Because of the limited space in tunnels and small seismic offset aperture, only a few reflective waves from the area ahead of tunnels can be recorded inside of the tunnels, which poses a great challenge for seismic forward-prospecting in tunnels. To better record the reflective seismic signals, we design an observation system in which the sources and receivers are placed on both sidewalls and the tunnel face. Moreover, all receivers will only record the signal generated by the sources on the same sidewalls or tunnel face. Thus, the received seismic data can be divided into three parts. In order to better handle the seismic data in tunnels, we adjust the first component of our existing velocity inversion network on ground seismic data named SeisInvNet and propose a modified version for Tunnel (SeisInvNet-Tunnel). Considering that all three parts of the observation data are the reflection of the same velocity model in front of the tunnel, in our network we stack all the generated feature maps to reconstruct the velocity model. From experiments, our network achieves satisfactory results, which proves the effectiveness of proposed SeisInvNet-Tunnel and extendibility of our previous SeisInvNet.
