Abstract:In this manuscript, we consider the logarithmic Schrödinger equation \begin{eqnarray*} -\varepsilon^2\Delta u+V(x)u=u\log u^{2},\,\,\,u>0, & \text{in}\,\,\,\mathbb{R}^{N}, \end{eqnarray*} where $N\geq3$, $\varepsilon>0$ is a small parameter. Under some assumptions on $V(x)$, we show the existence of positive multi-peak solutions by Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction. It seems to be the first time to study singularly perturbed logarithmic Schrödinger problem by reduction. And here using a new norm is the crucial technique to overcome the difficulty caused by the logarithmic nonlinearity. At the same time, we consider the local uniqueness of the multi-peak solutions by using a type of local Pohozaev identities.

Abstract:We study the logarithmic Schrödinger equation with the sign-changing potential function. It is known that the corresponding functional is not well defined in <math>H1(RN)</math>, but by imposing some condition on V(x), we can show that the functional is well defined in a subspace of <math>H1(RN)</math>. Then, the existence and multiplicity of solutions is obtained by using variational methods. We remark that the existence of solutions is deeply influenced by the sign of Q(x).

Abstract:Let Ω be a finite connected subset of a locally finite graph G = (V, E) with the vertex set V and the edge set E. We investigate the logarithmic Schrödinger equation on Ω with the nonlinear term |u|p−2u log u2. For p > 2, through two different approaches which are the Brouwer degree theory and mountain-pass theorem, we obtain the existence of ground state solutions. We also apply the Brouwer degree theory together with the constraint variational method to prove that the equation admits a sign-changing solution which implies the multiplicity of solutions to the equation. Finally, we illustrate that as p → 2, up to a subsequence, the solutions for p > 2 shall converge to a non-trivial solution of the equation with p = 2.

Abstract:We consider the following logarithmic Schrödinger–Poisson system: where is a bounded domain in with smooth boundary , , f ( x , u ) is continuous without any other condition. Using constrained variational method, Mountain Pass Theorem and iterative technique, we prove the existence of mountain pass solutions when small enough. Moreover, with in , the above system possesses the another local minimum nontrivial solution. Finally, we prove that for any , there exists , such that if , the above system possesses at least j distinct high energy solutions.

Abstract:In this paper we will prove the existence of a positive solution for a class of Schrödinger logarithmic equation of the form \begin{equation} \left\{\begin{aligned} -\Delta u &+ u =Q(x)u\log u^2,\;\;\mbox{in}\;\;\Omega,\nonumber &\mathcal{B}u=0 \,\,\, \mbox{on} \,\,\, \partial \Omega , \end{aligned} \right. \end{equation} where $\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N$, $N \geq 3$, is an \textit{exterior domain}, i.e., $\Omega^c=\mathbb{R}^N \setminus \Omega$ is a bounded smooth domain where $\mathcal{B}u=u$ or $\mathcal{B}u=\frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu}$. We have used new approach that allows us to apply the usual $C^1$-variational methods to get a nontrivial solutions for these classes of problems.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the following nonlinear magnetic Schrödinger equation with logarithmic nonlinearity \begin{equation*} -(\nabla+iA(x))^2u+\lambda V(x)u =|u|^{q-2}u+u\log |u|^2,\ u\in H^1(\mathbb{R}^N,\mathbb{C}), \end{equation*} where the magnetic potential $A \in L_{l o c}^2\left(\mathbb{R}^N, \mathbb{R}^N\right)$, $2<q<2^*,\ \lambda>0$ is a parameter and the nonnegative continuous function $V: \mathbb{R}^N \rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ has the deepening potential well. Using the variational methods, we obtain that the equation has at least $2^k-1$ multi-bump solutions when $\lambda>0$ is large enough.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the following nonhomogeneous quasilinear Schrödinger–Poisson system with exponential and logarithmic nonlinearities {[ -Δ u+ϕ u =|u|^p-2ulog |u|^2 +λ f(u) +h(x), inΩ ,; -Δϕ -ε ^4 Δ _4 ϕ =u^2, inΩ ,; u=ϕ =0, on∂Ω ,; ]. where 40 are parameters, Δ _4 ϕ = div(|∇ϕ |^2 ∇ϕ ) , Ω⊂ℝ^2 is a bounded domain, and f has exponential critical growth. First, using reduction argument, truncation technique, Ekeland’s variational principle, and the Mountain Pass theorem, we obtain that the above system admits at least two solutions with different energy for λ large enough and ε fixed. Finally, we research the asymptotic behavior of solutions with respect to the parameters ε .

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the Chern–Simons–Schrödinger system where is a parameter and is a bounded continuous function. Under some mild assumptions on V ( x ), exploiting the finite-dimensional reduction method, we construct multi-peak solutions of the problem above. Also, we prove that all the concentrated solutions of the problem have the same form. Meanwhile, we present that the concentrated solutions are locally unique by various local Pohozaev identities, blow-up analysis and the maximum principle. Because of the nonlocal terms involved by and we have to build a series of new and technical estimates which are very useful to study this problem.

Abstract:In this paper our objective is to investigate the existence of multiple normalized solutions to the logarithmic Schrödinger equation given by \begin{align*} \left\{ \begin{aligned} &-\epsilon^2 \Delta u+V( x)u=\lambda u+u \log u^2, \quad \quad \hbox{in }\mathbb{R}^N,\\ &\int_{\mathbb{R}^{N}}|u|^{2}dx=a^{2}\epsilon^N, \end{aligned} \right. \end{align*} where $a, \epsilon>0, \lambda \in \mathbb{R}$ is an unknown parameter that appears as a Lagrange multiplier and $V: \mathbb{R}^N \rightarrow[-1, \infty)$ is a continuous function. Our analysis demonstrates that the number of normalized solutions of the equation is associated with the topology of the set where the potential function $V$ attains its minimum value. To prove the main result, we employ minimization techniques and use the Lusternik-Schnirelmann category. Additionally, we introduce a new function space where the energy functional associated with the problem is of class $C^1$.

Abstract:We propose a new variational approach to find multiple critical points for strongly indefinite variational problems without assuming the weak upper semicontinuity on the variational functionals. By this approach, we obtain the existence of infinitely many geometrically distinct solutions for a stationary periodic Schrödinger equation, in which the linear part is strongly indefinite and the nonlinear term is allowed to change sign in general ways.

Abstract:We study the existence of normalized solutions to the following logarithmic Schrödinger equation \begin{equation*}\label{eqs01} -\Delta u+\lambda u=\alpha u\log u^2+\mu|u|^{p-2}u, \ \ x\in\R^N, \end{equation*} under the mass constraint \[ \int_{\R^N}u^2\mathrm{d}x=c^2, \] where $\alpha,\mu\in \R$, $N\ge 2$, $p>2$, $c>0$ is a constant, and $\lambda\!\in\!\R$ appears as Lagrange multiplier. Under different assumptions on $\alpha,\mu,p$ and $c$, we prove the existence of ground state solution and excited state solution. The asymptotic behavior of the ground state solution as $\mu\to 0$ is also investigated. Our results including the case $\alpha<0$ or $\mu<0$, which is less studied in the literature.
