Influential Factors of Coronary Slow Flow Phenomenon:A Meta-analysis Based on Case-Control Study

Abstract:Objective To study the influential factors of coronary slow flow phenomenon (CSFP), and provide the evidence and reference for prevention and treatment of coronary slow flow. Methods The case control studies on CSFP published in China and other countries were collected from 2000 to 2014, and given comprehensive reviews by using Meta-analysis software. Results There were totally 24 documents included involving 1385 CSFP cases and 1558 control cases. The results of Meta-analysis showed that smoking increased CSFP risk by 1.87 times (OR=1.87, 95%CI:1.56~2.24, P<0.00001), and hypertension increased CSFP risk by 1.24 times (OR=1.24, 95%CI:1.03~1.48, P=0.02). The differences between CSFP cases and control cases in LDL (MD=0.12, 95%CI: 0.04~0.19, P=0.003), HDL (MD=-0.06, 95%CI: -0.09~0.02, P=0.002), uric acid (MD=34.46, 95%CI:18.99~49.93, P<0.0001), ET-1 (MD=1.18, 95%CI:0.97~1.38, P<0.0001), BMI (MD=1.24, 95%CI:0.62~1.86, P<0.0001), TG (MD=0.14, 95%CI:0.04~0.23, P=0.003), hs-CRP (MD=0.83, 95%CI:0.45~1.21, P<0.0001), Hcy (MD=4.27, 95%CI:3.06~5.48, P<0.00001), hemoglobin level (MD=0.38, 95%CI:0.09~0.67, P=0.01) and WBC level (MD=0.34, 95%CI:0.18~0.50, P<0.0001) had statistical significance. The incidence of diabetes (OR=1.24, 95%CI:0.97~1.58, P=0.09) and platelet (MD=3.26, 95%CI:-3.97~10.48, P=0.38) had no significant difference between 2 groups. Conclusion The current evidence suggests that smoking, hypertension, and high BMI, uric acid, TG, LDL, ET-1, hs-CRP, Hcy, hemoglobin level and WBC level may be risk factors of CSFP, and high HDL may be protective factor. The conclusion requires further prospective studies with high-quality for validation.
