Abstract:Carbon steel low have nature mechanical specifically nature capable good form. Capability form on steel influenced by various factor among them that is thickness. Influence different thickness give effect significant to nature capable form described steel through Forming Limit Curve (FLC) or curve limit formation. Forming Limit Curve (FLC) is an important parameter for knowing nature capable form a material. So, it's important for knowing influence thickness in steel to the resulting Forming Limit Curve (FLC). The material used in the test this that is steel carbon low with thickness of 0.7 and 0.8 mm which has been screen printed pattern shaped lattice circle 2 mm in diameter in section surface. The stretching test was carried out based on method Nakazima using a shaped punch half circle or hemispherical with condition testing use lubricant and without lubricant. Test results in the form of major and minor strain data is used for create a Forming Limit Curve (FLC) model for each thickness on each condition testing. Research results show if steel carbon low with 0.8 mm thick produces more Forming Limit Curve (FLC) positions tall compared 0.7mm thickness is good in condition testing with lubricant or without lubricant.
