Abstract:A modified delta winglet vortex generator is designed and developed for the enhancement of heat transfer of a channel flow in a wind tunnel to prevent damage due to overheating of equipments. The modified delta winglet used in this study provided efficient control and early cooling mechanism over the conventional delta winglet which is generally used in various sectors such as aerodynamics, automobiles, electronics, and mechanics. The modified delta winglet was studied at 9000 Reynolds number for four different positions such as common flow down at downstream, common flow up at downstream, common flow down at upstream, and common flow up at upstream. The experimental results analysis depicts the highest Nusselt numbers and Colburn's factor at a configuration of CFD U . The results showed an improvement in the overall rate of heat transfer which was further analysed by the convection heat transfer coefficient value.
