Abstract:Innovation is a social process. The interaction between multiple social domains determines fierce competitive environment of innovation. This article presents a theory of evolutional mechanism of innovation, defines the specific concepts of the four social domains and analyses three selection and evolutionary stages of the process of innovation evolution. And one time, a case study of the selection process within Siemens depicts the practical application. Elaborated research on evolutional mechanism assists organizations exploit their approaches to improve their capabilities of innovation-focus on using managerial practices to improve innovative capabilities, but not simply improve individual innovative capabilities. © 2004 IEEE.

Abstract:This article sheds light on the Schumpeterian entrepreneurship in the historical and contemporary context, J.A. Schumpeter (1883-1950) propounded a theory of entrepreneurship which was at quite variance with the then commonly accepted Marshallian entrepreneurship theory of entrepreneurship as establishment and successful or profitable organization of business organizations. As against this, Schumpeter’s entrepreneurship theory associates entrepreneurship not only with organizations of businesses, but also with Innovations or continuous business development. Schumpeter costs and entrepreneurship as the central factor of economic development. The result is not a doom of capitalism foreseen by least Marx, but a progressive free-enterprise system. Thus, it is the human factor which emerges as the dominant factor in business and economic development. The theory is of contemporary relevance, as evident from the current entrepreneurship and micro enterprises to combat multiple socioeconomic problems.

Abstract:At present, the discussion on the dichotomy between statics and dynamics is resolved by concentrating on its mathematical meaning. Yet, a simple formalisation masks the underlying methodological discussion. Overcoming this limitation, the paper discusses Schumpeter's and Veblen's viewpoint on dynamic economic systems as systems generating change from within. It contributes to an understanding on their ideas of how economics could become an evolutionary science and on their contributions to elaborate an evolutionary economics. It confronts Schumpeter's with Veblen's perspective on evolutionary economics and provides insight into their evolutionary economic theorising by discussing their ideas on the evolution of capitalism.

Abstract:The research on innovation theory has gone through more than a hundred years since 1912. With the efforts of numerous researchers, it has gradually formed an interdisciplinary,and systematic knowledge, which provides significant theoretical support for the economic and social development of countries all over the world, becoming an important theoretical school of social science. Because of the increasingly fierce global competition, emerging international conflicts, and geopolitical issues, the implementation of innovation-driven development strategy under the new development paradigm develops a more systematic innovation system and constantly improves this system, so as to form the innovation science（IS）.On the basis of summarizing the existing literature reviews of innovation theory, this paper conducts innovative research on IS based on Kuhn’s philosophy of science,which put forward the framework of "scientific community-paradigm-science".Firstly, Based on the former’s outstanding researches, this paper analyzes the relationship among these scholars’ researches, sorts out the scientific schools and draws the research context diagram to reflect the relationship of scholars in the field of innovation studies.Secondly, this paper identifies three paradigms of IS（i.e. Schumpeterian innovation paradigm, Neo-Schumpeterian innovation paradigm and Post-Schumpeterian innovation paradigm）based on the research commonality of the scientific communities. This paper expounds the connotation of three paradigms by elaborating and analyzing the research focus, progress and research achievements. Correspondingly, it compares the historical background, innovation role, innovation and governance mode of each paradigm, to present the evolution rule of IS.Finally, the theoretical map of IS is constructed based on the above analysis, which contains the evolution of innovation paradigms and multiple disciplies. The latter shows that more and more disclines need to be integrated with the increasing complexity of innovation, and present a scene of edge crossover and systematic integration of IS.The main contribution of this paper are introducing the analytical framework of Kuhn’s philosophy of science into the field of innovation research and establishing a systematic framework IS, as well as providing a theoretical map of IS which is benefit for the theory foundation of IS.

Abstract:The microinnovation management can be summarized into three perspectives, 1, the sources of innovation and the principal of innovation, 2, the process of innovation, 3, innovation value-added. Addressing on different answers of the three questions above, the concept of three stages evolution emerged by deeper research and practices in innovation management. The three stages are been through "event view", "process view", to "capability view". This paper conducted theoretical study and real world practices regarding the three views, and concluded outcome that "capability view" is inevitable trend of innovation management.

Abstract:Innovation is the powerful headspring that makes the economy and society continue with sustainable development, and how to innovate is a current research issue all over the world. The purposes of this research are to examine Chinese-style innovations and to analyze the influence of Chinese-style innovation on the international market in the current economic times. From multiple perspectives of institutional innovation as well as scientific and technological innovation, the content, characteristics and connotation of Chinese-style innovation are comprehensively expounded and analyzed through the collection, combination and exploration of innovation, especially in Chinese-style innovation literature and interviews with relevant scholars, experts and enterprises. Then, the fit of Chinese-style innovation and characteristics of the new economic era are systematically described. Based on the exploration of international repercussions of Chinese-style innovation from both macro and micro aspects, the mechanism of Chinese-style innovation’s influence on China’s international market is also analyzed. In China, the underlying concept has not been well investigated before, therefore there is a gap in which to do research in this area. In accordance with the current research, a conceptual model for the new economic era, Chinese-style innovation and China’s international repercussions is established. This study finds that the influence of Chinese companies in research and development has significantly improved, the all-round and multi-domain pattern of Chinese enterprises’ overseas development has gradually taken shape, Chinese companies’ overseas social responsibility is growing, the overseas competitiveness of Chinese companies has gradually increased, the overall strength of China’s science and technology has gradually gained international recognition and its international repercussions have improved significantly.

Abstract:Schumpeter placed the entrepreneur and innovation at the center of capitalism and thought that once monopoly capitalism inevitably emerges, the link between individual initiative and innovation will be broken. Capitalism will then undermine its own institutional context and socialism would ultimately emerge. But his support for socialism was nuanced and restricted to mature capitalism; for him, unfettered capitalism was preferable to socialism with fascist features. For Young Smith's relationship between the division of labor and market size was central to growth, and the role of the entrepreneur was more to find markets than innovation. The objective of this paper is to analyze the contrasting views of Schumpeter and Young on endogenous process of growth and the future of capitalism itself, particularly pertaining to the emergence of monopoly capitalism.
