Abstract:In this paper, we show how to deduce several moment integrals by the method of q-difference equation. In addition, we obtain several generalizations of transformational identities by the technique of moment integrals. Meanwhile, we obtain some special cases of bilateral-unilateral series and the Rogers-Ramanujan identities as by-products. Moreover, we give two mixed generating functions for generalized Rogers-Szego polynomials by moment integrals and derive two transformational identities by symmetry. At last, a trilinear generating function for generalized Rogers-Szego polynomials is given by moment integrals.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate applications of the ordinary derivative operator, instead of the $q$-derivative operator, to the theory of $q$-series. As main results, many new summation and transformation formulas are established which are closely related to some well-known formulas such as the $q$-binomial theorem, Ramanujan's ${}_1\psi_1$ formula, the quintuple product identity, Gasper's $q$-Clausen product formula, and Rogers' ${}_6\phi_5$ formula, etc. Among these results is a finite form of the Rogers-Ramanujan identity and a short way to Eisenstein's theorem on Lambert series.

Strong $q$-analogues for values of the Dirichlet beta function

Abstract:An infinite class of relations between modular forms is constructed that generalizes evaluations of the Dirichlet beta function at odd positive integers. The work is motivated by a base case appearing in Ramanujan's Notebooks and a parallel construction for the Riemann zeta function. The identities are shown to be strong $q$-analogues by virtue of their reduction to the classical beta evaluations as $q\to 1^{-}$ and explicit evaluations at CM points for $|q|<1$. Inequalities of Deligne determine asymptotic formulas for the Fourier coefficients of the associated modular forms.

Abstract:We present outlines of a general method to reach certain kinds of $q$-multiple sum identities. Throughout our exposition, we shall give generalizations to the results given by Dilcher, Prodinger, Fu and Lascoux, Zeng, and Guo and Zhang concerning $q$-series identities related to divisor functions. Our exposition shall also provide a generalization of the duality relation for finite multiple harmonic $q$-series given by Bradley.

Abstract:S. Ramanujan introduced a technique in 1913 for providing analytic expressions for certain Mellin-type integrals which is now known as Ramanujan's Master Theorem. This technique was communicated through his "Quarterly Reports" and has a wide range of applicability in calculating the values of certain definite integrals. In this paper, we have presented some extensions of Ramanujan's Master Theorem that arise from the k-gamma function and the p-k gamma function. Furthermore, we have established a Mellin type double integral along with its corollaries. Some applications are established through the evaluation of a variety of definite integrals.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the $5$-dissections of certain Ramanujan's theta functions, particularly $\psi(q)\psi(q^2), \varphi(-q)$ and $\varphi(-q)\varphi(-q^2)$, and derive an identity for $q(q;q)_{\infty}^6/(q^5;q^5)_{\infty}^6$ in terms of certain products of the Rogers-Ramanujan continued fraction $R(q)$. Using this identity, we give another proof of the modular equation involving $R(q), R(q^2)$ and $R(q^4)$, which was recorded by Ramanujan in his lost notebook, and establish modular equations involving $R(q), R(q^2), R(q^4), R(q^8)$ and $R(q^{16})$.

Abstract:I use polynomial analogue of the Jacobi triple product identity together with the Eisenstein formula for the Legendre symbol modulo 3 . to prove six identities involving the $q$-binomial coefficients. These identities are then extended to the new infinite hierarchies of q-series identities by means of the special case of Bailey's lemma. Some of the identities of Ramanujan, Slater, McLaughlin and Sills are obtained this way.

Abstract:Recently, Morier-Genoud and Ovsienko introduced a $q$-analog of rational numbers. More precisely, for an irreducible fraction $\frac{r}s>0$, they constructed coprime polynomials ${\mathcal R}_{\frac{r}s}(q), {\mathcal S}_{\frac{r}s}(q) \in {\mathbb Z}[q]$ with ${\mathcal R}_{\frac{r}s}(1)=r, {\mathcal S}_{\frac{r}s}(1)=s$. Their theory has a rich background and many applications. By definition, if $r \equiv r' \pmod{s}$, then ${\mathcal S}_{\frac{r}s}(q)={\mathcal S}_{\frac{r'}s}(q)$. We show that $rr'=-1 \pmod{s}$ implies ${\mathcal S}_{\frac{r}s}(q)={\mathcal S}_{\frac{r'}s}(q)$, and it is conjectured that the converse holds if $s$ is prime (and $r \not \equiv r' \pmod{s}$). We also show that $s$ is a multiple of 3 (resp. 4) if and only if ${\mathcal S}_{\frac{r}s}(\zeta)=0$ for $\zeta=(-1+\sqrt{-3})/2$ (resp. $\zeta=i$). We give applications to the representation theory of quivers of type $A$ and the Jones polynomials of rational links.

Abstract:Recently, Chan and Wang proved numerous congruences satisfied by $$p_{a/b}(n)$$, where $$p_{a/b}(n)$$ denotes the coefficient of $$q^n$$ in the series expansion of $$(q;q)_\infty ^{\frac{a}{b}}$$. Moreover, they presented many conjectures on the congruences for $$p_{a/b}(n)$$. In this paper, we not only prove some conjectures of Chan and Wang, but also discover new congruences for $$p_{a/b}(n)$$ in light of Ramanujan’s modular equations of fifth, seventh and thirteenth orders.

Abstract:In this article, our aim is to extend the research conducted by Kurokawa and Wakayama in 2003, particularly focusing on the $q$-analogue of the Hurwitz zeta function. Our specific emphasis lies in exploring the coefficients in the Laurent series expansion of a $q$-analogue of the Hurwitz zeta function around $s=1$. We establish the closed-form expressions for the first two coefficients in the Laurent series of the $q$-Hurwitz zeta function. Additionally, utilizing the reflection formula for the digamma function and the identity of Bernoulli polynomials, we explore transcendence results related to $\gamma_0(q,x)$ for $q>1$ and $0 < x <1$, where $\gamma_0(q,x)$ is the constant term which appears in the Laurent series expansion of $q$-Hurwitz zeta function around $s=1$.

Abstract:Earlier work introduced a method for obtaining indefinite $q$-integrals of $q$-special functions from the second-order linear $q$-difference equations that define them. In this paper, we reformulate the method in terms of $q$-Riccati equations, which are nonlinear and first order. We derive $q$-integrals using fragments of these Riccati equations, and here only two specific fragment types are examined in detail. The results presented here are for $q$-Airy function, Ramanujan function, Jackson $q$-Bessel functions, discrete $q$-Hermite polynomials, $q$-Laguerre polynomials, Stieltjes-Wigert polynomial, little $q$-Legendre, and big $q$-Legendre polynomials.

Abstract:Using Mellin-Barnes contour integrals, we aim at suggesting a q-analogue (q-extension) of the several variable Aleph-function. Then we present Riemann Liouville fractional q-integral and q-differential formulae for the q-extended several variable Aleph-function. Using the q-analogue of the Leibniz rule for the fractional q-derivative of a product of two basic functions, we also provide a formula for the q-extended several variable Aleph-function, which is expressed in terms of an infinite series of the q-extended several variable Aleph-function. Since the three main formulas presented in this article are so general, they can be reduced to yield a number of identities involving q-extended simpler special functions. In this connection, we choose only one main formula to offer some of its particular instances involving diverse q-extended special functions, for example, the q-extended I-function, the q-extended H-function, and the q-extended Meijer's G-function. The results presented here are hoped and believed to find some applications, in particular, in quantum mechanics.

Abstract:By virtue of Bailey's well-known bilateral 6\psi_6 summation formula and Watson's transformation formula,we extend the four-variable generalization of Ramanujan's reciprocity theorem due to Andrews to a five-variable one. Some relevant new q-series identities including a new proof of Ramanujan's reciprocity theorem and of Watson's quintuple product identity only based on Jackson's transformation are presented.

Abstract:$q$-Supercongruences modulo the fifth and sixth powers of a cyclotomic polynomial are very rare in the literature. In this paper, we establish some $q$-supercongruences modulo the fifth and sixth powers of a cyclotomic polynomial in terms of Jackson's $_8\phi_7$ summation, Watson's $_8\phi_7$ transformation, the creative microscoping method recently introduced by Guo and Zudilin, and the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials. More concretely, we give a $q$-analogue of a nice formula due to Long and Ramakrishna [Adv. Math. 290 (2016), 773--808] and two $q$-supercongruences involving double series.

On an identity of Delange and its application to Cohen-Ramanujan expansions

Abstract:Srinivasa Ramanujan provided Fourier series expansions of certain arithmetical functions in terms of the exponential sum defined by $c_q(n)=\sum\limits_{\substack{{m=1}\\(m,q)=1}}^{q}e^{\frac{2 \pi imn}{q}}$. Later, H. Delange derived the bound $\sum\limits_{q|k}|c_q(n)|\leq n\, 2^{\omega(k)}$ and gave a sufficient condition for such expansions to exist. A. Grytczuk gave an exact value for this bound, and derived a converse implication of the absolute convergence stated by H. Delange. We here show that these results have natural generalizations in terms of the Cohen-Ramanujan sum $c_q^{(s)}(n)$ defined by E. Cohen in [\emph{Duke Mathematical Journal, 16(85-90):2, 1949}]. We derive a bound as well as exact value for $\sum\limits_{q|k}|c_q^{(s)}(n)|$ and provide a sufficient condition for the Cohen-Ramanujan expansions to exist.
