abelian categories $\mathcal{D}^{'}$, $\mathcal{D}^{''}$ respectively.
