Abstract:In this short paper, we generalize Ismail–Zhang's q-2D Hermite polynomials (Trans Am Math Soc 369:6779–6821 (2017), [14]) with an extra parameter and prove that if an analytic function in several variables satisfies a set of partial differential equations of second order, then it can be expanded in terms of the product of the generalized q-2D Hermite polynomials. In addition, we give some generating functions as applications.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the Heine binomial operators H$_{n}(bD_{q})$ based on $q$-differential operator $D_{q}$. The motivation for introducing the operators H$_{n}(bD_{q})$ is that their limit turns out to be the $q$-exponential operator T$(bD_{q})$ given by Chen. The Hahn polynomials $\Phi_{m}^{(q^n)}(b,x|q)$ can easily be represented by using the operators H$_{n}(bD_{q})$. Here, we derive $q$-exponential and ordinary generating function, Mehler's formula, Rogers formula, and other identities for the polynomials $\Phi_{m}^{(q^n)}(b,x|q)$.

Abstract:We introduce a new class of holomorphic polynomials extending the classical Gould–Hopper to two complex variables. The considered polynomials include the 1-D and 2-D holomorphic and polyanalytic Itô–Hermite polynomials as particular cases. We emphasize studying their operational representation, various generating functions, and recurrence relations. We also establish some special identities including multiplication, Runge addition and Nielson types formulas. Higher-order partial differential equations are analyzed and the connection to Gould-Hopper polynomials and hypergeometric functions are investigated.

Abstract:The authors introduce a pair of canonical-conjugate q-deformed operators D, X and discuss the relations between the deformed operators D, X and q-series. The realizations of some Lie symmetries, Heisenberg and quantum Heisenberg algebras are given for the operators D and X. They show that the q-analogous Hermite polynomials are representations of Heisenberg and quantum Heisenberg algebras realized in this way. When q is a root of unity, the properties of the q-analogous Hermite polynomials are also discussed.

Abstract:This paper presents a new formula for the q-shift operator, building on the techniques by Liu and Sears. This formula provides fresh proof of the Carlitz formula and extends it naturally. As applications, we derive an equivalent form of the generalized Carlitz formula to prove two $q$-congruences on cyclotomic polynomials, which expand upon the results of Guo et al.

Abstract:Let $\lambda =\left( \lambda_{1},\lambda_{2},...,\lambda_{r}\right) $ be an integer partition, and $\left[p_{\lambda }\right] $ the $q$-analog of the symmetric power function $%p_{\lambda }$. This $q$-analogue has been defined as a special case, in the author's previous article: "A $q$-analog of certain symmetric functions and one of its specializations". Here, we prove that a large part of the classical relations between $p_{\lambda }$, on one hand, and the elementary and complete symmetric functions $e_{n}$ and $h_{n}$, on the other hand, have $q$-analogues with $\left[ p_{\lambda }\right] $. In particular, the generating functions $E\left( t\right) =\sum\nolimits_{n\geq 0}e_{n}t^{n}$ and $H\left( t\right) =\sum\nolimits_{n\geq 0}h_{n}t^{n}$ are expressed in terms of $\left[ p_{n}\right] $, using Gessel's $q$-exponential formula and a variant of it. A factorization of these generating functions into infinite $q$-products, which has no classical counterpart, is established. By specializing these results, we show that the $q$-binomial theorem is a special case of these infinite $q$-products. We also obtain new formulas for the tree inversions enumerators and for certain $q$-orthogonal polynomials, detailing the case of dicrete $q$-Hermite polynomials.

Abstract:We use the Poisson kernel of the continuous $q$-Hermite polynomials to introduces families of integral operators, which are semigroups of linear operators. We describe the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of one family of operators. The action of the semigroups of operators on the Askey--Wilson polynomials is shown to only change the parameters but preserves the degrees, hence we produce transmutation relation for the Askey--Wilson polynomials. The transmutation relations are then used to derive bilinear generating functions involving the Askey--Wilson polynomials.

Abstract:In this paper, we present four characterizations of q-Dunkl-classical orthogonal polynomials. The first one is a Tθ,q -distributional equation of Pearson type fulfilled by its associated form, where Tθ,q is the q-Dunkl operator. The second is a second order linear Tθ,q -difference equation. The third is a first order linear Tθ,q -difference equation with polynomial coefficients satisfied by the corresponding Stieltjes function. The fourth is the so-called structure relation fulfilled by q-Dunkl-classical polynomials. Moreover, we provide an example of a non-symmetric sequence of Tθ,q -classical orthogonal polynomials.

Abstract:Two sets of mutually commuting $q-$difference operators $x_i$ and $y_j$, $i,j=1, ...,N$ such that $x_i$ and $y_i$ generate a homomorphic image of the $q-$Onsager algebra for each $i$ are introduced. The common polynomial eigenfunctions of each set are found to be entangled product of elementary Pochhammer functions in $N$ variables and $N+3$ parameters. Under certain conditions on the parameters, they form two `dual' bases of polynomials in $N$ variables. The action of each operator with respect to its dual basis is block tridiagonal. The overlap coefficients between the two dual bases are expressed as entangled products of $q-$Racah polynomials and satisfy an orthogonality relation. The overlap coefficients between either one of these bases and the multivariable monomial basis are also considered. One obtains in this case entangled products of dual $q-$Krawtchouk polynomials. Finally, the `split' basis in which the two families of operators act as block bidiagonal matrices is also provided.

Abstract:This study presents a novel family of bivariate 2D- q q Hermite polynomials. We derive explicit forms and q q -partial differential equations and investigate numerical aspects associated with these polynomials. Furthermore, we deduce the monomiality principle and other key properties of the bivariate 2D- q q Hermite polynomials, including q q -recurrence relations and q q -difference equations. In addition, the graphical representations for the bivariate 2D- q q Hermite polynomials and q q -Hermite polynomials are explored for different values of indices.

Abstract:In the realm of specialized functions, the allure of q -calculus beckons to many scholars, captivating them with its prowess in shaping models of quantum computing, noncommutative probability, combinatorics, functional analysis, mathematical physics, approximation theory, and beyond. This study explores a new idea called the multidimensional q -Hermite polynomials, using different q -calculus techniques. Numerous properties and novel findings regarding these polynomials are derived, encompassing their generating function, series representations, recurrence relations, q -differential formula, and operational principles. Further, we proved that these polynomials are quasi-monomial in q -aspect. As the applications, these findings are subsequently employed to address connection between the multidimensional q -Hermite polynomials and the two-variable q -Legendre polynomials for the first time. Various characterizations are examined, as well the graphical representations of the two-variable q -Legendre polynomials are provided by the surface plots and graphs of distribution of zeros for the q -Legendre polynomials with some specific set of parameters are shown using Mathematica. Our investigations shed light on the intricate nature of these polynomials, elucidating their behaviour and facilitating deeper understanding within the realm of q -calculus.

Abstract:A noteworthy advancement within the discipline of q-special function analysis involves the extension of the concept of the monomiality principle to q-special polynomials. This extension helps analyze the quasi-monomiality of many q-special polynomials. This extension is a helpful tool for considering the quasi-monomiality of several q-special polynomials. This study aims to identify and establish the characteristics of the 2-variable q-Hermite–Appell polynomials via an extension of the concept of monomiality. Also, we present some applications that are taken into account.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the existence of positive solutions for a system of fractional $ q $-difference equations with generalized $ p $-Laplacian operators. By using Guo-Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem, we obtain some existence results of positive solutions for this system with two parameters under some different combinations of superlinearity and sublinearity of the nonlinear terms. In the end, we give two examples to illustrate our main results.

Abstract:We obtain some properties of a class of $q$-hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials with $q=-1$, described by a uniform parametrization of the recurrence coefficients. We show that our class contains the Bannai-Ito polynomials and other known -1 polynomials. We introduce some new examples of -1 polynomials and also obtain matrix realizations of the Bannai-Ito algebra.

Abstract:In 1974, Carlitz and Scoville introduced the Stirling–Eulerian polynomial as the enumerator of permutations by descents, ascents, left-to-right maxima and right-to-left maxima. Recently, Ji considered a refinement of , denoted , which is the enumerator of permutations by valleys, peaks, double ascents, double descents, left-to-right maxima and right-to-left maxima. Using Chen's context-free grammar calculus, Ji proved a formula for the generating function of , generalizing the work of Carlitz and Scoville. Ji's formula has many nice consequences, one of which is an intriguing -positivity expansion for . In this paper, we prove a q -analog of Ji's formula by using Gessel's q -compositional formula and provide a combinatorial approach to her -positivity expansion of .
