Abstract:In recent years, with the improvement of large-scale planting in rural areas, greenhouse cultivation technology has been developed rapidly. Intelligent monitoring and control of modern agricultural greenhouse is a hot topic at present. Based on the design requirements of modern greenhouse and the architecture of software design, this paper designs and develops the main program, data acquisition subroutine, alarm subroutine, control keystroke subroutine and display driver subroutine of the system based on the STM32F103ZET6 main control chip, and realizes the design of intelligent monitoring and control system of greenhouse, This study is of great significance for the establishment of scientific ecological environment of plants and the realization of high quality and high yield of crops.

Abstract:Because the greenhouse control systems designed in the past are not adaptable in practice, a new greenhouse control system based on RS485 bus is realized in this paper. A new smart sensor block is developed in the system to acquire field environment factor, which can reduce complex routing and increase reliability of the whole system. The model of solar greenhouse is introduced and fuzzy control is adopted in control unit. Besides, a friendly human-computer interface is developed by LabVIEW. Abstract:Abstract In order to further reduce the cost and power consumption of smart homes, and increase the control methods of smart homes, a smart home monitoring system based on STM32 single-chip microcomputer is designed. The system uses STM32F103C8T6 as the main control chip, which collects the data information of temperature, humidity, light intensity, PM2.5 and methane concentration sent by the sensor, supplemented by a WIFI module, and uses ESP8266WIFI communication technology to transmit the data to the platform. The system test results show that when the room temperature exceeds 26 degrees, the refrigeration relay module works. When the PM2.5 concentration exceeds 150μg/m 3 , the fan turns on. When the methane concentration in the natural gas exceeds 1600 ppm, the buzzer alarms and the curtain relay works. System users can monitor and display home measurement data through OLED screens, Qt interface, mobile apps, and monitor and display home measurement data. Users can remotely monitor home conditions through the mobile client APP, and realize functions such as home temperature control, environmental detection, and curtain control.

Abstract:Abstract With the development of automatic control technology and the popularization of agricultural science and technology, people are more and more aware of the intelligence convenience. In this study, a set of intelligent greenhouse temperature control system is established based on single chip microcomputer STM32F103. PID algorithm is used to realize stepless adjustment of greenhouse temperature, and complete the temperature automatic monitoring and control. It solves the greenhouse problems of low automation degree, large amount of manual work and low control accuracy of crop growth environment. The system simulation and practice show that it can improve the temperature and humidity control accuracy of greenhouse by 10.8%, and reduce the amount of manual work, and provide a good natural environment for plant growth and development, and have high economic benefits.

Abstract:Recovering energy from biomass and treating organic waste can be done effectively through a biogas digester system. However, monitoring the performance and control of the system to produce biogas is possible through the online process. Therefore, this study developed a novel low-cost gas and temperature profiling system (GTPS) and data acquisition system (DAS) used in biogas digester. The GTPS is designed to monitor and record the amount of methane (CH 4 ) and carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), the main constituent of biogas, from 0 to 100% and to measure the slurry temperature in the digester using a K-type thermocouple. To test the developed monitoring system, the biogas yield (%) and temperature were monitored, and the result obtained agreed with that reported and obtained in the literature (50–70% and 30−40%) for CH 4 and CO 2 , respectively, followed by the desired mesophilic temperature condition for biogas production (20–35 °C). The study employed an RS-232/RS-485 converter for data communication and a low-cost thermocouple module (isolated analog input) that was installed in the data acquisition system. Interestingly, the application of the converter equipment has never been used in any study on monitoring a biogas digester.

Abstract:The rural household biogas digesters are studied in this paper, and numerical analysis is used to simulate the effects of light climates in the cold season and the heat of sunlight on the temperature distribution in the pool. The numerical results show that the uneven distributions of light intensity and temperature in the biogas digester have a great influence on its cumulative gas production. The central area has a significant heat collection effect, the inner wall is weaker, and the temperature near the top is slightly higher than that in the lower area, and the vertical temperature changes in a decreasing trend. Aiming at the different photo-climatic conditions of the household biogas digester and the uneven heat collection and temperature distribution in different periods, the traditional slag pumping work is cumbersome, and the utilization rate of the biogas residue is low, so a new household with pretreatment is proposed. An intelligent temperature control system is designed for the biogas tank to analyze the adverse effects of straw fermentation at low temperature, insufficient gas production and low resource utilization.

Abstract:Based on the science and technology plan project of Shandong province, this paper designs an automatic control system based on the temperature, humidity and light intensity of the embedded agricultural greenhouse. The system uses DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor and BH1750 light intensity sensor to collect environmental information and transmit the collected data to the STM32F103ZET6 microcontroller for processing and sending out control signals. The system is simple in operation, low in cost and high in precision.

Abstract:Constant methane yield from the biogas plants is necessary to achieve stable heat and power generation. From conventional biogas plants, a fluctuating methane yield is obtained due to variation in operating conditions. In this paper, an inferential control for constant methane yield by regulating the digester temperature is proposed. The optimal operating temperature of the digester is determined using artificial neural network (ANN). It considers variations in total volatile solids and hydraulic retention period to get constant methane yield. After training the proposed ANN, achieved MSE is 0.0003522, RMSE is 0.01876, and R2 of 1 for training, validation, and testing. A proportional-integral-derivative controller tuned by bacterial foraging-particle swarm optimization along with a derivative filter has been used in the temperature control loop. In addition, the temperature sensor is replaced by a temperature estimator in the control loop. The performance of the proposed control scheme has been examined for various realistic operating conditions using MATLAB software.Graphical abstract

Abstract:Traditional biomass boiler operations predominantly rely on manual control, with adjustments made based on operator experience. This approach not only demands considerable manpower but also leads to suboptimal resource utilization. Addressing the specific operational dynamics of biomass boilers, this study introduces a controller designed around the STM32 microcontroller. This device employs a modular architecture and incorporates cost-effective chips and peripheral components. To enhance energy efficiency and the overall user experience, the controller utilizes pulse width modulation pulse modulation alongside a fuzzy PID control strategy. Capable of toggling between manual and automatic modes for local operations, it also supports data logging directly on the device or in the cloud. Tailored to meet diverse user requirements, the controller facilitates remote monitoring and management. It employs a strategic control mechanism for various motors, ensuring precise hot water temperature measurements within the boiler and enabling data uploads to cloud platforms. This not only conserves energy and reduces labor costs but also promotes environmental sustainability and operational efficiency. Through ongoing refinement and rigorous testing, the controller has achieved a level of maturity that underscores its readiness for widespread implementation.

Abstract:In recent years the importance and demand of renewable energy has been increased drastically. The energy producers are facing ongoing challenges in executing biogas production due to lack of automation facilities and intelligent mechanisms to optimize the gas production. Our research work aims to design and develop Internet-of-things (IoT) controlled system coupled with a logic controller to monitor, predict and enhance biogas production thereby to overcome the current barriers and shortcomings of biogas production. The proposed architectural framework comprises three layers firstly the sensing layer followed by the predicting lawyer then the resolving layer. The sensing layer senses the data from the microcontroller coupled with temperature, pH, pressure and the methane sensor. In the predicting layer the sensed data are transported into the fuzzy domain by the fuzzification process. A rule-based inference engine predicts the appropriate consequences based on the antecedents. In the resolving layer, the predicted results are visualized to find the factors affecting the gas production and appropriate measures to be taken to improve the gas production. The experimental result of the proposed system accurately predicts the composition of methane to be generated for the loaded input feed which results to the prediction accuracy of 91% and error prediction percentage −9.51% which increases the stability of the digesters lifespan.Graphical abstract

Abstract:In order to solve the shortcomings of the traditional smart home server, the development and implementation of a novel embedded smart home control system based on STM32F407VGT6 microprocessor and μC/OS-II embedded real-time operating system is proposed in this paper. The hardware implementation and software design of embedded smart home control system based on STM32 are described in detail. The proposed hardware architecture is composed of remote user application terminals, the terminal control unit and various terminals distributed in different rooms. The communication between the terminal control unit and the field terminals is implemented using ZigBee technology. Moreover, the temperature and humidity digital composite sensors DHT11 are used to collect real-time data of temperature and humidity in different rooms. Then, the dual-band GSM/GPRS module SIM800A is selected for information transmission of sensor data and remote commands. The final experimental results show that the remote terminal can realize the control of the field intelligent appliances. Remote users can also easily browse the household temperature and humidity data using the mobile APP or the web page.

Abstract:This paper designed a greenhouse intelligent control system of two levels' monitoring model mainly based on STM32. One was basement control including environmental information collection and automatic control,and the other was remote control. Base monitoring supports environmental information real-time display,history query and change curve display,which can set the ideal growing environmental parameters by the friendly man-machine interface using the touch screen design. The system can make automatic control of greenhouse environment to serve the needs of crop growth,which was based on the set of environmental parameters and real-time acquisition of environmental information to control environmental control equipment. Remote monitoring control system adopted RS232 communication protocol with the base connection,and it had the function of parameters setting,real-time data display and historical query. The system also supported manual mode control in response to the sudden alarm control.Test analysis showed that the system of greenhouse environment monitoring has good practicability and reliability.

Abstract:In far-flung areas have insufficient and irregular electric supply and uses fossil fuels to fulfil their energy needs. A lot of organic waste is generated in these areas that can be converted into energy using biogas plants. However, biogas plant usually fails due to variations in digester temperatures with ambient temperature. In this research, a low-cost hybrid system has been investigated by including a solar photovoltaic system with the biogas plant. The electrical power generated by the photovoltaic has been used to power the electrical load as well as to regulate the temperature of the digester. An experimental setup has been developed to analyze the performance of the proposed system. All control actions including maximum power point tracking have been implemented using an Arduino Uno microcontroller. Modifications in the conventional Incremental Conductance maximum power point tracking have been proposed for better power delivery by the photovoltaic system. The proposed hybrid system effectively controlled the temperature of the anaerobic digester, elevated the temperature from 26 to 31 °C, and provided power to the electrical load when available.

Abstract:In order to improve the intelligent level of home, a smart home control system based on STM32 is designed by combining ZigBee and WiFi communication technology. The system consists of STM32 main controller, ZigBee module, speech recognition module and WiFi module. STM32 main controller uploads the home environment data collected by ZigBee node to OneNET cloud platform for real-time display through WiFi module. Users can realize remote control and voice control of ZigBee node through mobile App and voice recognition module, and realize environmental monitoring, security alarm, home appliance control and other functions. Experiments show that the smart home system has the advantages of simple operation, powerful function, low power consumption and stable communication. It achieves the purpose of remote monitoring and realizes the intelligent control of home appliances.

Abstract:Abstract With the continuous development of agricultural production technology, greenhouses have been widely used in the production of agricultural products. Temperature and humidity are important parameters in greenhouses. The real-time detection and regulation of temperature and humidity in greenhouses plays an important role in crop cultivation. This paper designs an automatic detection and alarm system for greenhouse temperature and humidity based on STM32. The system uses STM32F103C8T6 single chip core module as the microcontroller, uses temperature and humidity sensor DHT11 to obtain temperature value and humidity value, and uses LCD1602 liquid crystal module to display monitoring data and Bluetooth module. Together form a temperature and humidity detection system. Through system function testing, the system can operate stably according to the expected requirements and meet the expected requirements. Finally, an intelligent temperature and humidity monitoring and alarming system that can monitor the temperature and humidity in the greenhouse in real time is realized. The system has the advantages of good stability, high precision and convenient operation, which is of great significance for improving the monitoring and management of temperature and humidity and agricultural production.

Abstract:The traditional agricultural management mode no longer meets the needs of modern society, necessitating the development of modern agriculture. However, the limited education level in rural areas and the difficulty in popularizing complex IoT systems and internet platforms pose challenges to the development of intelligent agriculture. To address this, this paper proposes an intelligent voice greenhouse system based on a traditional STM32 single-chip microcomputer. The system utilizes various sensors to monitor environmental parameters and enable voice interactive control. This simple and practical approach promotes the use of smart agriculture, making it more accessible and easier to use. Physical testing has confirmed the effectiveness of this method, which will contribute to the development of intelligent agriculture in the future.

Abstract:Today, as the world economy and human society continue to develop, people's material living standards are getting higher and higher, and more and more technological achievements are integrated into people's production and life, with smart homes being one of them. Based on the needs of general households, a multifunctional home controller is developed using microcontroller and electronic sensing technology, with STM32 as the core. At the same time, by combining with the SmartCloud platform and using household WiFi as the main communication method, the controller is able to detect temperature, humidity, air quality of the household environment, and activate automatic opening and closing of curtains with a light sensor, as well as remote monitoring through a mobile app. Finally, the experiment verifies the low cost of development, configuration, and maintenance, as well as the convenience of use of this STM32-based multifunctional home smart controller.
