Abstract:By using definition of Golden derivative, corresponding Golden exponential function and Fibonomial coefficients, we introduce generating functions for Bernoulli-Fibonacci polynomials and related numbers. Properties of these polynomials and numbers are studied in parallel with usual Bernoulli counterparts. Fibonacci numbers and Golden ratio are intrinsically involved in formulas obtained.

Abstract:Let B-n(t) be the nth Bernoulli polynomial. We show that B-p-1(a/q) - B-p-1 = q(U-p-1)/2p (mod p), where U-n is a certain linear recurrence of order [q/2] which depends only on a, q and the least positive residue of p (mod q). This can be re-written as a sum of linear recurrence sequences of order less than or equal to phi(q)/2, and so we can recover the classical results where phi(q) less than or equal to 2 (for instance, B-p-1(1/6) - B-p-1 = (3(p)-3)/2p+(2(p)-2)/p (mod p)). Our results provide the first advance on the question of evaluating these polynomials when phi(q) > 2, a problem posed by Emma Lehmer in 1938.

Abstract:The main purpose and motivation of this article is to create a linear transformation on the polynomial ring of rational numbers. A matrix representation of this linear transformation based on standard fundamentals will be given. For some special cases of this matrix, matrix equations including inverse matrices, the Bell polynomials will be given. With the help of these equations, new formulas containing different polynomials, especially the Bernoulli polynomials, will be given. Finally, by applying the Laplace transform to the generating function for the Bernoulli polynomials, we derive some novel formulas involving the Hurwitz zeta function and infinite series.

Abstract:In this paper, we obtain new relationships between the Cauchy polynomials, the Bernoulli polynomials, and the generalized (or weighted) Stirling numbers of both kinds. Furthermore, we derive some identities involving the Cauchy polynomials, the Daehee polynomials, and the hyperharmonic polynomials. In addition, we consider the poly-Cauchy polynomials and the weighted type poly-Bernoulli polynomials and retrieve some of their relationships in the light of our previous findings. Finally, we give various relationships involving the rational values of the Cauchy polynomials and those of the Bernoulli polynomials in terms of $r$-Whitney numbers.

Abstract:Zhao established the following harmonic congruence for prime p > 3:Sigma(i,j,k>0i+j+k=p) 1/ijk equivalent to -2B(p-3) (mod p).In this note, the authors improve it to the following congruence for prime p > 5:Sigma(i,j,k>0i+j+k=p) 1/ijk equivalent to 12B(p-3)/p-3 - 3B(2p-4)/p-2 (mod p(2)).Meanwhile, they also improve a generalization of Zhao's congruence and extend Eisenstein's congruence.

Abstract:This is a collection of definitions, notations and proofs for the Bernoulli numbers $B_n$ appearing in formulas for the sum of integer powers, some of which can be found scattered in the large related historical literature in French, English and German. We provide elementary proofs for the original convention with ${\mathcal B}_1=1/2$ and also for the current convention with $B_1=-1/2$, using only the binomial theorem and the concise Blissard symbolic (umbral) notation.

The aim of this paper is to study probabilistic Bernoulli polynomials of order associated with and probabilistic multi-poly-Bernoulli polynomials associated with . They are respectively probabilistic extensions of Bernoulli polynomials of order and multi-poly-Bernoulli polynomials. We find explicit expressions, certain related identities and some properties for them. In addition, we treat the special cases of Poisson, gamma and Bernoulli random variables.

Abstract:We classify entanglement singularities for various two-mode bosonic systems in terms of catastrophe theory. Employing an abstract phase-space representation, we obtain exact results in limiting cases for the entropy in cusp, butterfly, and two-dimensional catastrophes. We furthermore use numerical results to extract the scaling of the entropy with the non-linearity parameter, and discuss the role of mixing entropies in more complex systems.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to give some new relations, identities, and inequalities for the Bernoulli polynomials and numbers of higher order, the Stirling numbers of the second kind, the Eulerian numbers, and the Catalan numbers. By applying the Laplace transformation to the generating function of the Bernoulli polynomials of higher order, a novel formula for these polynomials is obtained. Integral and series representations for these polynomials and numbers are given. Moreover, the upper bound and the lower bound for the Bernoulli numbers of negative order are given. Some inequalities including the Bernoulli numbers of negative order and the Stirling numbers of the second kind are also given. Finally, appropriate ligaments of the definitions and results introduced here with those in earlier as well as oncoming investigations will be designated.

In this paper we obtain the following identity: [Formula: see text] We explain how we found the series and develop related congruences involving Bernoulli or Euler numbers; for example, it is shown that [Formula: see text] for any prime p > 3, where E0, E1, E2, … are Euler numbers. Motivated by the Amdeberhan–Zeilberger identity [Formula: see text], we also establish the congruence [Formula: see text] for each prime p > 3.

Abstract:We extended the classical Bernoulli and Euler numbers and polynomials to introduce the Laguerre-type Bernoulli and Euler numbers and related fractional polynomials. The case of fractional Bernoulli and Euler polynomials and numbers has already been considered in a previous paper of which this article is a further generalization. Furthermore, we exploited the Laguerre-type fractional exponentials to define a generalized form of the classical Laplace transform. We show some examples of these generalized mathematical entities, which were derived using the computer algebra system Mathematica© (latest v. 14.0).

Abstract:In modern usage the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials follow Euler's approach and are defined using generating functions. We consider the functional equation $f(x)+x^k=f(x+1)$ and show that a solution can be derived from Faulhaber's formula for the sum of powers. We show how these solutions provide a characterization of Bernoulli numbers and related results.

Abstract:We explore a variant of the zeta function interpolating the Bernoulli numbers based on an integral representation suggested by J. Jensen. The Bernoulli function $\operatorname{B}(s, v) = - s\, \zeta(1-s, v)$ can be introduced independently of the zeta function if it is based on a formula first given by Jensen in 1895. We examine the functional equation of $\operatorname{B}(s, v)$ and its representation by the Riemann $\zeta$ and $\xi$ function, and recast classical results of Hadamard, Worpitzky, and Hasse in terms of $\operatorname{B}(s, v).$ The extended Bernoulli function defines the Bernoulli numbers for odd indices basing them on rational numbers studied by Euler in 1735 that underlie the Euler and André numbers. The Euler function is introduced as the difference between values of the Hurwitz-Bernoulli function. The André function and the Seki function are the unsigned versions of the extended Euler resp. Bernoulli function.
