Ostenecrosis By The Use Of Bisphosphonates: A Case Report.

Abstract:The female patient, 80 years old, was referred to the stomatology clinic, complaining of "gum pain." In the anamnesis, she reported having pulmonary fibrosis, diabetes, and using Osteofar for the treatment of osteoporosis. In the intraoral examination, bone exposure was found in the alveolar ridge of the mandible on the right side. A CBCT was requested to assess the lesion, and from it, it was found that it was drug-induced osteonecrosis. Faced with this diagnosis, the patient began the use of Tocopherol 400mg + Pentoxifylline 400 mg and application of methylene blue 0.010% for 30 minutes, along with the application of Red Laser, 4J per point in two points, and application of infrared laser in the periapical region, 1J per point in three points, until the lesion regressed.
