Abstract:The novel Na4Cr2Nb98O250 (NCNO) material exhibits a modified N‐Nb2O5 isostructural defect phase that can optimize 3D Li‐ion transport channels and enhance the electronic conductivity, leading to a superior Li‐ion diffusion coefficient (DLi). The enhancement of Li‐ion diffusion and electronic conductivity leads the NCNO anode to achieve the highest reversible capacity among M‐ and N‐Nb2O5 materials and remarkable stability. Niobate materials are regarded as promising anode materials for Lithium‐ion batteries. Inspired by the design of shear‐type ReO3 materials through the multivalent cations substitution defect construction method, nonequivalent Na4M2Nb98O250 (M = Fe, Cr, NFNO, NCNO) anode materials are synthesized. The novel NCNO material exhibits a modified N‐Nb2O5 isostructural defect phase that can optimize 3D Li‐ion transport channels and enhance the electronic conductivity, leading to a superior ionic diffusion coefficient (DLi) and good structural stability. It shows balanced high performance with respect to specific capacity, rate capacity and cyclability. Furthermore, it also demonstrates outstanding wide‐temperature (−10 to 45 °C) lithiation performance, especially at low temperature (−10 °C) of a capacity exceeding 100 mAh g−1 at 5C and minimal capacity decay (0.012% per cycle) after 1000 cycles, indicating the great potential of wide temperature energy storage.
