Abstract:We obtain some new characterizations of a variable version of Lipschitz spaces in terms of the boundedness of commutators of sharp maximal functions, fractional maximal functions or fractional maximal commutators in the context of the variable Lebesgue spaces, where the symbols of the commutators belong to the variable Lipschitz space. A useful tool is that a symbol b belongs a variable Lipschitz space of pointwise type if and only if b belongs to a variable Lipschitz space of integral type under certain assumptions.

The relative minimal model program for excellent algebraic spaces and analytic spaces in equal characteristic zero

Abstract:We establish the relative minimal model program with scaling for projective morphisms of quasi-excellent algebraic spaces admitting dualizing complexes, quasi-excellent formal schemes admitting dualizing complexes, semianalytic germs of complex analytic spaces, rigid analytic spaces, Berkovich spaces, and adic spaces locally of weakly finite type over a field, all in equal characteristic zero. To do so, we prove finite generation of relative adjoint rings associated to projective morphisms of such spaces using the strategy of Cascini and Lazić and the generalization of the Kawamata-Viehweg vanishing theorem to the scheme setting recently established by the second author. To prove these results uniformly, we prove GAGA theorems for Grothendieck duality and dualizing complexes to reduce to the algebraic case. In addition, we apply our methods to establish the relative minimal model program with scaling for spaces of the form above in dimensions $\le 3$ in positive and mixed characteristic, and to show that one can run the relative minimal model program with scaling for complex analytic spaces without shrinking the base at each step.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider linear functionals defined on an unital commutative real algebra A and establish characterizations for moment functionals on compact sets of characters that depend only on the given functional. For example, we obtain a characterization of a moment functional on a product of symmetric intervals, in which we do not assume that the functional is positive semidefinite but positive on a semiring of A, and a characterization of a moment functional that is a solution to the moment problem on a product of arbitrary intervals. We also prove a Positivstellensatz for an archimedean cone, which is neither a quadratic module nor a semiring.

Abstract:In this paper, we are interested in studying a generalized block space (denoted as ) on a space of homogeneous type. We show that this space is the predual of certain generalized Morrey–Lorentz space. By duality, we obtain the -bound of operators of Calderón–Zygmund type. In addition, we prove a weak Hardy factorization in terms of commutators of integral operator of Calderón–Zygmund type in block spaces. Thanks to the Hardy factorization result, we obtain a characterization of functions in via the boundedness of commutators of homogeneous linear Calderón–Zygmund operators in the generalized block space (resp. the generalized Morrey–Lorentz space). Finally, we study a compactness characterization of commutators of Calderón–Zygmund type in generalized Morrey–Lorentz spaces.

Abstract:It is easy to see that every character (i.e. unital *-homomorphism to the complex numbers) of a commutative unital associative *-algebra is a pure state (i.e. extreme point in the convex set of all normalized positive linear functionals). This article gives sufficient conditions for the converse to be true as well. In order to formulate these results together with similar ones, e.g. for locally convex *-algebras, the notion of an abstract O*-algebra (unital associative *-algebra with an order defined by positive linear functionals) is introduced. Many concepts and intermediary results discussed here also apply to the non-commutative case.

Abstract:This paper establishes a necessary and sufficient condition for the coincidence of non-commutative -algebras constructed from different faithful normal semifinite traces. Consequently, we provide a criterion for the isomorphism of -algebras built on non-commutative von Neumann algebras with different faithful normal semifinite traces. Additionally, we demonstrate a connection between the isomorphism of non-commutative -algebras and the isomorphism of the corresponding -algebras constructed on the center of these von Neumann algebras. Furthermore, we present a necessary and sufficient condition for the isomorphism of -algebras derived from different von Neumann algebras of type .

Non-linear traces on semifinite factors and generalized singular values

Abstract:We introduce non-linear traces of the Choquet type and Sugeno type on a semifinite factor as a non-commutative analog of the Choquet integral and Sugeno integral for non-additive measures. We need a weighted dimension function for projections , which is an analog of a monotone measure. They have certain partial additivities. We show that these partial additivities characterize non-linear traces of both the Choquet type and Sugeno type, respectively. Based on the notion of generalized eigenvalues and singular values, we show that non-linear traces of the Choquet type are closely related to the Lorentz function spaces and the Lorentz operator spaces if the weight functions are concave. For the algebras of compact operators and factors of type , we completely determine the condition that the associated weighted -spaces for the non-linear traces become quasi-normed spaces in terms of the weight functions for any . We also show that any non-linear trace of the Sugeno type yields a certain metric on the factor. This is an attempt at non-linear and non-commutative integration theory on semifinite factors.

Abstract:In this paper, new purely topological approaches are furnished in order to characterize self-majorizing elements in an Archimedean vector lattice A . More precisely, it is shown that an element $0<f\in a$ is a self-majorizing element if and only if every f -maximal order ideal of A is relatively uniformly closed. In addition, it is proved that self-majorizing elements are characterized via the hull–kernel topology on both the set of all proper prime order ideals and on the set of all g -maximal order ideals of A , for all In fact, the set of all prime order ideals of A not containing f (respectively, the set of all g -maximal order ideals of A not containing f , for all is a closed with respect to the hull–kernel topology on (respectively, on if and only if f is a self-majorizing element in A .

Abstract:Let $0 \leq \alpha<n$ and $b$ be the locally integrable function. In this paper, we consider the maximal commutator of fractional maximal function $M_{b,\alpha}$ and the nonlinear commutator of fractional maximal function $[b, M_{\alpha}]$ on Lorentz spaces. We give some necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of the commutators $M_{b,\alpha}$ and $[b, M_{\alpha}]$ on Lorentz spaces when the function $b$ belongs to BMO spaces, by which some new characterizations of certain subclasses of BMO spaces are obtained.

Character Space and Gelfand type representation of locally C^{*}-algebra

Abstract:In this article, we identify a suitable approach to define the character space of a commutative unital locally $C^{\ast}$-algebra via the notion of the inductive limit of topological spaces. Also, we discuss topological properties of the character space. We establish the Gelfand type representation between a commutative unital locally $C^{\ast}$-algebra and the space of all continuous functions defined on its character space. Equivalently, we prove that every commutative unital locally $C^{\ast}$-algebra is identified with the locally $C^{\ast}$-algebra of continuous functions on its character space through the coherent representation of projective limit of $C^{\ast}$-algebras. Finally, we construct a unital locally $C^{\ast}$-algebra generated by a given locally bounded normal operator and show that its character space is homeomorphic to the local spectrum. Further, we define the functional calculus and prove spectral mapping theorem in this framework.

Abstract:Given a finite group $G$, the solubilizer of an element $x$, denoted by $\Sol_G(x)$, is the set of all elements $y$ such that $\langle x, y\rangle$ is a soluble subgroup of $G$. In this paper, we provide a classification for all solubilizers of elements in minimal simple groups. We also examine these sets to explore their properties by discussing some computational methods and making some conjectures for further work.
