Abstract:We construct large families of harmonic morphisms which are holomorphic with respect to Hermitian structures by finding heierarchies of Weierstrass-type representations. This enables us to find new examples of complex-valued harmonic morphisms from Euclidean spaces and spheres.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem that this paper attempts to solve is to construct a large number of harmonic morphisms from Euclidean spaces and spheres to the complex plane, and these mappings are holomorphic under certain Hermitian structures. Specifically, the author constructs new examples of complex - valued harmonic mappings by looking for Weierstrass - type representations at different levels. The focus of the paper is as follows: 1. **Construction of harmonic mappings**: Through the Weierstrass representation, construct harmonic mappings from Euclidean spaces and spheres to the complex plane, especially those with superminimal fibres. 2. **Study of dimension reduction**: Explore how to reduce the dimension of these harmonic mappings from high - dimensional Euclidean spaces to low - dimensional Euclidean spaces and spheres while maintaining their harmonic properties. 3. **Establishment of a hierarchical structure**: Develop a more comprehensive method for describing harmonic mappings to form a hierarchical structure of Weierstrass representations, in order to better understand and classify these mappings. ### Main contributions - **Weierstrass representation**: Propose a systematic method to parameterize mappings that satisfy the horizontally weakly conformal and harmonic conditions using holomorphic data. - **Dimension reduction method**: Demonstrate how to reduce the dimension of harmonic mappings in high - dimensional spaces to low - dimensional spaces through specific projections (such as orthogonal projections and radial projections) while maintaining their harmonic properties. - **New examples**: Construct a large number of new examples of harmonic mappings, especially in four - dimensional and three - dimensional Euclidean spaces and on spheres. ### Mathematical background - **Harmonic mapping**: A smooth mapping \(\phi: U \to N\) is called a harmonic mapping if for any harmonic function \(f\) on an open set \(W\) in \(N\), its pull - back \(f\circ\phi\) is also harmonic on \(\phi^{-1}(W)\). - **Horizontally weakly conformal**: A mapping \(\phi\) is horizontally weakly conformal if it preserves angles on the horizontal subspace at each point. - **Weierstrass representation**: A method of parameterizing harmonic mappings by holomorphic functions, similar to Weierstrass's local representation of minimal surfaces. ### Formula examples - **Horizontally weakly conformal condition**: \[ \sum_{i = 1}^n\left(\frac{\partial\phi}{\partial x_i}\right)^2=0 \] - **Harmonic condition**: \[ \Delta\phi\equiv\sum_{i = 1}^n\frac{\partial^2\phi}{\partial x_i^2}=0 \] Through these methods and formulas, the author has successfully constructed a large number of new examples of harmonic mappings and provided a systematic framework for studying the properties of these mappings.
