Abstract:With our high statistics gamma-gamma-gamma data set taken with Gammasphere, we have identified a variety of new phenomena in A=100-112 nuclei. The one- and two- phonon gamma bands in Mo-104,Mo-106 have been extended and similar bands identified in Mo-108 and for the first time in both an odd N nucleus, Mo-105 and an odd Z nucleus, Nb-103. The one- and two- phonon gamma band energy levels in Mo-104,Mo-105,Mo-106,Mo-108 are remarkably similar with a trend toward lower energy as N increases. In Ru-108,Ru-110,Ru-112 the one phonon gamma bands show a completely different behavior from Mo104-108 with very large odd-even spin level energy staggering in Ru-112. Our data indicate a maximum triaxiality around Ru-112. In Nb-100 which lies between N=58 and 60 where a sudden shift from spherical to superdeformed structures occurs in Sr and Zr nuclei, we have discovered a K-pi=1(+) deformed ground state band. In Tc-108, we found the first pseudospin partner bands with nearly degenerate energies in this mass region.
