Abstract:Hubei is the cradle of Chu Culture,and also an important place where the Three-Kingdoms Culture happened and disseminated.Currently in Hubei Province,there is lack of the support by inner cultural possessions for the development and exploitation of the Chu and Three-Kingdoms Culture,adequate facilities-supporting and an overall developing strategy.In this situation,relevant governmental authorities should consider the following strategic solutions: taking festival-celebrating activities as a vehicle to display local cultural features distinctly;taking the sightseeing tours as the main part and construct necessary leisure facilities;taking the Chu and Three-Kingdoms Culture as the main resources to make a kind of cultural essence for Hubei in the new age;taking the three city-circles as the support to set up a Hubei cultural industry colony belt;taking the Chu and Three-Kingdom Culture as a brand to promote the development of the international cultural industry in Hubei.

Abstract:This article analyzes the history and modern state of anthropological museums in the Guangxi-Zhuang Autonomous Region (PRC) and researches the issue of how Zhuang culture is presented in exhibitions. The Zhuang are by far the most populous minority in China. In spite of their population and importance, foreign scholars do not usually pay much attention to them. The first anthropological museums appeared in China in the 1930s and since then have been developing through the periods of decay and prosperity along with the country itself. At present, the PRC’s anthropological museums are moving along with all the world trends of modernization of working processes and digitalization of practices and techniques. There is a network of ethnic ecomuseums in Guangxi. They were established to preserve local cultures in their own environment. This article shows that the results of the project are not as successful as planned. There are problems of ignorance among the local dwellers to their own culture, lack of funding and lack of interest in ecomuseums from both locals and managing personnel appointed by the government.

Abstract:Sanxingdui, the symbol of ancient Shu civilization, has been known to the world since the end of 1920s, which has gone through nearly 100 years of archaeological exploration and excavation. Its discovery completed the historical blank of Bashu urban civilization?about 770BC—316BC? as well as displayed the unique artistic world and cultural psychology of ancient Bashu people. Based on the magnificent history and remarkable depth of Chinese civilization, Sanxingdui culture has initiated the journey of cultural publicity since the 1990s. With the development of science and technology, arrival of the 5G era and new media, the publicity of Sanxingdui culture further reached the world. This paper briefly organizes the course and present situation of Sanxingdui culture’s publicity toward the world, and analyzes the boosting forces of Sanxingdui culture’s external publicity in the new era. Sanxingdui’s cultural publicity will be based on cultural IP, striving to comply with the communication characteristics and laws of the 5G era, and enriching the information service forms, so as to better promote its culture to the world.

Abstract:Linguistic landscape is a new perspective to study the spread of regional culture. The Sichuan museum is an important platform to spread the Ba-Shu culture, and the presentation and translation of the linguistic landscape in it carries a wealth of historical and cultural information, which is of great significance in promoting the inheritance and communication of the Ba-Shu culture. Based on the theoretical framework of place semiotics, this study uses qualitative and quantitative methods to examine the linguistic landscape in the Sichuan museum. Meanwhile, aimed at promote the high-quality dissemination of Ba-Shu culture, this research also points out the problems in the construction and translation of linguistic landscapes in the Sichuan museum and put forward corresponding suggestions and strategies for improvement in the future.

Abstract:The archaeological achievements of Sanxingdui culture excavation have been reported frequently. Each stage of Sanxindui excavation progress can attract the attention of the world and become the “top stream” of archaeology. The ancient Shu civilization, represented by Sanxingdui, has constantly collided, exchanged, integrated and learned from the outside world, and has become an important historical witness of the pluralistic, inclusive and continuous Chinese civilization. The numerous unprecedented artifacts newly discovered by Sanxingdui archaeology provide excellent research materials for exploring the origin of ancient Shu civilization. This paper briefly combines the course of Sanxingdui archaeological discovery, which helps readers deeply comprehends the cultural connotation hidden behind it, and then studies the significance of Sanxingdui culture to Bashu culture and Chinese civilization. The purpose is to follow the trend and put forward new methods and paths for the development of Sanxingdui culture, promote the innovative development of Sanxingdui culture at home and abroad.

Abstract:Abstract China Central Television broadcasted live reports on the latest archaeological excavation at the Sanxingdui site over four consecutive days, from 20–23 March 2021. Exquisite large golden mask fragments, as well as numerous bronze, jade, pottery and ivory artefacts, were unearthed in six newly discovered pits at the site. Following the public presentation of these ancient cultural relics, along with the contemporary archaeological excavation technologies, the mysterious Sanxingdui civilization has become a hot topic within the Chinese media and scientific community.

Abstract:At present, with the acceleration of urbanization and the strong embedding of foreign cultures, traditional urban culture faces serious threats and disintegration. Cultural faults have become a common problem in Chinese cities. As one of the four centrally administered municipalities in China, Chongqing has a history of two thousand years. In recent years, with the development of modernization, Chongqing’s original unique regional urban characteristics are gradually disappearing. This paper selects the most representative urban landscape of Chongqing as the research object. The purpose of this paper is to find out the phenomenon of cultural regeneration of Chongqing Bayu culture in modern landscape design, and to find out the method of cultural regeneration of traditional Bayu culture in modern landscape. In order to achieve this goal, this paper uses the research method of case investigation. First, select the landscape of the Three Gorges Square, which best represents the image of Chongqing city, for investigation. Then through the on-the-spot investigation, shooting records, conversation records and other forms, the investigation found out the phenomenon of the regeneration of Chongqing Bayu culture in the square landscape, and finally, by analyzing the phenomena appearing in the landscape of these Bayu cultures, the traditional methods of cultural regeneration in the modern landscape can be analyzed.

Abstract:The Zhongba site is one of the important sites recently excavated in the Yangtze Three Gorges Reservoir area.Its cultural deposits measure above 10 m in thickness for some plots,and the contents provide very rich material for comprehensively researching into the historical and environmental changes of this area from the late Neolithic period to the final phase of Bronze Age.In 1997 to 2002, archaeological excavation revealed cultural remains concerning those changes and specially organized salt production.Among them are quantities of animal bones.The results of their study suggest that,as time went on,fish was becoming more and more important,and the multiformity of mammals increased si- multaneously.This tendency was concerned with the change of the then organization of salt production. Meanwhile,the study involved the environmental evolution in the vicinity of this site from the late third millennium BC to the late first millennium BC.

Abstract:Intangible cultural heritage (ICH) represents the outstanding crystallization of human civilization and it has received extensive attention from scholars in various countries. Studying the spatial distribution and influencing factors of ICH in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area can help to improve the protection and utilization of ICH. Using quantitative statistical analysis methods, GIS spatial analysis methods, and Geodetector, we analyzed the level structure (provincial and national levels), category structure (ten categories), and spatial distribution of 509 national and provincial ICH items in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area and then explored their influencing factors. We concluded that: (1) The structural characteristics of ICH vary significantly, and the level structure is dominated by provincial ICH items; the category structure is complete and mainly includes traditional skill and traditional music. (2) The spatial distribution of ICH in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area is dense in the west and sparse in the east, with a pattern of “one main core, three major cores, and two minor cores”. There are large differences in the degree of concentration of ICH at the county level; different categories of ICH have different distribution densities and concentration areas. Yuzhong District, Shizhu County, and Wanzhou District are dense areas of distribution for different categories of ICH. (3) The influences of different factors on the spatial distribution of ICH in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area vary greatly. Socioeconomic and historical–cultural factors are more influential than natural geographic factors, among which economic development, culture, and ethnicity are the most influential, but the interaction between the two dimensions of natural geography and socioeconomic and historical culture has a more significant influence on the spatial distribution of ICH than single-dimensional factors. (4) Proposals for optimizing the spatial layout, protection, and development of ICH in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area are provided from the perspectives of culture and tourism integration and sustainable development.
