Abstract:Modem enterprises consist of complex business systems. These systems need to be integrated to support enterprises operation. The SOA and ESB become an important enterprise integration architecture style for designing and implementing integration systems. But there are some limitations of today's ESB framework, such as only syntactic description of service interface, inability to perform semantic mediation and incapable process knowledge management. Therefore developers need deep and intimate knowledge to develop integration systems. We introduce an ontology-based semantic annotation approach to enrich and reconcile semantics of data, services and process models on ESB that enables data, service and process models interoperability on the semantic level through common domain ontologies.

Abstract:Recently, SOA plays a more and more important role in software research and software development. On the basis of the research findings on SOA, this paper presents an innovative model for applying SOA: Multi-layer Structure For Dynamic Service Integration (MSFDSI). The paper expatiates on the organization of MSFDSI, on the basis of typical organization of SOA, MSFDSI adds a authorized institution and a service integration & analysis adapter to achieve the service authorization, service analysis and dynamic service integration. The paper also presents the hierarchy of MSFDSI, analyzes its service, proposes innovative concepts of coordination service and procedural service which traditional SOA models never contain, gives the Meta-model for service contracts and describes the main process of MSFDSI. Moreover, this paper gives a real case study of applying this model in a project of "Maritime and shipping integrated system of Yunnan Province". The case study shows that MSFDSI separates the business logic and the specific implementation technology, achieves the dynamic service integration successfully, improves the performance of system and provides a new and effective solution for applying SOA.

Abstract:With the progressive development of E-business, it takes on much complexity of logic rules, and has deep relativity with diverse technologies. Thereby, E-business is hard and urgent-solving research topic. To narrow the gaps between heterogeneous systems, the business subject generally has to choose suitable architecture to integrate different involved objects into an interactive entity. In recent years, Peer-to-Peep (P2P) technologies have been attracted much attention in commerce domains because the p2p environment is constructed on a decentralized, network-based framework to improve Internet performance. Business-to-Business (B2B) transaction means the direct exchange of messages between enterprises. Obviously, this requirement can be satisfied by P2P architecture. In this paper, we propose a SEAP (Super web service bAsed P2P) framework Oriented to B2B. In the proposed framework, web service is used to eliminate the discrepancy (such as: protocols etc). This study adopts an effective manner to integrate both p2p and web service, at the same time; it can better cater for the need of B2B.

Abstract:SOA has been the effective technical solution to enterprise application integration and business process rebuilding. The paper presents a reference implementation scheme of Commercial Bank Card System based on SOA. In requirement tier, the implementation plan first establishes the full concept model and logical model of Commercial Bank Card System from business request(business use case-business step-atomic business) to system request (system use case-system step-atomic component), then in semantics tier, we give out full description of the model through the combination of OWL and BPEL. At last a SOA's three-tier framework of "requirement-semantics-service" has been built for the Commercial Band Card System.

Abstract:To avoid the isolation between the external and the internal information of enterprise information systems,a four-layer integrated framework is proposed on the basis of integrating Web2.0 and the service-oriented architecture (SOA), which contains the data layer,the service layer,the presentation layer and the collaboration layer.The presentation layer plays the key role,converging the external information from the collaboration layer to the inside of information system (IS),and diffusing the internal information from the service layer to public users.This framework can also illustrate how users contribute to producing new services,and how web services are integrated to collaborate with public users.

Abstract:In recent years, enterprises of different sizes are faced with the challenges of efficiently integrating their business functions and associated systems. With the advent of service-oriented architecture (SOA), these enterprises are exploring the development of business integration solutions based on SOA. A service is defined as a particular business or IT function that is accessible by independent users and systems through a standardized interface. With their very nature, the results of using a business or IT service can be non-deterministic, i.e., one can't predict ahead of time the outcomes of invoking a business or IT service. For instance, a business service might provide a result short of the original expectation, which would require the use of another business service to compensate for the shortfalls. In this paper, we are going to propose a framework for service-oriented business integration under uncertainties. In this framework, we describe how to achieve better business and IT integration results by composing a set of appropriate business and IT services through a service composition model with uncertainties. The framework furthermore provides a structure of how the service composition model with uncertainties can be established and maintained

Abstract:The trends of design and development of information systems have undergone a variety of ongoing phases and stages. These variations have been evolved due to brisk changes in user requirements and business needs. To meet these requirements and needs, a flexible and agile business solution was required to come up with the latest business trends and styles. Another obstacle in agility of information systems was typically different treatment of same diseases of two patients: business processes and information services. After the emergence of information technology, the business processes and information systems have become counterparts. But these two business halves have been treated under totally different standards. There is need to streamline the boundaries of these both pillars that are equally sharing information system's burdens and liabilities. In last decade, the object orientation has evolved into one of the major solutions for modern business needs and now, SOA is the solution to shift business on ranks of electronic platform. BPM is another modern business solution that assists to regularize optimization of business processes. This paper discusses how object orientation can be conformed to incorporate or embed SOA in BPM for improved information systems.

Abstract:In the process of enterprise informatization, mass of legacy systems (such as database and applications) need integration, different application systems (PDM, ERP, SCM, CRM) need interaction and business between enterprises demand close cooperation. Took enterprise business cooperation as object, aimed at heterogeneous system integration, this paper proposed a framework for business cooperation-oriented heterogeneous system integration, and analyzed key technologies related to the framework, such as ontology modeling, ontology mapping, and semantic interoperation mechanism. Finally, the realization of the business cooperation framework was discussed. As a proof of concept, a prototypical platform based on this framework was developed, and the operating principle of the platform was analyzed. The proposed scheme has great theoretical significance which provides a new architecture and approach for heterogeneous system integration on business cooperation.

Abstract:With the advancement of information technology and business transformation, an enterprise has to be adaptive to expand its infrastructure and collaborate with its internal and external business processes to make more profits from its value chain. As an enabling technology, Web services provide a standard means to allow heterogenous applications to communicate with each other using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). The standard interface description language and communication mechanism of Web services are the keys to build a modularized and adaptive e-business infrastructure that can adjust to the changing environments. In this chapter, we will introduce how to use Web services and Grid services to build adaptive e-business infrastructure for intelligent enterprise. Specifically, we will introduce a conceptual architecture of building adaptive e-business infrastructure using Web services. Then we will present an overview of Web services creation and invocation, federated Web services discovery and Web services flow composition. After that, a concept of universal Grid service is introduced for enabling Open Grid Services Architecture to support business process integration and management. At the end of this chapter, we will conclude by introducing our vision on the future adaptive e-business infrastructure for intelligent enterprise.

Abstract:This paper presents a Sensing-as-a-Service run-time Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), called 3SOA, for the development of Internet of Things (IoT) applications. 3SOA aims to allow interoperability among various IoT platforms and support service-oriented modelling at high levels of abstraction where fundamental SOA theories and techniques are fully integrated into a practical software engineering approach. 3SOA abstracts the dependencies of the middleware programming model from the application logic. This abstraction allows the development efforts to focus on writing the application logic independently from hardware platforms, middleware, and languages in which applications are programmed. To achieve this result, IoT objects are treated as independent entities that may interact with each other using a well-defined message exchange sequence. Each object is defined by the services it provides and the coordination protocol it supports. Objects are then able to coordinate their resources to address the global objectives of the system. To practically validate our proposals, we demonstrate an intelligent transportation system and data privacy functional prototypes as proof of concepts. The use cases show that 3SOA and the presented abstraction language allow the amalgamation of macroprogramming and node-centric programming to develop real-time and efficient applications over IoT.

Abstract:To flexibly integrate various systems at different stages and improve the openness and reusability of information in remote collaborative product development, a framework of integrated product modeling based on Web Services is presented The integrated model consists of a master model and application models that combine static and dynamic information supporting whole product lifecycle. The master model contains the core and shared information. The application model relating to specific manufacture domain is built up by extracting the master model and complementing domain information. The flexible integration of heterogeneous systems is ensured by the use of Web Services. The openness and expansibility are preserved by combining STEP and XML for information representation and exchange. The high reusability of product information is achieved by using a service-oriented multi-granularity schema The information consistency among the master model and application models is maintained through a coordinated-protocol for rapidly acquiring alteration and reacting to it.

Abstract:Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) and Business Process Modeling (BPM) have become foundation for many practical business applications, and received more and more attention from both industry and research community. The purpose of BPM is to develop powerful yet intuitive frameworks for specifying real world business processes. The combination of SOC and BPM produce new challenge on how to model business processes from service view in order to bridge the gap between business and IT. This paper presents a Human-Process/Artifact framework for formalizing business processes. In this framework, a business process is modeled as interactions among a set of human processes and a set of (business) artifacts, as well as some repositories serving as storages and archives. Both artifacts and human processes can be seen as services. We give rigorous definitions for these concepts and their well-formedness conditions, and use an example to illustrate the usefulness of the model. Additionally, we give a formal semantics for the model.

Abstract:An ontology-based framework of B2B integration is presented in this paper. The backbone of the framework is a central Integration Intermediary, which provides common ontology modules for registered companies to reuse. Due to the reusing, the developing of a company-specific ontology is simplified and the similarity between different ontologies is improved. The mapping between different companies' ontologies is not direct. Mapping Service in the Intermediary acts as a mediator and some mapping relations can be deduced according to the semantic relations of concepts.

Abstract:SOA (Service-oriented architecture) Solution Model involves SOA associated reference architecture, e-commerce patterns, methodologies and best practices ranging from the beginning to the end of a complete SOA project. A new Solution Model is presented. Service is the kernel and process is the breakthrough point of business innovation in this model. Abstract:Driven by the requirement of environment-adaptable business, Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) emerges with promising goals such as agility, flexibility, reusability and efficiency. Before reaching the goals, however, numerous and various challenges are still obstructing the success of SOA implementation. To efficiently deal with existing challenges, we can use an interdisciplinary approach to explore technology independent strategies as valuable and necessary supplements to technical concerns when implementing SOA. Through presenting an organizational view to comprehend SOA and treating SOA implementations as organizational activities, this paper employs useful knowledge in the organization theory area to inspire the research into technology independent strategies of SOA implementation. As a result, four preliminary strategies that can be applied to human organizations are identified to support building SOA systems. Furthermore, the interdisciplinary approach to investigating the success of SOA implementation is revealed, which encourages interdisciplinary research across service-oriented computing and organization theory.
