Abstract:This artiele tries to find out the tifferences by comparison between China's art of lettering of the time and the seal cutting in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in China from the two aspects of artistie subject and creatine ranks, and then from the same abjeet of expression (Chinese characters), from the same, technique of expression (cutting cutting), eraws experience and lessons from the art of seal cutting (especially the seals of scholars in the ming and Qing Dynasties) which was similarly deeplhy rooted in China and closely connected with tradition, so as to make a research on its location and orientation and promote sound development of the art of lettering of the time.
