Abstract:Access control is a major factor in enhancing data security in the cloud storage system. However, the existing data sharing and the access control method have privacy data leakage and key abuse, which is a major challenge in the research community. Therefore, an effective method named Blockchain-based access control and data sharing approach is developed in the cloud storage system to increase data security. The proposed Blockchain-based access control and data sharing approach effectively solve single-point failure in the cloud system. It provides more benefits by increasing the throughput and reducing the cost. The Data user (DU) makes the registration request using the ID and password and forwards it to the Data Owner (DO), which processes the request and authenticates the Data user. The information of the data owner is embedded in the transactional blockchain using the encrypted master key. The Data owner achieves the data encryption process, and encrypted files are uploaded to the Interplanetary File System (IPFS). Based on the encrypted file location and encrypted key, the Data owner generates the ciphertext metadata and is embedded in the transactional blockchain. The proposed Blockchain-based access control and data sharing approach achieved better performance using the metrics, like a better genuine user detection rate of 95% and lower responsiveness of 25sec with the blockchain of 100 sizes.

Abstract:Abstract Through virtualization and resource integration, cloud computing has expanded its service area and offers a better user experience than the traditional platforms, along with its business operation model bringing huge economic and social benefits. However, a large amount of evidence shows that cloud computing is facing with serious security and trust crisis, and building a trust-enabled transaction environment has become its key factor. The traditional cloud trust model usually adopts a centralized architecture, which causes large management overhead, network congestion and even single point of failure. Furthermore, due to a lack of transparency and traceability, trust evaluation results cannot be fully recognized by all participants. Blockchain is a new and promising decentralized framework and distributed computing paradigm. Its unique features in operating rules and traceability of records ensure the integrity, undeniability and security of the transaction data. Therefore, blockchain is very suitable for constructing a distributed and decentralized trust architecture. This paper carries out a comprehensive survey on blockchain-based trust approaches in cloud computing systems. Based on a novel cloud-edge trust management framework and a double-blockchain structure based cloud transaction model, it identifies the open challenges and gives directions for future research in this field.

Abstract:Cloud computing (CC) is a distributed and centralized network of interconnected and interrelated systems that has emerged as an area of incredible impact, potential, and growth in the IT domain. In the last few years, this paradigm has thrived to become the fastest evolutionary segment for business and various industries. Despite the many advantages provided by the cloud, serious challenges related to privacy and security have arisen such as privacy exposure, data loss, manipulation, service-level agreement (SLA) violation, and concerns over the service and deployment models. In this article, a blockchain-based hybrid algorithm is proposed to tackle the privacy inefficiency of existing tools. A novel hybrid technique is used to encrypt data ahead of outsourcing it to data centers, and a unique digital signature is generated at clients and stored on a decentralized set of blocks. A virtual cloud similar to actual cloud service infrastructure was built to test the proposed framework. Despite the additional computational powers needed to run the proposed framework due to blockchain integration, the results show that data integrity and reliability are preserved and user's privacy is increased. Our results are discussed and benchmarked against the standard privacy tests standards such as changes in the stored data, the negligible overheads on cloud performance, and the data records of the blockchain structure.

Abstract:As the modern computing market experiences a surge in demand for efficient data-management solutions, challenges posed by centralized storage systems become more pronounced, especially with the proliferation of Internet of Things devices. Centralized storage, although cost-effective, faces issues of scalability, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. With decentralized storage, data are distributed across nodes, offering redundancy, data availability, and enhanced security. Unfortunately, decentralized storage introduces its own challenges, such as complex data retrieval processes, potential inconsistencies in data versions, and difficulties in ensuring data privacy and integrity in a distributed setup. Effectively managing these challenges calls for innovative techniques. In response, this paper introduces a decentralized storage system that melds cloud-native concepts with blockchain technology. The proposed design delivers enhanced scalability, data security, and privacy. When operating on a containerized edge infrastructure, this storage system provides higher data-transfer speeds than the interplanetary file system. This research thus blends the advantages of cloud-native frameworks with the security mechanisms of blockchain, crafting a storage system that addresses the present-day challenges of data management in decentralized settings.

Abstract:Public Cloud Computing has become a fundamental part of modern IT infrastructure as its adoption has transformed the way businesses operate. However, cloud security concerns introduce new risks and challenges related to data protection, sharing, and access control. A synergistic integration of blockchain with the cloud holds immense potential. Blockchain's distributed ledger ensures transparency, immutability, and efficiency as it reduces the reliance on centralized authorities. Motivated by this, our framework proposes a secure data ecosystem in the cloud with the key aspects being Data Rights, Data Sharing, and Data Validation. Also, this approach aims to increase its interoperability and scalability by eliminating the need for data migration. Abstract:Objectives: This paper addresses the problem of secure data storage and sharing over cloud storage infrastructures. A secure, distributed cloud storage structure incorporating the blockchain structure is proposed that supports confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Methods/Analysis: The proposed structure combines two well-known technologies: one of them is the Ethereum Blockchain and its Smart Contracts and the other is the RSA encryption and authentication scheme. The Ethereum Blockchain is used as a data structure, which ensures data availability and integrity while RSA provides sensitive data confidentiality and source authentication. Findings: As a result, users of the proposed structure can trust it and be certain that they can securely exchange information through a publicly accessible and shared cloud storage. The application can be used either through a user interface (UI) or a command-line interface (CLI). Novelty /Improvement:The novelty of this work is that the system that is proposed could be used for secure data storage on the cloud as well as for file sharing and authentication verification. Abstract:Summary Cloud computing has attracted great interest in various scientific and technical fields recently as one of the widely adopted networking technologies. Despite their many benefits and applications, it still faces many security and trust challenges, including managing and controlling services, privacy, data integrity in distributed databases, data backup, and synchronization. Moreover, due to its centralized architecture, and lack of transparency and traceability, the results of the trust assessment cannot be fully recognized by all users. However, creating a trust‐based transaction environment has become its key factor. Blockchain, with its nature of decentralization and security, can be leveraged to address these challenges and build a distributed and decentralized trust architecture, due to the underlying characteristics such as transparency, traceability, decentralization, security, immutability, and automation. This article makes a comprehensive study of how blockchain is applied to deliver security services in the cloud computing model, focusing on up‐to‐date approaches, opportunities, and future directions. This survey also discusses the benefits of the technical fusion of blockchain and cloud. It provides a classification of proposed systems based on privacy, data sharing, authentication, and access control, as well as auditing and data integrity. Finally, the main conclusions of this study will be the challenges and future directions to stimulate further research in this promising field.

Abstract:Cloud computing is one of the ruling storage solutions. However, the cloud computing centralized storage method is not stable. Blockchain, on the other hand, is a decentralized cloud storage system that ensures data security. Cloud environments are vulnerable to several attacks which compromise the basic confidentiality, integrity, availability, and security of the network. This research focus on decentralized, safe data storage, high data availability, and effective use of storage resources. To properly respond to the situation of the blockchain method, we have conducted a comprehensive survey of the most recent and promising blockchain state-of-the-art methods, the P2P network for data dissemination, hash functions for data authentication, and IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) protocol for data integrity. Furthermore, we have discussed a detailed comparison of consensus algorithms of Blockchain concerning security. Also, we have discussed the future of blockchain and cloud computing. The major focus of this study is to secure the data in Cloud computing using blockchain and ease for researchers for further research work.

Abstract:Cloud computing enables businesses to decrease the total costs by outsourcing their required services. Therefore, it provides a new challenge of data protection regarding reliability, integrity, and confidentiality because of outsourcing. As a result, cloud security is becoming a key differentiator and competitive edge between cloud providers. Nowadays, the use of blockchain in cloud computing is one of the most common innovations that can solve cloud computing security problems. Blockchain is a decentralized data management technology to provide security, anonymity, and data integrity without any third-party organization. This work presents a comprehensive study of cloud computing security concerns and blockchain solutions to address these concerns. Applying different filters and searching international databases, 21 articles from reputable journals are found and reviewed. We examine cloud security in three categories: data integration, trust, and privacy. The results show that blockchain provides a successful platform in this regard. However, security issues are one of the most important challenges that still need further study. The article also provides a roadmap framework for future research and action.

Abstract:Blockchain technology has been successfully applied in recent years to promote the immutability, traceability, and authenticity of previously collected and stored data. However, the amount of data stored in the blockchain is usually limited for economic and technological issues. Namely, the blockchain usually stores only a fingerprint of data, such as the hash of data, while full, raw information is stored off-chain. This is generally enough to guarantee immutability and traceability, but misses to support another important property, that is, data availability. This is particularly true when a traditional, centralized database is chosen for off-chain storage. For this reason, many proposals try to properly combine blockchain with decentralized IPFS storage. However, the storage of data on IPFS could pose some privacy problems. This paper proposes a solution that properly combines blockchain, IPFS, and encryption techniques to guarantee immutability, traceability, availability, and data privacy.

Abstract:The rise of cloud computing has transformed the way data is stored and managed, yet it has also brought about major security issues, especially concerning the secure transfer of data within cloud systems. In response to these challenges, this research develops a comprehensive cyber-security trust model that provides multi-risk protection for secure data transmission in cloud computing, ensuring the highest level of privacy and data security. This innovative approach aims to ensure the secure transmission of data in cloud computing while harnessing the combined strengths of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Advanced Encryption Algorithm. As cloud environments become integral to modern business operations, safeguarding data against a multitude of security risks, including traditional and emerging threats, is paramount. The Cyber-Security Trust Model leverages blockchain to establish a transparent and tamper-resistant ledger of all data transactions within the cloud. This blockchain layer enhances data integrity, auditability, and traceability while also providing a decentralized and trust-based framework for authentication and authorization. The Multi-Risk Protection Model incorporates both Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and a Modified Advanced Encryption Standard (MAES) to offer multi-layered defence mechanisms. Through rigorous testing and analysis, this study demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed Cyber-Security Trust Model with a Merkle tree-based solution for data integrity verification. It makes a significant impact on the field of secure data transmission in cloud computing by providing strong protection against a constantly changing set of security threats. MATLAB is employed to conduct rigorous experiments, analyse results, and validate the model's performance in various cloud computing scenarios. The findings of the proposed study show the proposed method, combining Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Modified AES (MAES), stands out with exceptional performance, featuring encryption and decryption times of 2.25ms and 1.071ms, respectively. The proposed system outperforms all others, boasting an impressive accuracy rate of 99.84%. This research signifies a ground-breaking advancement in cloud computing security, addressing a spectrum of traditional and emerging threats through a multi-risk protection model incorporating Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and MAES while demonstrating exceptional performance in rigorous experiments.

Abstract:With the features of decentralization and trustlessness and through distributed data storage, point-to-point transmission, and encryption algorithms, blockchain has shed new light on the security and protection of medical data, and it can resolve the contradiction between data sharing and privacy protection with proper security strategies. In this paper, we integrate the strengths of both blockchain and cloud computing and build the privacy protection scheme for medical data based on blockchain and cloud computing. This scheme introduces cloud computing and provides services to blockchain nodes with cloud server computing; meanwhile, it collects, analyzes, processes, and maintains medical data in the identity authentication interface and solves the insufficient computing abilities of some nodes in blockchain so as to verify the authenticity and reliability of data. The simulation experiment proves that the proposed scheme is effective. It can achieve the secure protection and integrity verification of medical data and address the problems of high computing complexity, data sharing, and privacy protection.

Abstract:Abstract: This paper introduces a ground breaking approach to web hosting, leveraging the decentralized infrastructure of the Interplanetary File System (IPFS) and the secure framework of the Ethereum blockchain. In this novel model, Ethereum smart contracts govern the IPFS network and hosting services, ensuring robust management and reliability. IPFS serves as the backbone for data storage and website hosting, with storage miner nodes providing essential pinning services to maintain the longevity of stored content. Additionally, these nodes facilitate the Interplanetary Name Space (IPNS) service, enabling the creation and maintenance of mutable links to IPFS contents, thus enhancing accessibility and ease of updates. DNS TXT records are employed to seamlessly map domain names to IPNS addresses, seamlessly integrating decentralized hosting with traditional web infrastructure. To safeguard user privacy and data integrity, websites deploy advanced encryption algorithms, ensuring confidentiality in the decentralized environment. The proposed model represents a fusion of IPFS and blockchain networks, creating a robust platform for decentralized web hosting. Through experimental validation, the efficacy of this approach is demonstrated, showcasing its ability to surpass traditional web hosting models in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The SHA-3 512 Hash function algorithm automatically generate the key for data security enhancements of cloud networks. Post Quantum-proof cryptography algorithm has been improved the encryption Performance and reduced the power consumption, and increase the Latency performance, and boost up the security performances. Finally Post Quantum-proof cryptography algorithm for well support for security system of the cloud networks. Even some passwords, which are often cited as the weakest link in cyber security, may not be necessary.

Abstract:Cloud computing is a new paradigm that provides computing, storage and networking services to end users. Data distribution for cloud computing is different from that in traditional content distribution networks in that it has a direct implication on efficiency of using cloud resources. In this paper we propose a new block-based data distribution mechanism for cloud computing. Instead of using the whole file as a unit of delivery, we divide a file into blocks to improve the efficiency. We design a scheduling algorithm to manage the delivery of blocks to all receivers. The novel aspect of the algorithm is that it can achieve constant distribution time no matter how many receivers need to get the file. We further analyze the overhead caused by dividing a file into blocks. The performance results show that our mechanism can significantly reduce the distribution time, compared with the traditional method and a non-block-based method.

Abstract:Secure and reliable management of identities has become one of the greatest challenges facing cloud computing today, mainly due to the huge number of new cloud-based applications generated by this model, which means more user accounts, passwords, and personal information to provision, monitor, and secure. Currently, identity federation is the most useful solution to overcome the aforementioned issues and simplify the user experience by allowing efficient authentication mechanisms and use of identity information from data distributed across multiple domains. However, this approach creates considerable complexity in managing trust relationships for both the cloud service providers and their clients. Poor management of trust in federated identity management systems brings with it many security, privacy and interoperability issues, which contributes to the reluctance of organizations to move their critical identity data to the cloud. In this paper, we aim to address these issues by introducing a novel trust and identity management model based on the Blockchain for cloud identity management with security and privacy improvements.

Abstract:With the help of a shared pool of reconfigurable computing resources, clients of the cloud-based model can keep sensitive data remotely and access the apps and services it offers on-demand without having to worry about maintaining and storing it locally. To protect the privacy of the public auditing system that supports the cloud data exchange system. The data's owner has the ability to change it using the private key and publishes it in the cloud. The RSA Technique is used to produce key codes for the cloud services atmosphere's privacy utilizing the system's baseboard number, disc number, and client passcode for validation. The method is based on a cutting-edge User End Generated (UEG) privacy technique that minimizes the involvement of a third party and improves security checks by automatically documenting destructive activities. To strengthen extensibility, various authorization-assigning modalities and block access patterns were established together with current operational design approaches. In order to meet the demands for decentralization, fine-grained auditability, extensibility, flexibility, and privacy protection for multilevel data access in networked environments, the suggested approach makes use of blockchain technology.
