Abstract:In recent years, the generalized sum-of-divisor functions of MacMahon have been unified into the algebraic framework of $q$-multiple zeta values. In particular, these results link partition theory, quasimodular forms, $q$-multiple zeta values, and quasi-shuffle algebras. In this paper, we complete this idea of unification for higher levels, demonstrating that any quasimodular form of weight $k \geq 2$ and level $N$ may be expressed in terms of the $q$-multiple zeta values of level $N$ studied algebraically by Yuan and Zhao. We also give results restricted to $q$-multiple zeta values with integer coefficients, and we construct completely additive generating sets for spaces of quasimodular forms and for quasimodular forms with integer coefficients. We also provide a variety of computational examples from number-theoretic perspectives that suggest many new applications of the algebraic structure of $q$-multiple zeta values to quasimodular forms and partitions.

Algebraic identities among $q$- analogue of Euler double zeta values

Abstract:In 2003, Zudilin presented a $q$-analogue of Euler's identity for one of the variants of $q$-double zeta function. This article focuses on exploring identities related to another variant of $q$-double zeta function and its star variant. Using a $q$-analogue of the Nielsen Reflexion Formula for $q>1$, we investigate identities involving different versions of $q$-analogues of the Riemann zeta function and the double-zeta function. Additionally, we analyze the behavior of $\zeta_q(s_1, s_2)$ as $s_1$ and $s_2$ approach to $0$ and compare these limits to those of the classical double-zeta function. Finally, we discuss the $q$-analogue of the Mordell-Tornheim $r$-ple zeta function and its relation with the $q$-double zeta function.

V1647 Ori: The X-ray Evolution of a Pre-main Sequence Accretion Burst

Abstract:We present Chandra X-ray Observatory monitoring observations of the recent accretion outburst displayed by the pre-main sequence (pre-MS) star V1647 Ori. The X-ray observations were obtained over a period beginning prior to outburst onset in late 2003 and continuing through its apparent cessation in late 2005, and demonstrate that the mean flux of the spatially coincident X-ray source closely tracked the near-infrared luminosity of V1647 Ori throughout its eruption. We find negligible likelihood that the correspondence between X-ray and infrared light curves over this period was the result of multiple X-ray flares unrelated to the accretion burst. The recent Chandra data confirm that the X-ray spectrum of V1647 Ori hardened during outburst, relative both to its pre-outburst state and to the X-ray spectra of nearby pre-MS stars in the L1630 cloud. We conclude that the observed changes in the X-ray emission from V1647 Ori over the course of its 2003-2005 eruption were generated by a sudden increase and subsequent decline in its accretion rate. These results for V1647 Ori indicate that the flux of hard X-ray emission from erupting low-mass, pre-MS stars, and the duration and intensity of such eruptions, reflect the degree to which star-disk magnetic fields are reorganized before and during major accretion events.

Abstract:In this paper we study that the $q$-Euler numbers and polynomials are analytically continued to $E_q(s)$. A new formula for the Euler's $q$-Zeta function $\zeta_{E,q}(s)$ in terms of nested series of $\zeta_{E,q}(n)$ is derived. Finally we introduce the new concept of the dynamics of analytically continued $q$-Euler numbers and polynomials.

Abstract:It is well known that zeta(2) = pi(2)/6 as discovered by Euler. We present the following two q-analogues of this celebrated formula: Sigma(infinity)(k=0)q(k)(1 + q(2k+1))/(1 - q(2k+1))(2) = Pi(n=1 infinity)(1 - q(2n))(4)/(1 -q (2n-1))(4), Sigma(infinity)(k=0)q(2k)- [(-1)(k) k/2]/(1 - q(2k+1))(2 )= Pi(infinity )(n=1)(1 - q(2n))(2)(1 - q(4n))(2)/(1 - q(2n-1))(2)(1 - q(4n-2))(2), where q is any complex number with vertical bar q vertical bar < 1. We also give a q-analogue of the identity zeta(4) = pi(4)/90, and pose a problem on q-analogues of Euler's formula for zeta(2m) (m = 3,4, ...).

Abstract:We introduce the balanced multiple q-zeta values. They give a new model for multiple q-zeta values, whose product formula combines the shuffle and stuffle product for multiple zeta values in a natural way. Moreover, the balanced multiple q-zeta values are invariant under a very explicit involution. Thus, all relations among the balanced multiple q-zeta values are conjecturally of a very simple shape. Examples of the balanced multiple q-zeta values are the classical Eisenstein series, and they also contain the combinatorial multiple Eisenstein series. The construction of the balanced multiple q-zeta values is done on the level of generating series. We introduce a general setup relating Hoffman's quasi-shuffle products to explicit symmetries among generating series of words, which gives a clarifying approach to Ecalle's theory of bimoulds. This allows us to obtain an isomorphism between the underlying Hopf algebras of words related to the combinatorial bi-multiple Eisenstein series and the balanced multiple q-zeta values.

Abstract:In this short paper, we generalize Ismail–Zhang's q-2D Hermite polynomials (Trans Am Math Soc 369:6779–6821 (2017), [14]) with an extra parameter and prove that if an analytic function in several variables satisfies a set of partial differential equations of second order, then it can be expanded in terms of the product of the generalized q-2D Hermite polynomials. In addition, we give some generating functions as applications.
Electron interference in mesoscopic devices in the presence of nonclassical electromagnetic fields

Abstract:The interaction of mesoscopic interference devices with nonclassical electromagnetic fields is studied. The external quantum fields induce a phase factor on the electric charges. This phase factor, which is a generalization of the standard Aharonov-Bohm phase factor, is in the case of nonclassical electromagnetic fields a quantum mechanical operator. Its expectation value depends on the density matrix describing the nonclassical photons and determines the interference. Several examples are discussed, which show that the quantum noise of the nonclassical photons destroys slightly the electron interference fringes. An interesting application arises in the context of distant electron interference devices, irradiated with entangled photons. In this case the interfering electrons in the two devices become entangled. The same ideas are applied in the context of SQUID rings irradiated with nonclassical electromagnetic fields. It is shown that the statistics of the Cooper pairs tunneling through the Josephson junction depend on the statistics of the photons.

Abstract:Interpolated multiple $q$-zeta values are deformation of multiple $q$-zeta values with one parameter, $t$, and restore classical multiple zeta values as $t = 0$ and $q \to 1$. In this paper, we discuss generating functions for sum of interpolated multiple $q$-zeta values with fixed weight, depth and $i$-height. The functions are systematically expressed in terms of the basic hypergeometric functions. Compared with the result of Ohno and Zagier, our result includes three generalizations: general height, $q$-deformation and $t$-interpolation. As an application, we prove some expected relations for interpolated multiple $q$-zeta values including sum formulas.

Abstract:In this study, we construct the two-variable multiple Dirichlet q-L-function and two-variable multiple Dirichlet type Changhee q-L-function. These functions interpolate the q-Bernoulli polynomials and generalized Changhee q-Bernoulli polynomials. By using the Mellin transformation, we give an integral representation for the two-variable multiple Dirichlet type q-zeta function and the two variable multiple Dirichlet type Changhee q-L-function.

Abstract:In this paper, we will study finite multiple $T$-values (MTVs) and their alternating versions, which are level two and level four variations of finite multiple zeta values, respectively. We will first provide some structural results for level two finite multiple zeta values (i.e., finite Euler sums) for small weights, guided by the author's previous conjecture that the finite Euler sum space of weight, $w$, is isomorphic to a quotient Euler sum space of weight, $w$. Then, by utilizing some well-known properties of the classical alternating MTVs, we will derive a few important $\Q$-linear relations among the finite alternating MTVs, including the reversal, linear shuffle, and sum relations. We then compute the upper bound for the dimension of the $\Q$-span of finite (alternating) MTVs for some small weights by rigorously using the newly discovered relations, numerically aided by computers.

Throughout our exposition, we shall give generalizations to the results given by Dilcher, Prodinger, Fu and Lascoux, Zeng, and Guo and Zhang concerning $q$-series identities related to divisor functions. Our exposition shall also provide a generalization of the duality relation for finite multiple harmonic $q$-series given by Bradley.

Abstract:In this paper, we show how to deduce several moment integrals by the method of q-difference equation. In addition, we obtain several generalizations of transformational identities by the technique of moment integrals. Meanwhile, we obtain some special cases of bilateral-unilateral series and the Rogers-Ramanujan identities as by-products. Moreover, we give two mixed generating functions for generalized Rogers-Szego polynomials by moment integrals and derive two transformational identities by symmetry. At last, a trilinear generating function for generalized Rogers-Szego polynomials is given by moment integrals.
