Abstract:In this note, we obtain a full characterization of radial Carleson measures for the Hilbert-Hardy space on tube domains over symmetric cones. For large derivatives, we also obtain a full characterization of the measures for which the corresponding embedding operator is continuous. Restricting to the case of light cones of dimension three, we prove that by freezing one or two variables, the problem of embedding derivatives of the Hilbert-Hardy space into Lebesgue spaces reduces to the characterization of Carleson measures for Hilbert-Bergman spaces of the upper-half plane or the product of two upper-half planes.

Abstract:We prove nontangential asymptotic limits of the Bergman kernel on the diagonal, and the Bergman metric and its holomorphic sectional curvature at exponentially flat infinite type boundary points of smooth bounded pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb{C}^{n+1}$, $n\in\mathbb{N}$. We first show that these objects satisfy appropriate localizations and then use the method of scaling to complete the proof.

It is required to find the least upper bound for a special form functional over . This problem is a generalization of the Turán problem for functions with support in a ball. A general solution to this problem for is obtained. As a consequence, new sharp inequalities are obtained for derivatives of entire functions of exponential spherical type.

Abstract:We establish local asymptotic estimates of partial Bergman kernels on closed, $S^1$-symmetric Kähler manifolds. The main result concerns the scaling asymptotics of partial Bergman kernels at generic off-diagonal points in which they are not negligible. The case of the two-dimensional sphere is discussed in detail.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce the structure of a new extended cone b-metric-like space over a Banach algebra. In this generalized space, we define the notion of generalized Reich-type mappings and prove a fixed point result. We also prove a fixed point result using multivalued contraction and provide some of its consequences. Finally, we furnish with applications to establish the validity of our results.

Abstract:Let $k$ be a discretely valued non-Archimedean field. We give an explicit description of analytic functions whose norm is bounded by a given real number $r$ on tubes of reduced $k$-analytic spaces associated to special formal schemes (those include $k$-affinoid spaces as well as open polydiscs). As an application we study the connectedness of these tubes. This generalizes (in the discretely valued case) a result of Siegfried Bosch. We use as a main tool a result of A.J. de Jong relating formal and analytic functions on special formal schemes and a generalization of de Jong's result which is proved in the joint appendix with Christian Kappen.

Abstract:We present a method of obtaining a lower bound estimate of the curvatures of the Bergman metric without using the regularity of the kernel function on the boundary. As an application, we prove the existence of an uniform lower bound of the bisectional curvatures of the Bergman metric of a smooth bounded pseudoconvex domain near the boundary with constant Levi rank.

Abstract:Let $\Gamma \subset \mathbb C$ be a curve of class $C(2,\alpha)$. For $z_{0}$ in the unbounded component of ${\mathbb C}\setminus \Gamma$, and for $n=1,2,...$, let $\nu_n$ be a probability measure with supp$(\nu_{n})\subset \Gamma$ which minimizes the Bergman function $B_{n}(\nu,z):=\sum_{k=0}^{n}|q_{k}^{\nu}(z)|^{2}$ at $z_{0}$ among all probability measures $\nu$ on $\Gamma$ (here, $\{q_{0}^{\nu},\ldots,q_{n}^{\nu}\}$ are an orthonormal basis in $L^2(\nu)$ for the holomorphic polynomials of degree at most $n$). We show that $\{\nu_{n}\}_n$ tends weak-* to $\hat\delta_{z_{0}}$, the balayage of the point mass at $z_0$ onto $\Gamma$, by relating this to an optimization problem for probability measures on the unit circle. Our proof makes use of estimates for Faber polynomials associated to $\Gamma$.

Abstract:We prove a homotopy formula which yields almost optimal estimates in all (positive-indexed) Sobolev and Hölder-Zygmund spaces for the $\overline \partial$ equation on finite type domains in $\mathbb C^2$, extending the earlier results of Fefferman-Kohn (1988) and Chang-Nagel-Stein (1992), and Range (1992). The main novelty of our proof is the construction of holomorphic support functions that admit precise estimates when the parameter variable lies in a thin shell outside the domain, which generalizes Range's method.

Unique continuation at infinity: Carleman estimates on general warped cylinders

Abstract:We obtain a vanishing result for solutions of the inequality $|\Delta u|\le q_1|u|+q_2|\nabla u|$ that decay to zero along a very general warped cylindrical end of a Riemannian manifold. The appropriate decay condition at infinity on $u$ is related to the behavior of the potential functions $q_1$ and $q_2$ and to the asymptotic geometry of the end. The main ingredient is a new Carleman estimate of independent interest. Geometric applications to conformal deformations and to minimal graphs are presented.

Abstract:Given p , N > 1 , we prove the sharp L p -log-Sobolev inequality on noncompact metric measure spaces satisfying the CD ( 0 , N ) condition, where the optimal constant involves the asymptotic volume ratio of the space. This proof is based on a sharp isoperimetric inequality in CD ( 0 , N ) spaces, symmetrization, and a careful scaling argument. As an application we establish a sharp hypercontractivity estimate for the Hopf–Lax semigroup in CD ( 0 , N ) spaces. The proof of this result uses Hamilton–Jacobi inequality and Sobolev regularity properties of the Hopf–Lax semigroup, which turn out to be essential in the present setting of nonsmooth and noncompact spaces. Moreover, a sharp Gaussian-type L 2 -log-Sobolev inequality and a hypercontractivity estimate are obtained in RCD ( 0 , N ) spaces. Our results are new, even in the smooth setting of Riemannian/Finsler manifolds. In particular, an extension of the celebrated rigidity result of Ni (2004) [55] on Riemannian manifolds will be a simple consequence of our sharp log-Sobolev inequality.

On nonexpansiveness of metric projection operators on Wasserstein spaces

Abstract:In this paper we investigate properties of metric projections onto specific closed and geodesically convex proper subsets of Wasserstein spaces $(\mathcal{P}_p(\mathbf{R}^d),W_p).$ When $d=1$, as $(\mathcal{P}_2(\mathbf{R}),W_2)$ is isometrically isomorphic to a flat space with a Hilbertian structure, the corresponding projection operators are expected to be nonexpansive. We give a direct proof of this fact, relying on intrinsic analysis, which also implies nonexpansiveness in certain special cases in higher dimensions. When $d>1$, we show the failure of this property in two regimes: when $p>1$ is either small enough or large enough. Finally, we prove some positive curvature properties of Wasserstein spaces $(\mathcal{P}_p(\mathbf{R}^d),W_p)$ when $d\ge 2$ and $p\in(1,+\infty)$ are arbitrary: we show that Wasserstein spaces are nowhere locally Busemann NPC spaces, and they nowhere locally satisfy the so-called projection criterion. As a corollary of the former, they have nonnegative upper Alexandrov curvature, in a precise sense that we define here. In our analysis a particular subset of probability measures having densities uniformly bounded above by a given constant plays a special role.

Abstract:We give an explicit lower bound, in terms of the distance from the boundary, for the Kobayashi metric of a certain class of bounded pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb{C}^n$ with $\mathcal{C}^2$-smooth boundary using the regularity theory for the complex Monge--Ampere equation. Using such an estimate, we construct a family of unbounded Kobayashi hyperbolic domains in $\mathbb{C}^n$ having a certain negative-curvature-type property with respect to the Kobayashi distance. As an application, we prove a Picard-type extension theorem for the latter domains.

Abstract:Analytic functions in the Hardy class $H^2$ over the upper half-plane $\mathbb{H}_+$ are uniquely determined by their values on any curve $\Gamma$ lying in the interior or on the boundary of $\mathbb{H}_+$. The goal of this paper is to provide a quantitative version of this statement. Given that $f$ from a unit ball in $H^2$ is small on $\Gamma$ (say, its $L^2$ norm is of order $\epsilon$), how does this affect the magnitude of $f$ at a point $z$ away from the curve? When $\Gamma \subset \partial \mathbb{H}_+$, we give a sharp upper bound on $|f(z)|$ of the form $\epsilon^\gamma$, with an explicit exponent $\gamma=\gamma(z) \in (0,1)$ and describe the maximizer function attaining the upper bound. When $\Gamma \subset \mathbb{H}_+$ we give an implicit sharp upper bound in terms of a solution of an integral equation on $\Gamma$. We conjecture and give evidence that this bound also behaves like $\epsilon^\gamma$ for some $\gamma=\gamma(z) \in (0,1)$. These results can also be transplanted to other domains conformally equivalent to the upper half-plane.
