Abstract:Within the framework of f ( Q )-gravity, where Q is the non-metricity scalar factor that drives the gravitational interaction, we have examined the behavior and nature of the universe in this research by studying the non-static planar symmetric space-time. We assumed the linear model of f ( Q )-gravity as and metric potential relations as for solving the field equations. After getting a complete solution of the field equations, the values of model parameters have been estimated by performing a chi-square test using observational Hubble datasets with 57 data-points. We have discussed the physical behavior of the universe in our model through physical parameters like the energy density, pressure, equation of state parameter and skewness parameter. Also, we have examined the kinematic variables of the universe in our model such as Hubble parameter, deceleration parameter, and jerk parameter. In our model, the deceleration parameter q ( z ) indicates the universe's phase change from deceleration to acceleration. Moreover, the current value of the deceleration parameter is with transition redshift value , this type of scenario is strongly aligned with standard CDM model. We have found the values of which is in good agreement with the plank measurement 2018. In addition, we analyzed the geometrical diagnostics such as Statefinder diagnostic and diagnostic to identify the nature of the dark energy model. Also, we analyzed the stability of the universe in our model through the squared speed of sound test. Ultimately, our model's cosmos is expanding, going through an acceleration phase, and acting in a manner consistent with a quintessential dark energy concept.
