Abstract:Aiming at investigating the working mechanism of electrostatic precipitator (ESP) in industrial scenarios and improving its 2.5-μm Particulate Matter (PM2.5) collection performance, a theoretical model with fluid-mechanics-electric–magnetic coupling was established. Based on this model in ESP, the effect mechanism of temperature field on the other fields was analyzed. The PM2.5 collection performance is numerically simulated by using FLUENT software, which can reduce experimental costs and help to optimize the design of ESP. The temperature and magnetic field effects at different flue gas velocities are analyzed based on the simulation results. The results indicate that the PM2.5 collection efficiency tends to decrease non-linearly as both flue gas velocity and temperature increase. Additionally, the magnetic field can effectively enhance the PM2.5 dust removal efficiency by over 4.0% in ESP, and the enhancement effect can reach 5.6% at higher temperatures. The corresponding results can serve as a valuable reference for the innovative design of ESP.
