Abstract:Here, we present two cases of oral pigmentation associated with prolonged chloroquine usage. The initial case involves a 48-year-old diabetic female with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who reported symptoms of "dry mouth and eyes, and itchy skin." She was using glibenclamide, gabapentin, and hydroxychloroquine. During the physical examination, brownish spots were observed on the back and arm, along with a grayish-purple spot on the alveolar ridge and hard palate. The second case involves a 56-year-old female with arthritis and SLE, complaining of "dry mouth and sores." She was using gabapentin and hydroxychloroquine.
