Abstract:Due to the differences of economic development and social system, financing theory and practice of SMEs show significant diversity in different countries and regions. Based on elementary theory of financial structure, this article gives some empirical comparative analysis of the factors affecting the financial structure of listed and non-listed SMEs in China and finds that factors influencing financing structure of SMEs are multiform in different capital markets and regions. Finally some policy recommendations are given on the financing support to SMEs.

Abstract:China's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have contributed to growth and created millions of jobs. However, SMEs are frequently perceived as facing financing difficulties. This paper illustrates that (1) financing difficulties are more acute in smaller cities; (2) spreads between SMEs and large enterprises appear higher in part due to implicit fees and charges by banks and higher credit risks for SMEs; and (3) greater financial penetration in small cities could reduce the financing cost. These findings could help formulate policies to support SME financing. Strengthening financial inclusion with safeguards, particularly in small cities, could bring significant gains. Measures to build a sound financial infrastructure would improve credit to SMEs, including unified credit registry and extending eligible collaterals. Broadening sources of finance by taking advantage of technologyâ€”provided with adequate supervisionâ€”and addressing implicit guarantees could help SME financing.

Abstract:Small and medium-sized enterprises have flexible management methods and fewer restrictions on establishment, which play a key role in increasing employment ,maintaining social harmony and stability, and promoting economic development and technological innovation. However, Small and medium-sized enterprises have more problems in financing because of the small scale of operation, the imperfect internal management system and low transparency of financial information, for example, there are fewer ways to raise funds. These problems have seriously hindered the development of enterprises. How to solve the financing dilemma and promote the development of enterprises has become a key issue of national concern and a hot topic discussed in the 2019 sessions. This paper combines the financing status of the development of Small and medium-sized enterprises in China, analyzes the reasons for the difficulty of financing from the aspects of internal management system and external credit environment, and provides some suggestions around the enterprises, banks and government.

Abstract:The reform and opening-up policy in China has resulted in a good environment for the devel- opment of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially the burgeoning SMEs in the private sector. SMEs have been playing an important role in China's economic reform and development and, to some extent, have become a growth engine in the Chinese economy. However, SMEs are still facing many financial diffi- culties. Thus, in the present paper, the current financial status and financial environments of SMEs in China are studied and compared with several of the western countries, and a capital-cycle-based capital utilization pattern is proposed, that is, to increase government support to control the capital investment of the enterprise, take advantage of the core competencies to ensure the full capital utilization of the enterprise, screen life cycle of the enterprise to reasonably withdraw the capital. Meanwhile, some related cases are illustrated. In the end, some concluding remarks are drawn and some suggestions are proposed. Abstract:Small and medium-sized enterprises greatly promote the economic progress and growth of national tax revenue as well as realize the escalation of career opportunities. However, as these enterprises are relatively small scale and have low capacity to face and resist risks in addition to China’s flawed financial credit system, there are many difficulties faced by these enterprises in terms of financing to achieve their own development and progress. Recently, owing to the progress of internet information, especially the expansion of its application in the financial field, it has opened up a way for handling the financing difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises. According to the specific financing situation of small and medium-sized enterprises in China, this study analyzes the impact of internet finance on the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises in China and formulates strategies to effectively deal with the financing difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises in China, thus promoting the sustainable progress of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Abstract:SMES are an important part of China's market economy. SMES can not only increase employment and stabilize prices, but also play an important role in promoting economic growth and maintaining balance of payments. Abstract:This paper investigates the effects of formal and informal financing on the innovation‐generating activities of small‐ and medium‐scale enterprises (SMEs) in China. While formal finance mainly includes loans from banks, informal finance includes loans obtained outside the banking system—loans based on personal relationships, loans from online loan providers, and other informal institutions. Our assessment of SMEs' innovation encompasses both the input and output of innovative activities as well as their involvement in the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiatives. Substantial empirical evidence suggests that formal and informal finance propel SMEs to innovate. These findings are robust to alternative measures of innovation and formal and informal finance. To address endogeneity concerns related to formal financing, we utilize two instrumental variables: firms' capacity to provide collateral and governmental support in securing bank loans. Additionally, we demonstrate that increased investment in research and development (R&D) serves as a pathway through which financing influences and enhances SMEs' innovation pursuits.

Abstract:As an important force in promoting economic and social development, small and medium-sized enterprises play a crucial role in enhancing China’s economic strength, creating employment opportunities, and promoting industrial structural transformation. However, due to their inherent weaknesses, small and medium-sized enterprises often face difficulties in financing within the traditional financial service system. This makes it difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises to inject vitality into the development of the market economy by expanding their financing scale. Since 2013, China has vigorously developed inclusive finance and extended the services of traditional financial institutions to small and medium-sized enterprises, providing policy guidance, resource support, and technical support to alleviate the financing difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises. Based on this, this article focuses on the current financing problems faced by small and medium-sized enterprises and specifically elaborates on how to lower the financing threshold for small and medium-sized enterprises and broaden their financing channels through inclusive finance, in order to promote the development of inclusive finance and a virtuous cycle of financing for small and medium-sized enterprises.
