Abstract:In addition to the loss of life, Russian aggression against Ukraine, which began in February 2022, also brings interpersonal losses resulting from the need to emigrate. Parallel to the fighting men, women bear most of the burden of caring for the family. Using in-depth interviews supplemented by questions about adverse childhood experiences and administration of The Centrality of Events Scale and the PTSD Checklist – PCL-5 with 43 Ukrainian women (18–60 years old), we analyzed adaptation to the situation of emigration and the association of their war and earlier experiences with the level of traumatization. Women were interviewed shortly after emigration to the Czech Republic (3–42 week afterward). High levels of adverse childhood experiences and post-traumatic stress symptoms were found. The war was perceived as a currently negative central event associated with traumatic stress symptoms, and 79% of the sample expressed the opinion that the war had changed them. The results of this study suggest an intertwining of previous life experiences with the current need and ability to adapt.

Abstract:Background: The Russian invasion of Ukraine has driven millions of Ukrainians away from their homes. Among these, the majority have likely experienced war-related potentially traumatic events, and some will experience symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The aims of the study are to estimate the prevalence of PTSD and Complex PTSD (CPTSD) in displaced Ukrainians and examine associations between war- and other potentially traumatic exposures and (C)PTSD. Methods: Questionnaires were distributed to all registered adult Ukrainians (18+) who arrived in Denmark between February 24th 2022 and February 15th 2023 (N = 18,389). We estimate the prevalence of war exposures, other potentially traumatic exposures, and (C)PTSD. In logistic regression analyses, we test if exposure to war and other potentially traumatic events are associated with PTSD and CPTSD. Results: The final sample size was 6993 (38.0 %). Responders were more likely to be female and younger than non-responders. Prevalence of PTSD and CPTSD was 15.9 % and 13.5 %, respectively. Female gender, high education, and loss of a relative due to the war were associated with (C)PTSD. Direct and indirect exposure to war and combat was related to PTSD but not CPTSD, while exposure to war prior to the 2022 invasion was related to CPTSD but not PTSD. Limitations: The study is cross-sectional and based on self-report. Conclusion: Close to one third of the sample fulfill the criteria of PTSD or CPTSD. War exposures are differentially related to PTSD and CPTSD. The findings illustrate that trauma-related psychopathology is a pertinent problem in displaced Ukrainians.
Relationship of early-life trauma, war-related trauma, personality traits, and PTSD symptom severity: a retrospective study on female civilian victims of war

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Consequences of war-related traumatisation have mostly been investigated in military and predominant male populations, while research on female civilian victims of war has been neglected. Furthermore, research of post-war posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in women has rarely included early-life trauma in their prediction models, so the contribution of trauma in childhood and early youth is still unexplored.OBJECTIVE: To examine the relationship of early-life trauma, war-related trauma, personality traits, and symptoms of posttraumatic stress among female civilian victims of the recent war in Croatia.METHOD: The cross-sectional study included 394 participants, 293 war-traumatised adult women civilians, and 101 women without war-related trauma. Participants were recruited using the snowball sampling method. The applied instruments included the Clinician-Administrated PTSD Scale (CAPS), the NEO Personality Inventory-Revised (NEO-PI-R), the War Stressors Assessment Questionnaire (WSAQ), and the Early Trauma Inventory Self Report-Short Form (ETISR-SF). A hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed to assess the prediction model of PTSD symptom severity measured by CAPS score for current PTSD.RESULTS: The prevalence of current PTSD (CAPS cut-off score=65) in this cohort was 20.7%. The regression model that included age, early-life trauma, war-related trauma, neuroticism, and extraversion as statistically significant predictors explained 45.8% of variance in PTSD symptoms.CONCLUSIONS: Older age, exposure to early-life trauma, exposure to war-related traumatic events, high neuroticism, and low extraversion are independent factors associated with higher level of PTSD symptoms among women civilian victims of war.

Abstract:The ongoing Ukraine-Russia war triggered significant mental health consequences, particularly posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (CPTSD). A population study with 1895 Ukrainians explored the association between negative war-related beliefs and risk for PTSD and CPTSD. Negative war-related beliefs were shown to be significantly linked to increased risks for PTSD and more so for CPTSD. Interventions that address negative war-related beliefs could mitigate the mental health impact of war.

Abstract:The Russian invasion of Ukraine resulted in a dramatic increase of children and adolescents being confronted with war and other traumatic experiences, which could result in an increase of trauma-related mental health disorders such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in an entire generation. This study aims at reporting the prevalence of traumatic events, PTSD, and Complex PTSD (CPTSD) in children and adolescents seeking for mental health treatment since the Russian invasion. Additionally, the consistency of child and caregiver reported trauma, PTSD and CPTSD will be examined.

Explaining post-traumatic stress symptoms and sleep disturbance in Ukrainian civilians: perceived threat versus objective war exposure

Abstract:Objective: This study investigated the impact of war exposure on post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) and sleep disturbance across Ukraine. Subjective and objective indicators of war exposure were modelled as predictors of these symptoms.Methods: We created two predictors: first, we used governmental and crowd-sourced data to create an objective war exposure index for each of the 21 non-occupied regions of Ukraine, based on the number of air raid alarms, explosions, and proximity to frontline; and second, we obtained self-report cross-sectional data, using convenience sampling, from a nation-wide survey (N = 991) on subjective experience of threat triggered by the war. The survey also measured the outcome variables of PTSS and sleep disturbance. Hierarchical multilevel regressions modelled the relationship of this objective war exposure index with the two outcome variables, after accounting for demographics. A final regression step modelled subjective threat as predictor of these symptoms.Results: We observed strongly elevated levels of PTSS and sleep disturbance and strong regional differences in objective and subjective war indicators. Objective war exposure predicted PTSS but not sleep disturbance, whereas subjective threat predicted both symptom domains.Conclusion: The study demonstrates the utility of objective war exposure data for predicting the prevalence of PTSS in the different regions. The results further underscore the prominent role of subjective appraisal processes in the symptomatology of PTSS and sleep disturbance, thus informing theories on trauma-related disorders. Our results can guide the allocation of mental health services by identifying highly affected regions.

Abstract:The paper is devoted to analysis of the post-totalitarian memory in literary reception of Ukraine. After the decades of ignoring, this memory became the driving force of social processes and the construct of national identity. The author pays attention to the social trauma of soviet repressions and Second World War, which negatively influenced cultural consciousness of the society. Displaced and forgotten memory is understood as the main reason for lack of progress in the post-Soviet Ukraine. The traumatic experience of the past turned out to be both a lesson and an incentive for large-scale public and conscious transformations, about which modern authors write.
Associations between mental health symptoms, trauma, quality of life and coping in adults living in Ukraine: A cross-sectional study a year after the 2022 Russian invasion

Abstract:We aimed to assess the mental health of adults living in Ukraine one year after onset of the Russo-Ukrainian war, along with quality of life and coping strategies. Quota sampling was used to collect online survey data from 2364 adults aged 18-79 years living in Ukraine from April 5, 2023 to May 15, 2023. Among adults living in Ukraine, 14.4 % had probable post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), another 8.9 % had complex PTSD (CPTSD), 44.2 % had probable depressive disorder, 23.1 % had anxiety disorder and 38.6 % showed significant loneliness. In adjusted models, the number of trauma events experienced during the war showed a dose-response association with PTSD/CPTSD and was associated with depressive disorder and anxiety disorder. Quality of life domains, particularly physical quality of life, were negatively associated with PTSD/CPTSD, depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, and number of trauma events. Maladaptive coping was positively associated with depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, PTSD/CPTSD and loneliness. All quality of life domains were positively associated with using adaptive coping strategies. Mental health disorders are highly prevalent in adults living in Ukraine one year into the war. Policy and services can promote adaptive coping strategies to improve mental health and quality of life for increased resilience during war.
War trauma and strategies for coping with stress among Ukrainian refugees staying in Poland

Abstract:Objectives: The Russian military aggression against Ukraine resulted in a humanitarian crisis. There was a mass exodus of war refugees. More than 17 million people have left Ukraine since the war broke out. The refugees who came to Poland and other countries have experienced war trauma. The study aims to assess mental health of Ukrainian war refugees in Poland. Population and methods: At the time of the study, that is, in April and May 2022, between 1,5 million and 2 million Ukrainian refugees were staying in Poland. They were mainly young women with their children. The CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview) technique was used in the study. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling. The invitation to take part in the survey was posted on social media for Ukrainians in Poland, and also sent to the participants of a Polish as a Foreign Language course. The study utilizes the RHS-15 and a nominal scale measuring the strategies for coping with stress. Results: The research sample consists of 737 respondents. The results of the screening tests indicate that depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD may be observed among 73% of respondents, whereas 66% of the respondents display psychological distress. The analyses have shown that higher levels of mental health disorders were observed among women and refugees who do not speak Polish. Younger respondents experienced a higher psychological distress. The results of the study also indicate that the refugees more often implemented problem-focused strategies. The analysis has shown that the respondents who followed active strategies scored the lowest on RHS-15. The emotion-focused strategies, such as praying, diverting attention by becoming involved in different activities or taking sedatives were not effective. The highest levels of disorders were present among the refugees who indicated resignation. Conclusions: The collected observations indicate that the main problem which might hinder their adaptation could be mental health issues, which in turn impact the general deterioration of health and the quality of life.
Consequences of untreated posttraumatic stress disorder following war in former Yugoslavia: morbidity, subjective quality of life, and care costs

Abstract:Aim: To assess long-term mental health outcomes in people who suffer from war-related posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) but do not receive appropriate treatment. Methods: We interviewed 264 subjects from former Yugoslavia, who lived in Croatia, Serbia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. All of them had suffered from PTSD at some point following the war, but never received psychiatric or psychological treatment. The interviews took place on average 10.7+/-3.0 years after the war-related trauma. Outcomes were current PTSD on the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-IV, subjective quality of life (SQOL) on the Manchester Short Assessment of Quality of Life, and care costs. Socio-demographic characteristics, the level of traumatic war-events, and aspects of the post-war situation were tested for association with outcomes. Results: Current PTSD was diagnosed in 83.7% of participants, the mean SQOL score was 4.0+/-0.9, and mean care costs in the last 3 months exceeded euro1100 in each center. Older age, more traumatic war-events, lower education, and living in post-conflict countries were associated with higher rates of current PTSD. Older age, combat experience, more traumatic war-events, being unemployed, living alone, being housed in collective accommodation, and current PTSD were independently associated with lower SQOL. Older age and living in Germany were linked to higher costs of formal care. Conclusion: People with untreated war-related PTSD have a high risk of still having PTSD a decade after the traumatic event. Their SQOL is relatively low, and they generate considerable care costs. Factors that have been reported as influencing the occurrence of PTSD also appear relevant for recovery from PTSD. Current PTSD may impair SQOL independently of social factors.

Abstract:War represents one of the major traumatic events for humans and comes with enormous consequences for individuals and society over a long period of time. War causes acute psychological trauma, but also results in subacute, chronic psychiatric disorders for all those experiencing or witnessing direct war trauma and to those experiencing indirect war trauma resulting from losing the safety of home and financial income, to losing family members and close ones. Therefore, acute reaction to trauma may result in maladaptive disorders and PTSD within days of experiencing trauma and with chronic posttraumatic stress conditions even years after the traumatic experience. Chronic PTSD is associated with higher morbidity of somatic conditions, including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, metabolic syndrome, all resulting in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders. Additionally, according to reports from World Health Organisation (WHO), it has been projected that in emergencies, on average, the percentage of people with a severe mental disorder increases by 1 per cent over and above an estimated baseline of 2–3 per cent. In addition, the percentage of people with mild or moderate mental disorders, including mood and anxiety disorders (including PTSD), may increase by 5–10 per cent above an estimated baseline of 10 per cent. Furthermore, research indicate the possibility of a transgenerational effect of trauma, via maternal psychosocial stress and socioeconomic disadvantage during pregnancy but also through adverse parenting practices, as parenting style may change when exposed to war traumas. As war affects mental health of different population groups dramatically and long-term, establishment of long term and coordinated mental health care is necessary. Abstract:Exposure to war is a severe traumatic experience with disastrous mental health effects. This study examined the mental health among 5,560 residents in 11 countries worldwide at different geographic distances from the epicenter of the Russian-Ukrainian War (RUW). An online questionnaire assessed war-related variables (e.g., personal experiences with RUW, perceived concern and threat), previous life stress experiences, and mental health (i.e., resilience, anxiety, depression, perceived stress, ICD-11 PTSD, and CPTSD). Results showed regional differences. Ukrainians had the worst mental health indices, followed by participants in the bordering countries, and then by those in the distal ones. War-related variables were associated with worse mental health. The common predictors for PTSD and CPTSD were previous mental disorder, anxiety, and perceived stress, whereas unique predictors were also found (PTSD: female gender and impact of news on mental health; CPTSD: being single, overall impact of war on mental health, sum of lifetime traumatic experiences, resilience (inversely), and depression). Given the continuing uncertainty about the threat of war for many of the nations in this study, findings suggest the need for practitioners to support concerned populations.

Abstract:Introduction According to UNICEF, 2 million children have left the country since the beginning of the war. 2.5 million Ukrainian children are internally displaced persons. Minors often become victims or witnesses of violence. The events of 2022-2023 are the largest military conflict in the world since World War II. The impact on the mental health of the population is characterized by the variety and mass of traumatizing factors. Mental trauma causes PTSD, depressive disorders (DD), anxiety disorders (AD), behavioral disorders (CD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Objectives The aim of the study was to determine the prevalence of PTSD and its comorbidities at different stages of experiencing a traumatic experience. Methods 785 teen`s displaced from the zone of military operations, occupied territories were surveyed. Examinations included: K-SADS-PL, PSC-17, SCARED, CATS. 260 teen`s were examined during - 6, 400 – 6–12 months after traumatization. Results After 6 months of trauma, PTSD was diagnosed in 9.8%, ADHD – 10.2%, DD-22.3%, AD-30.8%, CD – 15.4%, 28.8%; examined 6 to 12 months after the injury, respectively: 21.9%, 12.6, 33.3%, 11.5%, 18.0%. Conclusions In war-affected children, PTSD is a risk factor for the subsequent development of comorbid depression, anxiety, conduct disorders, and ADHD. Female sex, secondary traumatization after displacement increase the risk of developing depression, signs of pervasive development and ADHD - the risk of destructive and self-injurious behavior. The prevalence of PTSD, DD, ADHD increases within 6-12 months after the trauma, the sensitivity of children with PTSD to secondary traumatic events increases. Disclosure of Interest None Declared

Addressing war trauma in Ukrainian refugees before it is too late

Abstract:Russian invasion of Ukraine has led to one of the largest refugee crises in recent history. Many internally displaced Ukrainians and refugees will need care for PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Here I will suggest practical steps to reduce long-term impact of trauma and stress on refugees' mental and physical health, and functioning. These include mental health first aid in acute phase of arrival, education of mental health and navigating healthcare system in the host countries. As well, training of manualized trauma-focused therapy and intervention methods in the host countries, focused education for physicians on psychopharmacological interventions for common mental health issues among refugees (PTSD, depression, anxiety), and utilization of videoconferencing for treatment, and consultation and supervision for providers. Many internally displaced Ukrainians and refugees will need care for PTSD, anxiety, and depression to prevent long-term disability and health consequences. There are challenges in receiving the needed care including stigma, lack of awareness by patients and providers, lack of resources, and lack of skills in trauma-focused treatments. In this article, suggestions are made on how to overcome these obstacles, that include mental health first aid upon arrival, education for refugees and those serving them, training providers at different layers, and remote treatment and counselling/supervision services.

Abstract:Major findings of a trauma survey with two samples of adolescents (age 11-17) are presented. One was a sample of school children from Croatia screened for PTSD at the time of warfare in former Yugoslavia (N = 172). The control was a sample of peers from Hungary (N = 282), with no personal experience of any warfare in lifetime. Croatian and Hungarian versions of a self-administered screening instrument was used to measure perceptions of trauma and twelve symptoms of PTSD. The findings call attention to the fact that despite remarkable difference between the two groups in free listing of adverse life events, the levels of distress as measured with a series of PTSD symptom scales were found not that dramatic as one would expect. The following symptom scales were found with high average self-rating in both groups: Nearly equally high mean scores were estimated for both groups in the following symptom scales: 1, Anger, 2. Revenge, 3. Meaninglessness, 4. Fear,5. Powerlessness, in this order. The largest between groups difference was found in the “Hate” subscale on the behalf of the warfare sample (t = 8.46 df = 426 p < .0001). Alternative interpretations of the results are discussed.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: While in recent years epidemiological studies on World War (WW) II-related traumatization and prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in elderly persons have been conducted for various European countries, for Austria, these numbers are unknown.OBJECTIVE: The focus of this epidemiologic study was to picture the current mental health status and prevalence of PTSD and lifetime traumatic events in Austria's elderly with respect to WWII and subsequent occupation.METHOD: In an interdisciplinary approach of psychologists and historians, 316 elderly Austrians (born before 1946) were interviewed for symptoms of PTSD and lifetime traumatization (Traumatic Life Events Questionnaire, PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version), current mental health (Brief Symptom Inventory), wartime-related trauma, and traumatic experiences with occupational forces. These factors were also compared regarding the zone of occupation (Allied vs. Soviet). Data were collected between March and September 2010.RESULTS: 97.5% of the sample reported at least one lifetime trauma. War-related traumata were reported by 92.7% and non-war-related traumata by 82.3%; 40.2% experienced traumatic events with occupational forces. PTSD was present in 1.9% of the sample and up to 13.9% taking subthreshold PTSD into account. Both, the presence of symptoms indicative of PTSD and subthreshold PTSD implied weaker current mental health (regarding General Distress: odds ratios up to 25.51; 95% CI = 9.82 to 66.27). Independent of PTSD diagnosis persons from the Soviet occupied zone showed higher levels of Interpersonal Sensitivity, Global Distress, and Phobic Anxiety. Prevalence of PTSD was independent of gender.CONCLUSIONS: Our results corroborate findings from other European countries that PTSD is a common disorder in the elderly due to WWII experience and that PTSD and trauma affect mental health even across long periods of time. Postwar distressing conditions also pose a further risk factor for symptomatology and distress in later years.

Specific mental trauma leads to psychiatric disorders that have common characteristics, which allows them to be separated into a separate heading - F43.1 (PTSD-post-traumatic stress disorder) in MKH-10. It is revealed that more than 26.5% of fighters from 324 respondents who returned from the ATO zone have clear signs of dysphoric variant of PTSD, including flashbacks, emotional numbness, unmotivated vigilance, maladaptation, and psychosomatic disorders. It is important to determine the criteria for the distribution of this condition, which is essential for the treatment and resolution of social issues. The purpose of the work is to identify the etiological factors and characteristic manifestations of dysphoric variant of PTSD in combatants. Materials and methods: On the basis of the Vinnitsa Regional Clinical Hospital of War Veterans (VRCHWV), as well as on the basis of the expert department of the scientific research institute of rehabilitation of the of disabled people of Mykola Pirogov VNMU (SRIRDP) surveyed 86 respondents suffering from dysphoric variant of PTSD. Basic methods of research: clinical anamnestic, clinical psychopathological (clinical interview), socio-demographic (questionnaire), psychodiagnostic, statistical. The results showed a significant correlation between the personal differential indices and the assessment of the level of neuro-psychic stability according to Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients (P <0.01). Almost all respondents showed high and medium levels of self-esteem (6.4 and 92.3% respectively). According to the results of the surveys, the arithmetic mean of the assessment of neuropsychiatric resistance (25.62 ± 11.62) indicates a tendency for neuropsychiatric breakdowns. Conclusions: The relevance of anxiety level research is related not only to its high prevalence in patients, but also with the tendency to chronicize the process and fix symptoms in the form of persistent personality changes. Timely identification of problems will improve the effectiveness of the respondents' medical work.
Psychiatric help to psychotraumatized persons during and after war in Croatia

Abstract:Aim: To present organization of psychosocial support and treatment of traumatized persons during and after the 1991-1995 war in Croatia. Method: Description of application and results of community-based National Program of Psychosocial Help to War Victims, and retrospective analysis of hospitalizations for psychotrauma at the National Center for Psychotrauma, Dubrava University Hospital. Results: During the 1991-1995 war in Croatia, the population faced severe traumatic events, and the need for organized psychosocial help to traumatized persons was great. Government has established the network of psychosocial help in 1994. This was the beginning of the National Program of Psychosocial Help to War Victims. As a strategy in building a social support, the pyramidal model consisting of five levels of psychosocial help was used. The levels were the following: 1) preventive programs in mental health, 2) nonspecific psychological help in community, 3) basic psychological help, 4) psychiatric institutionalized help and specific psychological help, and 5) national coordination and operative planning. During the war, the work primarily centered around community-based approach, satisfying the current needs of the traumatized people, such as food, medication, and clothes, and providing crisis psychological interventions and urgent psychiatric help. In 1999, this organizational scheme was replaced by the establishment of the National Center for Psychotrauma and four Regional Centers for Psychotrauma in Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, and Split. In the post-war period, the emphasis was on psychological and social help in the community and on institutionalized approach to treatment of psychotrauma. According to the data of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, in the 1998 and 1999 there were 1,744 and 2,415 hospitalizations due to PTSD and related disorders, respectively. Conclusion: The community-based approach remained central in dealing with psychotraumatized persons during and after the war. In the post-war period, the emphasis was put on non-specific and specific psychological and social help in the community, with institutionalized approach to the treatment of PTSD and related disorders, whereas satisfying the current needs (food, medication, clothing), intervention in the crisis situations and urgent psychiatric interventions were of prime importance during the war.
High rates of probable PTSD among Ukrainian war refugees: the role of intolerance of uncertainty, loss of control and subsequent discrimination

Abstract:Background: Intolerance of uncertainty is a well-known predictor of post-traumatic stress symptoms following a traumatic event. At the same time, it is relatively unknown whether intolerance of uncertainty amplifies the effects of other adverse life events on PTSD symptoms among traumatized individuals. Objective: This article addresses this problem in a study of Ukrainian war refugees' experiences with post-migration discrimination and powerlessness (loss of control). Method: 4972 forced immigrants from Ukraine took part in the study (90.2% women, M age = 40.4, SD = 12.5) completing the PTSD-8 scale, measures of post-migration discrimination and loss of control experiences, and intolerance of uncertainty. Results: Almost half of respondents (47.5%) have probable PTSD. Regression analysis confirmed that war-related experiences, as well as intolerance of uncertainty, post-migration loss of control and experiences of discrimination were significant predictors of self-reported PTSD symptoms. Also, intolerance of uncertainty weakly moderated the effects of experienced discrimination and control deprivation on self-reported PTSD symptoms, so that the effects of adverse post-migration experiences were more pronounced among individuals high in intolerance of uncertainty. Conclusions: Understanding the effect of post-migration experiences on war refugees' mental health is crucial for developing improved acculturation policies and fostering a supportive environment for forced migrants. Antecedentes: La intolerancia a la incertidumbre es un predictor bien conocido de síntomas de estrés postraumático después de un evento traumático. Al mismo tiempo, es relativamente desconocido si la intolerancia a la incertidumbre amplifica los efectos de otros eventos vitales adversos sobre los síntomas de TEPT en individuos traumatizados. Objetivo: Este artículo aborda este problema en un estudio de las experiencias de refugiados de guerra ucranianos con discriminación y la impotencia (pérdida de control) posteriores a la migración. Método: Participaron en el estudio 4.972 inmigrantes forzados procedentes de Ucrania (90.2% mujeres, edad media = 40.4, DE = 12.5) quienes completaron la escala de TEPT-8, medidas de discriminación posterior a la migración y experiencias de pérdida del control e intolerancia a la incertidumbre. Resultados: Casi la mitad de los encuestados (47.5%) tiene un probable TEPT. Los análisis de regresión confirmaron que las experiencias relacionadas con la guerra, así como la intolerancia a la incertidumbre, la pérdida de control posterior a la migración y experiencias de discriminación fueron predictores significativos de síntomas de TEPT auto reportados. Además, la intolerancia a la incertidumbre moderó débilmente los efectos de la discriminación experimentada y la privación de control sobre los síntomas de TEPT auto reportados, de modo que los efectos de las experiencias adversas posteriores a la migración fueron más pronunciados entre las personas con alta intolerancia a la incertidumbre. Conclusiones: Comprender el efecto de las experiencias posteriores a la migración en la salud mental de los refugiados de guerra es crucial para desarrollar mejores políticas de aculturación y fomentar un entorno de apoyo para los migrantes forzados.
