Abstract:Metal-organic framework material is a porous crystalline material, which has a large specific surface area and porosity, metal-organic framework material structure synthesis and modification methods are abundant, so there are prospects for application in a number of aspects such as hydrogen evolution, oxygen evolution, redox, and so on. In this experiment, it was proposed that the electrocatalytic performance could be improved by reducing the organic ligand 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione to 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione alcohol, and then introducing metal particles to modify the organic ligand to improve the electrocatalytic performance, and molecular-scale catalysts were successfully prepared. The catalyst provides a pair of electrons through the organic ligand metal ions provide empty orbitals to form coordination bonds, which enhances the electron transfer from the ligand to the metal ions, thus optimizing the electronic structure of the catalytically active centers in the catalyst molecule, and so leads to an improvement in the electrocatalytic performance of the catalyst. The catalyst has a low overpotential (230 mV) for OER at 10 mA cm −2 , a high half-wave potential of 0.675 V for ORR, and the assembled cell shows a specific capacity of (391 mAh g −1 ) for the molecular-scale catalyst.
