Abstract:The impact of immunosuppression on prognosis of carbapenem-resistant organism (CRO) bloodstream infection (BSI) remains unclear. The aim of this study was to clarify the relationship between immunosuppression and mortality of CRO-BSI and to identify the risk factors associated with mortality in immunosuppressed patients.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The paper attempts to address the following issues: **Research Background**: Carbapenem-resistant organisms (CRO) infections are associated with high mortality rates and substantial healthcare costs. Immunosuppressed patients, due to their susceptibility, are a particularly concerning group. Although many studies have shown a high incidence of multidrug-resistant pathogen infections in immunosuppressed individuals, the impact of immunosuppression on the prognosis of CRO bloodstream infections (BSI) and the specific factors influencing mortality in immunosuppressed patients remain unclear. **Research Objectives**: 1. **Describe Characteristics and Outcomes**: Compare the clinical characteristics and outcomes of immunosuppressed patients with those of immunocompetent patients. 2. **Identify Independent Risk Factors**: Determine whether immunosuppression is an independent risk factor for mortality in CRO bloodstream infections (BSI). 3. **Analyze Predictors**: Analyze the predictors influencing mortality in immunosuppressed patients. Through these research objectives, the authors aim to provide clinicians with more accurate guidance for better management and treatment of CRO bloodstream infection patients, especially those who are immunosuppressed.
