Abstract:In this paper we study an analytic Yeh--Feynman integral and an analytic Yeh--Fourier--Feynman transform associated with Gaussian processes. Fubini theorems involving the generalized analytic Yeh--Feynman integrals are established. The Fubini theorems investigated in this paper are to express the iterated generalized Yeh--Feynman integrals associated with Gaussian processes as a single generalized Yeh--Feynman integral. Using our Fubini theorems, we next examined fundamental relationships (with extended versions) between generalized Yeh--Fourier--Feynman transforms and convolution products (with respect to Gaussian processes) of functionals on Yeh--Wiener space.

Abstract:Cubature on Wiener space [Lyons, T.; Victoir, N.; Proc. R. Soc. Lond. A 8 January 2004 vol. 460 no. 2041 169-198] provides a powerful alternative to Monte Carlo simulation for the integration of certain functionals on Wiener space. More specifically, and in the language of mathematical finance, cubature allows for fast computation of European option prices in generic diffusion models. We give a random walk interpretation of cubature and similar (e.g. the Ninomiya--Victoir) weak approximation schemes. By using rough path analysis, we are able to establish weak convergence for general path-dependent option prices.

Abstract:Given a polarized tropical affine torus, we show that the fibered Lagrangian cobordism group of the corresponding symplectic manifold admits a natural geometric filtration of finite length. This contrasts with results of Sheridan-Smith in dimension four and the present author in higher dimensions, who showed that such group is infinite-dimensional. In the second half of this paper, we construct a Fourier transform between Fukaya categories of dual symplectic tori. We show that, under homological mirror symmetry, it corresponds to the Fourier transform between derived categories of coherent sheaves of dual abelian varieties due to Mukai. We use this to show how our filtration is mirror to the Bloch filtration on Chow groups of abelian varieties, but the results may be of broader interest.

Abstract:In this article, we would like to formulate a relation between the square norm of Whittaker--Fourier coefficients on even special orthogonal and symplectic groups and Petersson inner products along with the critical value of $L$-functions up to constants. We follow the path of Lapid and Mao to reduce it to the conjectural local identity. Our strategy is based on the work of Ginzburg--Rallis--Soudry on automorphic descent. We present the analogue result for odd special orthogonal groups, which is conditional on unfolding Whittaker functions of descents.

Abstract:In the last decade it has become clear that one of the central themes within Gabor analysis (with respect to general time-frequency lattices) is a duality theory for Gabor frames, including the Wexler-Raz biorthogonality condition, the Ron-Shen's duality principle or Janssen's representation of a Gabor frame operator. All these results are closely connected with the so-called {\it Fundamental Identity of Gabor Analysis}, which we derive from an application of Poisson's summation formula for the symplectic Fourier transform. The new aspect of this presentation is the description of range of the validity of this Fundamental Identity of Gabor Analysis using Wiener amalgam spaces and Feichtinger's algebra $S_0(\R^d)$. Our approach is inspired by Rieffel's use of the Fundamental Identity of Gabor Analysis in the study of operator algebras generated by time-frequency shifts along a lattice, which was later independently rediscovered by Tolmieri/Orr, Janssen, and Daubechies et al., and Feichtinger/Kozek at various levels of generality, in the context of Gabor analysis.

Abstract:In this paper, we develop a new method based on the Laplace transform to study the Clifford-Fourier transform. First, the kernel of the Clifford-Fourier transform in the Laplace domain is obtained. When the dimension is even, the inverse Laplace transform may be computed and we obtain the explicit expression for the kernel as a finite sum of Bessel functions. We equally obtain the plane wave decomposition and find new integral representations for the kernel in all dimensions. Finally we define and compute the formal generating function for the even dimensional kernels.

Abstract:The real Fourier-Mukai transform sends a section of a torus fibration to a connection over the total space of the dual torus fibration. By this method, Leung, Yau and Zaslow introduced deformed Hermitian Yang-Mills (dHYM) connections for Kähler manifolds and Lee and Leung introduced deformed Donaldson-Thomas (dDT) connections for $G_2$- and ${\rm Spin}(7)$-manifolds. In this paper, we suggest an alternative definition of a dDT connection for a manifold with a ${\rm Spin}(7)$-structure which seems to be more appropriate by carefully computing the real Fourier-Mukai transform again. We also post some evidences showing that the definition we suggest is compatible with dDT connections for a $G_2$-manifold and dHYM connections of a Calabi-Yau 4-manifold. Another importance of this paper is that it motivates our study in our other papers. That is, based on the computations in this paper, we develop the theories of deformations of dDT connections for a manifold with a ${\rm Spin}(7)$-structure and the "mirror" of the volume functional, which is called the Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) action in physics.

Abstract:Functionals of particles' paths have diverse applications in physics, mathematics, hydrology, economics, and other fields. Under the framework of continuous time random walk (CTRW), the governing equations for the probability density functions (PDFs) of the functionals, including the ones of the paths of stochastic processes of normal diffusion, anomalous diffusion, and even the diffusion with reaction, have been derived. Sometimes, the stochastic processes in physics and chemistry are naturally described by Langevin equations. The Langevin picture has the advantages in studying the dynamics with an external force field and analyzing the effect of noise resulting from a fluctuating environment. We derive the governing equations of the PDFs of the functionals of paths of Langevin system with both space and time dependent force field and arbitrary multiplicative noise; and the backward version is proposed for the system with arbitrary additive noise or multiplicative Gaussian white noise together with a force field. For the newly built equations, their applications of solving the PDFs of the occupation time and area under the trajectory curve are provided, and the results are confirmed by simulations.

Harmonic functions on finitely-connected tori

Abstract:In this paper, we prove a Logarithmic Conjugation Theorem on finitely-connected tori. The theorem states that a harmonic function can be written as the real part of a function whose derivative is analytic and a finite sum of terms involving the logarithm of the modulus of a modified Weierstrass sigma function. We implement the method using arbitrary precision and use the result to find approximate solutions to the Laplace problem and Steklov eigenvalue problem. Using a posteriori estimation, we show that the solution of the Laplace problem on a torus with a few circular holes has error less than $10^{-100}$ using a few hundred degrees of freedom and the Steklov eigenvalues have similar error.

Abstract:In this paper we gather and extend classical results for parabolic cylinder functions, namely solutions of the Weber differential equations, using a systematic approach by Borel-Laplace methods. We revisit the definition and construction of the standard solutions $U,V$ of the Weber differential equation \begin{equation*} w''(z)-\left(\frac{z^2}{4}+a\right)w(z)=0 \end{equation*} and provide representations by Laplace integrals extended to include all values of the complex parameter $a$; we find an integral integral representation for the function $V$; none was previously available. For the Weber equation in the form \begin{equation*} u''(x)+\left(\frac{x^2}{4}-a\right)u(x)=0, \end{equation*} we define a new fundamental system $E_\pm$ which is analytic in $a\in\mathbb{C}$, based on asymptotic behavior; they appropriately extend and modify the classical solutions $E,E^*$ of the real Weber equation to the complex domain. The techniques used are general and we include details and motivations for the approach.

Abstract:We investigate the question: for which functions $f(x_1,...,x_n),~g(x_1,...,x_n)$ the asymptotic expansion of the integral $\int g(x_1,...,x_n) e^{\frac{f(x_1,...,x_n)+x_1y_1+...+x_ny_n}{\hbar}}dx_1...dx_n$ consists only of the first term. We reveal a hidden projective invariance of the problem which establishes its relation with geometry of projective hypersurfaces of the form $\{(1:x_1:...:x_n:f)\}$. We also construct various examples, in particular we prove that Kummer surface in $\mathbb{P}^3$ gives a solution to our problem.

Abstract:The notions of Hausdorff and Fourier dimensions are ubiquitous in harmonic analysis and geometric measure theory. It is known that any hypersurface in $\mathbb{R}^{d+1}$ has Hausdorff dimension $d$. However, the Fourier dimension depends on the finer geometric properties of the hypersurface. For instance, the Fourier dimension of a hyperplane is 0, and the Fourier dimension of a hypersurface with non-vanishing Gaussian curvature is $d$. Recently, Harris has shown that the Euclidean light cone in $\mathbb{R}^{d+1}$ has Fourier dimension $d-1$, which leads one to conjecture that the Fourier dimension of a hypersurface equals the number of non-vanishing principal curvatures. We prove this conjecture for all $d$-dimensional cones and cylinders in $\mathbb{R}^{d+1}$ generated by hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{R}^d$ with non-vanishing Gaussian curvature. In particular, cones and cylinders are not Salem. Our method involves substantial generalizations of Harris's strategy.

Abstract:In this series of papers we aim to provide a mathematically comprehensive framework to the Hamiltonian pictures of quantum field theory in curved spacetimes. Our final goal is to study the kinematics and the dynamics of the theory from the point of differential geometry in infinite <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://dimensions.In" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> this first part we introduce the tools of Gaussian analysis in infinite dimensional spaces of distributions. These spaces will serve the basis to understand the Schrödinger and Holomorphic pictures, over arbitrary Cauchy hypersurfaces, using tools of Hida-Malliavin calculus. Here the Wiener-Ito decomposition theorem provides the QFT particle interpretation. Special emphasis is done in the applications to quantization of these tools in the second part of this paper. We devote a section to introduce Hida test functions as a notion of second quantized test functions. We also analyze of the ingredients of classical field theory modeled as distributions paving the way for quantization procedures that will be analyzed in the second part of this series.
