Abstract:We prove that automorphic representations whose local components are certain small representations have multiplicity one. The proof is based on the multiplicity-one theorem for certain functionals of small representations, also proved in this paper.

Abstract:The main theme of this paper is that singular automorphic forms on classical groups are given by theta series liftings. We establish several inequalities relating the automorphic multiplicities of a given representation and that of its abstract theta lift. Our methods allow one to lift noncuspidal, square integrable automorphic forms when the dual pair involved is in the stable range. In this way we construct new families of singular automorphic forms, many of which are clearly unipotent. In fact, starting from one-dimensional representations and repeating the procedure (of lifting in the stable range), one may obtain all automorphic forms which are quadratic unipotent in the sense of Moeglin.

Abstract:Let G be one of the classical Lie groups GL(n+1)(R), GL(n+1)(C), U(p, q + 1), O(p, q + 1), On+1(C), SO(p, q + 1), SOn+1(C), and let G' be respectively the subgroup GL(n)(R), GL(n)(C), U(p, q), O(p, q), O-n(C), SO(p, q), SO (C), embedded in G in the standard way. We show that every irreducible Casselman-Wallach representation of G' occurs with multiplicity at most one in every irreducible Casselman-Wallach representation of G. Similar results are proved for the Jacobi groups GL(n)(R) (sic) H2n+1(R), GL(n)(C) (sic) H2n+1 (C), U(p, q) (sic) H2p+2q+1(R), Sp(2n)(R) (sic) H2n+1(R), Sp(2n)(C) (sic) H2n+1 (C) with their respective subgroups GL(n)(R), GL(n)(C), U(p, q), Sp(2n)(R), and SP2n(C).

Abstract:We prove that any simply connected non-compact semisimple Lie group $G$ admits an infinite-dimensional irreducible representation $\Pi$ with bounded multiplicity property of the restriction $\Pi|_{G'}$ for all symmetric pairs $(G, G')$. We also discuss which irreducible representations $\Pi$ satisfy the bounded multiplicity property.

Abstract:Let $k$ be a local field of characteristic zero. Rankin-Selberg's local zeta integrals produce linear functionals on generic irreducible admissible smooth representations of $GL_n(k)\times GL_r(k)$, with certain invariance properties. We show that up to scalar multiplication, these linear functionals are determined by the invariance properties.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish the local converse theorem and the stability of local gamma factors for $\Mp_{2n}$ via the precise local theta correspondence between $\Mp_{2n}$ and $\SO_{2n+1}$ over local fields of characteristic not equal to 2. As an application, we can prove the rigidity theorem for irreducible generic cuspidal automorphic representations of $\Mp_{2n}$ over number fields.

Abstract:Let G be one of the classical groups GL(n), U(n), O(n) or Sp(2n), over a nonarchimedean local field of characteristic zero. It is well known that the contragredient of an irreducible admissible smooth representation of G is isomorphic to a twist of it by an automorphism of G. We prove that similar results hold for double covers of G that occur in the study of local theta correspondences.

Abstract:Let $ H_1,\dots,H_{2n+2}$ be \emph{generic} $(2n+2)$ hyperplanes in $\mathbb{P}^n.$ It is proved that if meromorphic maps $ f $ and $ g $ of $\mathbb{C}^m $ into $\mathbb{P}^n $ satisfy $ f^*(H_j)=g^*(H_j)$ $(1\leq j\leq 2n+2)$ and $ g $ is algebraically non-degenerate then $ f=g.$ This result is essentially implied by the proof of Hirotaka Fujimoto in papers [Nagoya Math. J., 1976(64): 117--147] and [Nagoya Math. J., 1978(71): 13--24]. This note gives a complete proof of the above uniqueness result.

Abstract:We give universal bounds on the fraction of nontrivial zeros having given multiplicity for L-functions attached to a cuspidal automorphic representation of $\mathrm{GL}_m/\mathbb{Q}$. Abstract:We investigate the multiplicity-freeness property for the holomorphic multiplier representations of affine transformation groups of a Siegel domain of the second kind. We deal with the generalized Heisenberg group and its subgroups. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a specific representation to be multiplicity-free are provided. We study the multiplicity-freeness property in relation to the geometrical notions of coisotropic action and visible action, and also the commutativity of the algebra of invariant differential operators.

Abstract:Local and global conjugacy issue is closely related to the multiplicity one property in representation theory and Langlands' program. We classify all even dimensional orthogonal irreducible representations which are locally conjugate but not globally conjugate in image in SO(2N), and with certain Langlands' functoriality these will lead to connected instances for the failure of multiplicity one for SO(2N) (named as LFMO). In this note, we gather most our local–global results in a purely representation theoretic way.

Abstract:We prove a rank-two potential automorphy theorem for mod $l$ representations satisfying an ordinary condition. Combined with an ordinary automorphy lifting theorem, we prove a rank-two, $p \ne l$ case of local-global compatibility for regular algebraic cuspidal automorphic representations of arbitrary weight over CM fields that is $\iota$-ordinary for some $\iota: \overline{\mathbb{Q}}_l\xrightarrow{\sim}\mathbb{C}$.

Abstract:We study the generalized doubling method for pairs of representations of $G\times GL_k$ where $G$ is a symplectic group, split special orthogonal group or split general spin group. We analyze the poles of the local integrals, and prove that the global completed $L$-function with a cuspidal representation of $GL_k$ twisted by a highly ramified Hecke character is entire. We obtain a new proof of the weak functorial transfer of cuspidal automorphic representations of $G$ to the natural general linear group, which is independent of the trace formula and its prerequisites, by combining our results with the Converse Theorem.
