Error Analysis and Teaching Strategies of Korean Students' Acquisition of“You”Sentences

Abstract:The"you"sentence is one of the special sentence patterns in modern Chinese language with plentiful meanings as well as with a high frequency of use.The structure is not only considered one of the important language points,but also a difficult point for foreign students.In the process of learning it,Korean students are likely to make such mistakes as missing some elements in the sentence,adding unnecessary items,using wrong word to substitute"you"or vice versa,making improper order sentences and mixing different patterns together as well.The research shows that the above errors result from the Korean students' lack of Chinese language knowledge,from the influences of their mother tongue,from their overgeneralization of the target language knowledge and from their deliberate avoidance of using"you"sentence pattern as well.Therefore,when teaching"you"sentence,teachers may take into consideration the strategies of using constructive analysis to teach by chunks;implementing graded teaching to gain gradual progress;using contrastive method to gain the differences between the languages as well as summarizing error types to strengthen practices.Meanwhile,teachers need to have the ability of reflection and summarizing so as to choose and plan an easily understandable way of teaching to arouse the students' interests in learning and using the"you"sentence.
