Abstract:Condyloma acuminatum (CA) is a papillomatous lesion associated with the human papillomavirus (HPV) and usually transmitted sexually. CA appears as solitary or multiple developing at a site of sexual contact or trauma. Differential diagnosis of CA includes verruca vulgaris, squamous papilloma and focal epithelial hyperplasia. A 57-year-old male patient, prison inmate, complaining of an asymptomatic lesion under the tongue with 5 months of evolution. Clinical examination revealed a pedunculated lesion on the lingual frenulum, with a warty surface and an approximate size of 1.5 cm.
