Abstract:As cloud computing continues to proliferate, ensuring data security within cloud environments becomes increasingly critical. This paper explores the integration of blockchain technology as a means to enhance data security in cloud computing. Blockchain, with its decentralized and immutable ledger system, offers unique capabilities that address key security challenges such as data privacy, integrity, identity management, and compliance. Through a comprehensive analysis of blockchain's potential applications and integration strategies, this paper provides insights into how blockchain can bolster data security in cloud computing environments. Case studies and real-world implementations highlight successful integration efforts by major cloud service providers such as IBM, Microsoft, and Amazon. Additionally, this paper discusses the challenges and limitations associated with blockchain integration and explores future directions and emerging trends in the intersection of blockchain and cloud security. By leveraging blockchain technology, organizations can enhance their security posture in the cloud, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their sensitive data.

Abstract:Public Cloud Computing has become a fundamental part of modern IT infrastructure as its adoption has transformed the way businesses operate. However, cloud security concerns introduce new risks and challenges related to data protection, sharing, and access control. A synergistic integration of blockchain with the cloud holds immense potential. Blockchain's distributed ledger ensures transparency, immutability, and efficiency as it reduces the reliance on centralized authorities. Motivated by this, our framework proposes a secure data ecosystem in the cloud with the key aspects being Data Rights, Data Sharing, and Data Validation. Also, this approach aims to increase its interoperability and scalability by eliminating the need for data migration. This will ensure that existing public cloud-based systems can easily deploy blockchain enhancing trustworthiness and non-repudiation of cloud data.

Abstract:Cloud computing enables businesses to decrease the total costs by outsourcing their required services. Therefore, it provides a new challenge of data protection regarding reliability, integrity, and confidentiality because of outsourcing. As a result, cloud security is becoming a key differentiator and competitive edge between cloud providers. Nowadays, the use of blockchain in cloud computing is one of the most common innovations that can solve cloud computing security problems. Blockchain is a decentralized data management technology to provide security, anonymity, and data integrity without any third-party organization. This work presents a comprehensive study of cloud computing security concerns and blockchain solutions to address these concerns. Applying different filters and searching international databases, 21 articles from reputable journals are found and reviewed. We examine cloud security in three categories: data integration, trust, and privacy. The results show that blockchain provides a successful platform in this regard. However, security issues are one of the most important challenges that still need further study. The article also provides a roadmap framework for future research and action.

Abstract:Block chain is generic name to describe the technology used by Bitcoin and other digital currency to record and secure transaction. The user has been accessing the data on cloud storage using encryption and decryption using block chain based cyber security system. the problem for security in cloud storage because data transmission and data sharing, the alternate for security solution using Post Quantum-proof cryptography algorithm is used to improve the encryption and decryption process and more tight security for block chain technology for the cloud system. The SHA-3 512 Hash function algorithm automatically generate the key for data security enhancements of cloud networks. Post Quantum-proof cryptography algorithm has been improved the encryption Performance and reduced the power consumption, and increase the Latency performance, and boost up the security performances. Finally Post Quantum-proof cryptography algorithm for well support for security system of the cloud networks. Even some passwords, which are often cited as the weakest link in cyber security, may not be necessary.

Abstract:Cloud computing (CC) is a distributed and centralized network of interconnected and interrelated systems that has emerged as an area of incredible impact, potential, and growth in the IT domain. In the last few years, this paradigm has thrived to become the fastest evolutionary segment for business and various industries. Despite the many advantages provided by the cloud, serious challenges related to privacy and security have arisen such as privacy exposure, data loss, manipulation, service-level agreement (SLA) violation, and concerns over the service and deployment models. In this article, a blockchain-based hybrid algorithm is proposed to tackle the privacy inefficiency of existing tools. A novel hybrid technique is used to encrypt data ahead of outsourcing it to data centers, and a unique digital signature is generated at clients and stored on a decentralized set of blocks. A virtual cloud similar to actual cloud service infrastructure was built to test the proposed framework. Despite the additional computational powers needed to run the proposed framework due to blockchain integration, the results show that data integrity and reliability are preserved and user's privacy is increased. Our results are discussed and benchmarked against the standard privacy tests standards such as changes in the stored data, the negligible overheads on cloud performance, and the data records of the blockchain structure.

Abstract:Cloud computing is one of the ruling storage solutions. However, the cloud computing centralized storage method is not stable. Blockchain, on the other hand, is a decentralized cloud storage system that ensures data security. Cloud environments are vulnerable to several attacks which compromise the basic confidentiality, integrity, availability, and security of the network. This research focus on decentralized, safe data storage, high data availability, and effective use of storage resources. To properly respond to the situation of the blockchain method, we have conducted a comprehensive survey of the most recent and promising blockchain state-of-the-art methods, the P2P network for data dissemination, hash functions for data authentication, and IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) protocol for data integrity. Furthermore, we have discussed a detailed comparison of consensus algorithms of Blockchain concerning security. Also, we have discussed the future of blockchain and cloud computing. The major focus of this study is to secure the data in Cloud computing using blockchain and ease for researchers for further research work.

Abstract:Fog computing is a paradigm for distributed computing that enables sharing of resources such as computing, storage and network services. Unlike cloud computing, fog computing platforms primarily support {\em non-functional properties} such as location awareness, mobility and reduced latency. This emerging paradigm has many potential applications in domains such as smart grids, smart cities, and transport management. Most of these domains collect and monitor personal information through edge devices to offer personalized services. A {\em centralized} server either at the level of cloud or fog, has been found ineffective to provide a high degree of security and privacy-preserving services. Blockchain technology supports the development of {\em decentralized} applications designed around the principles of immutability, cryptography, consistency preserving consensus protocols and smart contracts. Hence blockchain technology has emerged as a preferred technology in recent times to build trustworthy distributed applications. The chapter describes the potential of blockchain technology to realize security services such as authentication, secured communication, availability, privacy and trust management to support the development of dependable fog services.

Abstract:The digital cloud platform is vulnerable to harmful activities; therefore, developing a security model is an important paradigm to secure the data in cloud storage. For this, several crypto algorithms have been designed but still securing the huge data using conventional cryptosystems is a difficult task. Hence, a blockchain strategy was applied to large data transactions; however, offering protection for large data has become a complicated target. Also, it demands more time duration for the encryption and decryption process. To address this issue, the current research has developed a Ring Character Hash (RCH) with Ring Elliptical Curve Cryptography (RECC) Homomorphic model. This proposed model can encrypt and decrypt large-sized files at a time. Consequently, the proposed model’s efficiency is determined by estimating the cryptanalysis property for the proposed algorithm. Finally, some important metrics of the presented model are compared with recent existing approaches thus achieving better results with less processing time and error rate.

Abstract:Access control is a major factor in enhancing data security in the cloud storage system. However, the existing data sharing and the access control method have privacy data leakage and key abuse, which is a major challenge in the research community. Therefore, an effective method named Blockchain-based access control and data sharing approach is developed in the cloud storage system to increase data security. The proposed Blockchain-based access control and data sharing approach effectively solve single-point failure in the cloud system. It provides more benefits by increasing the throughput and reducing the cost. The Data user (DU) makes the registration request using the ID and password and forwards it to the Data Owner (DO), which processes the request and authenticates the Data user. The information of the data owner is embedded in the transactional blockchain using the encrypted master key. The Data owner achieves the data encryption process, and encrypted files are uploaded to the Interplanetary File System (IPFS). Based on the encrypted file location and encrypted key, the Data owner generates the ciphertext metadata and is embedded in the transactional blockchain. The proposed Blockchain-based access control and data sharing approach achieved better performance using the metrics, like a better genuine user detection rate of 95% and lower responsiveness of 25sec with the blockchain of 100 sizes.

Abstract:Cloud computing has increased its service area and user experience above traditional platforms through virtualization and resource integration, resulting in substantial economic and societal advantages. Cloud computing is experiencing a significant security and trust dilemma, requiring a trust-enabled transaction environment. The typical cloud trust model is centralized, resulting in high maintenance costs, network congestion, and even single-point failure. Also, due to a lack of openness and traceability, trust rating findings are not universally acknowledged. "Blockchain is a novel, decentralised computing system. Its unique operational principles and record traceability assure the transaction data's integrity, undeniability, and security. So, blockchain is ideal for building a distributed and decentralised trust infrastructure. This study addresses the difficulty of transferring data and related permission policies from the cloud to the distributed file systems (DFS). Our aims include moving the data files from the cloud to the distributed file system and developing a cloud policy. Abstract:Summary Cloud computing has attracted great interest in various scientific and technical fields recently as one of the widely adopted networking technologies. Despite their many benefits and applications, it still faces many security and trust challenges, including managing and controlling services, privacy, data integrity in distributed databases, data backup, and synchronization. Moreover, due to its centralized architecture, and lack of transparency and traceability, the results of the trust assessment cannot be fully recognized by all users. However, creating a trust‐based transaction environment has become its key factor. Blockchain, with its nature of decentralization and security, can be leveraged to address these challenges and build a distributed and decentralized trust architecture, due to the underlying characteristics such as transparency, traceability, decentralization, security, immutability, and automation. This article makes a comprehensive study of how blockchain is applied to deliver security services in the cloud computing model, focusing on up‐to‐date approaches, opportunities, and future directions. This survey also discusses the benefits of the technical fusion of blockchain and cloud. It provides a classification of proposed systems based on privacy, data sharing, authentication, and access control, as well as auditing and data integrity. Finally, the main conclusions of this study will be the challenges and future directions to stimulate further research in this promising field.

Abstract:Cloud computing has made the software development process fast and flexible but on the other hand it has contributed to increasing security attacks. Employees who manage the data in cloud companies may face insider attack, affecting their reputation. They have the advantage of accessing the user data by interacting with the authentication mechanism. The primary aim of this research paper is to provide a novel secure authentication mechanism by using Blockchain technology for cloud databases. Blockchain makes it difficult to change user login credentials details in the user authentication process by an insider. The insider is not able to access the user authentication data due to the distributed ledger-based authentication scheme. Activity of insider can be traced and cannot be changed. Both insider and outsider user's are authenticated using individual IDs and signatures. Furthermore, the user access control on the cloud database is also authenticated. The algorithm and theorem of the proposed mechanism have been given to demonstrate the applicability and correctness.The proposed mechanism is tested on the Scyther formal system tool against denial of service, impersonation, offline guessing, and no replay attacks. Scyther results show that the proposed methodology is secure cum robust.

Abstract:Cloud computing is a network model of on-demand access for sharing configurable computing resource pools. Compared with conventional service architectures, cloud computing introduces new security challenges in secure service management and control, privacy protection, data integrity protection in distributed databases, data backup, and synchronization. Blockchain can be leveraged to address these challenges, partly due to the underlying characteristics such as transparency, traceability, decentralization, security, immutability, and automation. We present a comprehensive survey of how blockchain is applied to provide security services in the cloud computing model and we analyze the research trends of blockchain-related techniques in current cloud computing models. During the reviewing, we also briefly investigate how cloud computing can affect blockchain, especially about the performance improvements that cloud computing can provide for the blockchain. Our contributions include the following: (i) summarizing the possible architectures and models of the integration of blockchain and cloud computing and the roles of cloud computing in blockchain; (ii) classifying and discussing recent, relevant works based on different blockchain-based security services in the cloud computing model; (iii) simply investigating what improvements cloud computing can provide for the blockchain; (iv) introducing the current development status of the industry/major cloud providers in the direction of combining cloud and blockchain; (v) analyzing the main barriers and challenges of integrated blockchain and cloud computing systems; and (vi) providing recommendations for future research and improvement on the integration of blockchain and cloud systems.

Abstract:Due to the drawbacks of the many-to-many search model for accessing digital records in institutional settings like offices, hospitals, and government agencies, the paper proposes a searchable attribute-based cryptosystem scheme that uses the concept of blockchain technology that provides for authentication and self-validation, and can be applied to secure digital document sharing systems. By keeping the ciphertext document on the cloud, the index on the blockchain, and the smart contract handling the searching of documents, it helps lighten the cloud's computing load. Data integrity and privacy are also guaranteed by this technique, as is the veracity of the findings supplied by the cloud server. The strategy may be used to get rid of redundant information and save space in cloud storage. The concealment of access policy also ensures the privacy of its users. The security study demonstrates that the suggested system protects the privacy of user information and the secrecy of digital document data against adaptively chosen-keyword attacks. Experiments and analysis of performance show that the suggested technique improves upon previous approaches in terms of securing indexes, token generation, efficiency of searching, and verification of results; as a consequence, it is better suited for search situations where a many-to-many search approach is required. It allows for secure and efficient collaboration on electronic documents between departments and external parties.

Abstract:With the help of a shared pool of reconfigurable computing resources, clients of the cloud-based model can keep sensitive data remotely and access the apps and services it offers on-demand without having to worry about maintaining and storing it locally. To protect the privacy of the public auditing system that supports the cloud data exchange system. The data's owner has the ability to change it using the private key and publishes it in the cloud. The RSA Technique is used to produce key codes for the cloud services atmosphere's privacy utilizing the system's baseboard number, disc number, and client passcode for validation. The method is based on a cutting-edge User End Generated (UEG) privacy technique that minimizes the involvement of a third party and improves security checks by automatically documenting destructive activities. To strengthen extensibility, various authorization-assigning modalities and block access patterns were established together with current operational design approaches. In order to meet the demands for decentralization, fine-grained auditability, extensibility, flexibility, and privacy protection for multilevel data access in networked environments, the suggested approach makes use of blockchain technology. According to a thorough performance and security assessment, the current proposal is exceptionally safe and effective.

Abstract:Due to the high amount of electronic health records, hospitals have prioritized data protection. Because it uses parallel computing and is distributed, the security of the cloud cannot be guaranteed. Because of the large number of e-health records, hospitals have made data security a major concern. The cloud’s security cannot be guaranteed because it uses parallel processing and is distributed. The blockchain (BC) has been deployed in the cloud to preserve and secure medical data because it is particularly prone to security breaches and attacks such as forgery, manipulation, and privacy leaks. An overview of blockchain (BC) technology in cloud storage to improve healthcare system security can be obtained by reading this paper. First, we will look at the benefits and drawbacks of using a basic cloud storage system. After that, a brief overview of blockchain cloud storage technology will be offered. Many researches have focused on using blockchain technology in healthcare systems as a possible solution to the security concerns in healthcare, resulting in tighter and more advanced security requirements being provided. This survey could lead to a blockchain-based solution for the protection of cloud-outsourced healthcare data. Evaluation and comparison of the simulation tests of the offered blockchain technology-focused studies can demonstrate integrity verification with cloud storage and medical data, data interchange with reduced computational complexity, security, and privacy protection. Because of blockchain and IT, business warfare has emerged, and governments in the Middle East have embraced it. Thus, this research focused on the qualities that influence customers’ interest in and approval of blockchain technology in cloud storage for healthcare system security and the aspects that increase people’s knowledge of blockchain. One way to better understand how people feel about learning how to use blockchain technology in healthcare is through the United Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). A snowball sampling method was used to select respondents in an online poll to gather data about blockchain technology in Middle Eastern poor countries. A total of 443 randomly selected responses were tested using SPSS. Blockchain adoption has been shown to be influenced by anticipation, effort expectancy, social influence (SI), facilitation factors, personal innovativeness (PInn), and a perception of security risk (PSR). Blockchain adoption and acceptance were found to be influenced by anticipation, effort expectancy, social influence (SI), facilitating conditions, personal innovativeness (PInn), and perceived security risk (PSR) during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as providing an overview of current trends in the field and issues pertaining to significance and compatibility.

Abstract:Information about healthcare is derived from healthcare data. Healthcare data sharing helps make healthcare systems more efficient as well as improving healthcare quality. Patients should own and control healthcare information, one of their most valuable assets, instead of letting data be spread out among health care providers differ. This protects data from being shared between healthcare systems and privacy. Public ledger accompanied by a decentralized network of peer's compromises patient has been demonstrated to be able to achieve trusted, auditable computing by blockchain. The use of access control and cryptographic primitives are insufficient in addressing modern cyber threats all privacy and security concerns associated with a cloud-based environment. In this paper, the authors proposed a lightweight blockchain technique based on privacy and security for healthcare data for the cloud system. The cost-effectiveness of our system's smart contracts is evaluated, as well as the procedures used for data processing in order to encrypt and pseudonymize patient data.
