Abstract:Disinterestedness is the symbol of modern Western aesthetics.But we find a similar theory in traditional Chinese aesthetics,which is summarized under the concept of aesthetic mind advocated by Ye Lang and others.Therefore,the modernization of Chinese aesthetics is different from its Western counterpart.The latter is a transition from heteronomous aesthetics to autonomous aesthetics,while the former is one from the autonomous to the heteronomous.However,due to the strong influence by Western modernity during the modernization processes in China,the modernization of Chinese aesthetics is quite complicated:On the one hand,we can find its development to the heteronomous,while on the other hand,its return to the autonomous.Nowadays modern Western autonomous aesthetics and its traditional Chinese counterpart are echoing each other over a long distance.A dialogue between modern Chinese heteronomous aesthetics and its post-modern Western counterpart is expected.

Abstract:As a famous modern female writer in the 20th century, Xiao Hong completed 11 collections of works with nearly one million words in just nine years. These creations of hers are divided into two stages: the mainland period and the Hong Kong period, and the Hong Kong period is the mature period and peak period of Xiao Hong's creation, which established her stable position in the literary world. In recent years, with the renaissance of Northeast literature, Xiao Hong's research has gradually increased, but there has not been an overall inspection of Hong Kong's works from the perspective of existentialism. In order to make up for this vacancy, the author chooses the two novellas Tales of Hulan River and Ma Bo'le's Second Life and the two short stories Spring in a Small Town and The Story of Red Glass written during the Hong Kong period as the research objects of this paper. Complying with the inner and outer line principles of literary appreciation put forward by the modern literary critic Liang Zongdai, and based on the theory of Paul Tillich, a representative of American existentialism, the four works are reinterpreted as a whole.

Abstract:Xiao Hong is one of the four most talented women of the Republic of China in the modern era, and is known as “the goddess of literature” of the 1930s. Xiao Hong can be said to be a female writer with a unique artistic style at that time. In terms of literary creation, her works contain a mixture of sad and happy emotional tone as well as a rigid and soft language style. Xiao Hong’s writing is fresh and natural because she believed in beauty even though she was traumatized. Xiao Hong’s works are mostly self-referential, and her way of writing is unique in that she does not write in the usual way of thinking, but describes everything she is familiar with in an extremely natural and unfamiliar language. She refuses to be mediocre and always stands alone. With her profound understanding of world affairs, she has created a moving flower in the mud of the poor feudal north.

Abstract:The aesthetic discussion,which started during the period of Baihua in 1956,was the construction of the theoretical connotation in the fields of Chinese contemporary theoretical criticism and aesthetic thoughts.Based in a critical context of political tendency,the construction launched a confrontation of critical discourse.In such a context,a special theoretical logic was produced.For example,beauty was either subjective or objective,or of objective social nature.These aesthetic point of views were not merely the concept that external politics provided,but the theoretical logic formed through the mutual reliance in the critical context.Its political nature was self-evident,but its theoretical logic nature was of other significance.

Abstract:Through comparisons between traditional Chinese and Western aesthetics, this article tries to explain the worldwide significance of Chinese aesthetic tradition in the twenty-first century. In contrast to cognitive-rational spirit and the tendency to distinguish the subjectives and objectives of traditional Western aesthetics, traditional Chinese aesthetics shows a distinctive practical-emotional spirit and a tendency to harmoniously unite human beings with nature, and believes that beauty is, first and foremost, a free state or way ( Dao ) of human life; the most important thing for human beings is how to make their own lives and existence beautiful. Abstract:Since the middle of the Ming Dynasty, a romantic trend of thought has been aroused in the field of literature and art, baptized by Yangming Wang's mind study, the self-centered aesthetic trend advocated by scholars and officials, affirmed the natural emotions of individuals, publicized the individuality, and constructed the artistic creation principles and evaluation system with self-centered. This aesthetic ideological trend develops a secular movement based on the affirmation of the natural needs of people, which can be summarized as "transforming elegance into vulgarity", advocates sexual spirit, attaches importance to individual and freedom, and has the atmosphere of ideological liberation. Hongdao Yuan's one of the representatives of this ideological movement. This paper explores Hongdao Yuan's modernity in art through the study of his aesthetic thoughts.

Abstract:The Chinese people lay stress on intuition and the method of imaginative mind that is more irrational, while the thought popularized by political power is rational. The irrational factor in this rational thought had been growing daily in the process of introspection under the influence of Buddhism. Till the middle and later period of Ming Dynasty, when economy was developed, daily life of food and clothe were emphasized, and the social orientation was utilitarian, the threshold of ration was broken through. Geng Dingxiang attacked Li Zhi, and led a wholesome change in value, theory of human nature, ethics and aesthetics. The Chinese thought of humanity and aesthetics has completed a historical transition from the rational to the irrational. This process is identified by the conception of self-life, which is transformed from family ties to non-family ties, the conception of equality, which is transformed from hierarchy to non-authority, the conception of humanistic private interest, which is transformed from humanistic justice to non-justice, the conception of sexual desire ontology, which is transformed from ethical ontology to non-ethical ontology, a conception of the beauty of frankness and directness, which is transformed from the beauty of mediocrity to non-mediocrity.

Abstract:The aesthetics of the late Ming Dynasty was developed in the age when the Chinese feudalistic system slowly fell into decay and the civil society gradually rose up.For the aesthetic spirit,it at that time emphasized to "dissolve elegance into vulgarity",which had three different aspects.Firstly,when came to the controversy between the "unofficial" and the "orthodox" history of the Aesthetics of novels,it valued the cultural significance of the "unofficial" anecdotes,not only accentuating its popular entertaining appeal,but also stressing its advantage of emotional enlightenment over the "orthodoxy".Secondly,in the field of drama and music,universal emotion theory represented by Tang Xianzu promoted the composition and spread of the popular literature and art whose main subject was "emotion",and advanced the movement of "dissolving elegance into vulgarity",making the "elegant/court/ceremonial music" as a form of the "vulgar/popular music".Thirdly,concerning aesthetics in architecture,it advocated the standard of the"beauty lying in the long length",as well as the aesthetic taste of the attention and appreciation to the nonegos.Meanwhile,it attached importance to the feelings and vibrations towards the scenery and the outside environment.

Abstract:Based on theories and methods of eco-aesthetics,the essay focuses on the spatial features in gardens with Shanghai style. Through data collecting,spatial cognizing,and semantic representing,it takes Qiuxia Pu as an example and analyses the essence and logic relation of the spatial configuration,structures,and culture within it,such as smallness,endless iteration and coupled action between nature and buildings.Editable physical networks and a representational cultural theme also make contributions for symbiosis relationship between dwellers and natural environments in the garden.Partially related to the philosophic idea of biophilia in Ⅰ Ching,these spatial strategies might provide alternative approaches to poetic human habitats for Shanghainese.

Abstract:Zhu Guangqian is a Chinese scholar who dedicated his life to aesthetics. He has the creative achievements in aesthetic psychology, philosophy of art, and history of aesthetics, etc.A kernel issue covering these achievements is, in facing with the Western studies, the way of both “following” and “developing”. Zhu’s approach means to “following”, i.e., fully understanding the principles, which is nearly “saying for it” and excluding creation. The “developing” means creation, based on the preceding philosophers, and being far-sighted, deepening and meticulous, which is like “to say one’s own words”. In his Psychology in Tragedy and Psychology in Literary Art, some of Zhu’s important aesthetic categories, such as beauty, sublime, psychological distance, and theory of intuition, identified his attitude.

Abstract:As a model of the combination of nostalgia and creative products, ethnic cultural heritage carry the function of shaping and spreading geo-culture. Its unique geo-cultural context, as a link, shows the historical inheritance of local culture. The deep deconstruction of its emotional identity helps to strengthen this identity and stimulate more cultural and creative designs with national and local characteristics. While culture prospers, the local cultural and creative economy is strengthened and cultural confidence and national self-confidence are further enhanced. Based on the New Year paintings of Wuqiang in Hebei, which have a strong folk vernacular and geo-cultural character in northern China, in the process of using the reconstructed pattern elements for clothing design, 156 questionnaires were collected through questionnaire interviews and fsQCA was used to analyze the emotional identity of products with high geo-cultural recognition. The study finds that while the injection of regional culture plays a role in the development of products, people's emotional identification with vernacular cultural and creative products actually depends on a combination of causal paths, with beauty and elegance more important than place and humanity as commonly believed to reflect geographic cultural identity. fsQCA was used to analyze the emotional identity of products with high geo-cultural recognition. And understand the emotional components of vernacular cultural products and how emotional factors influence people's identities.
