Abstract:In this paper, we define new spaces as a generalization of the Fibonacci difference sequence spaces. Also, we establish some inclusion theorems related to these spaces and find the -, -, -duals. Lastly, we characterize some matrix classes on these spaces.

Abstract:In this study, I introduce some new double sequence spaces [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] as the domain of four-dimensional generalized difference matrix [Formula: see text] in the spaces [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], respectively. I show that the double sequence spaces [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are the Banach spaces under some certain conditions. I give some inclusion relations with some topological properties. Moreover, I determine the α-dual of the spaces [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], the [Formula: see text]-duals of the spaces [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text], and the γ-dual of the spaces [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]. Abstract:The concept of a four-dimensional generalized difference matrix and its domain on some double sequence spaces was recently introduced and studied by Tuğ and Başar (AIP Conference Proceedings, vol. 1759, 2016) and Tuğ (J. Inequal. Appl. 2017(1):149, 2017). In this present paper, as a natural continuation of (J. Inequal. Appl. 2017(1):149, 2017), we introduce new almost null and almost convergent double sequence spaces [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] as the four-dimensional generalized difference matrix [Formula: see text] domain in the spaces [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], respectively. Firstly, we prove that the spaces [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] of double sequences are Banach spaces under some certain conditions. Then we give an inclusion relation of these new almost convergent double sequence spaces. Moreover, we identify the α-dual, [Formula: see text]-dual and γ-dual of the space [Formula: see text]. Finally, we characterize some new matrix classes [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], and we complete this work with some significant results.

Abstract:The forthcoming property of this manuscript is its calculating of the goal of norms and lower bounds of matrix operators taken from the weighted sequence space lp(w) onto a novel one defined in the present article as the generalized Fibonacci weighted difference sequence space. In this process, first of all the Fibonacci difference matrix F ̃(r,s) and the space composed of sequences of which F ̃(r,s)-transforms lie in lp(w ̃), where r,s∈R are defined. Additionaly, since the seminormed space lp(w ̃,F ̃(r,s)) has the absolute homogeneous property, the topological characteristics on it are distributed symmetrically everywhere in the space.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce Fibo-Pascal sequence spaces P p F , 0 < p < ∞ , and P ∞ F through the utilization of the Fibo-Pascal matrix P F . We establish that both P p F and P ∞ F are BK -spaces, enjoying a linear isomorphism with the classical spaces l p and l ∞ , respectively. Further contributing to the depth of our investigation, we proceed to derive the Schauder basis of the space P p F , alongside an exhaustive computation of the α-, β-, and γ-duals for both spaces P p F and P ∞ F . Additionally, we undertake the task of characterizing certain classes of matrix mappings pertaining to the spaces P p F and P ∞ F . The final section of this study is dedicated to the meticulous characterization of compact operators acting in the spaces P 1 F , P p F , and P ∞ F by using Hausdorff measure of non-compactness.

Abstract:Generalized Fibonacci-like sequences appear in finite difference approximations of the Partial Differential Equations based upon replacing partial differential equations by finite difference equations. This paper studies properties of the generalized Fibonacci-like sequence F_(n+2)=A+BF_(n+1)+CF_n. It is shown that this sequence is periodic with the period T>2 if C=-1,|B|<2.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the linear space of all two-sided generalized Fibonacci sequences $\{F_n\}_{n \in \mathbb{Z}}$ that satisfy the recurrence equation of order $k$: $F_n = F_{n-1} + F_{n-2} + \dots + F_{n-k}$. We give two types of explicit formula, one is based on generalized binomial coefficients and the other based on generalized multinomial coefficients.

History and Overview

Abstract:We have studied several generalizations of Fibonacci sequences as the sequences with arbitrary initial values, the addition of two and more Fibonacci subsequences and Fibonacci polynomials with arbitrary bases. For Fibonacci numbers with congruent indices we derived general formula in terms of generalized Fibonacci polynomials and Lucas numbers. By extending Binet formula to arbitrary real numbers we constructed Binet-Fibonacci curve in complex plane. For positive numbers the curve is oscillating with exponentially vanishing amplitude, while for negative numbers it becomes Binet Fibonacci spiral. Comparison with the nautilus curve shows quite similar behavior. Areas under the curve and curvature characteristics are calculated, as well as the asymptotic of relative characteristics. Asymptotically for n going to infinity the region become, infinitely wide with infinitesimally small height so that the area has finite value $A_{\infty}=\frac{2}{5 \pi} ln(\varphi)$.

Abstract:Electronic properties of the generalized Fibonacci lattices are studied using the dynamical system technique, for which the off-diagonal tight-binding model is employed. The matrix and trace maps are obtained and investigated in a unified way. It is found that the energy spectra are Cantor-like and the wavefunctions are critical at many energies. For some systems, it is also shown that there are extended and localized wavefunctions. In addition, according to the degree of spatial extension or localization, two other types of wavefunctions are further distinguished, of which one has the tendency to be extended and the other has the tendency to be localized.

Abstract:Consider the generalized Fibonacci sequence {qn}n=0∞ having initial conditions q0=0,q1=1 and recurrence relation qn=aqn-1+qn-2 (when n is even) or qn=bqn-1+qn-2 (when n is odd), where a and b are nonzero real numbers. These sequences arise in a natural way in the study of continued fractions of quadratic irrationals and combinatorics on words or dynamical system theory. Some well-known sequences are special cases of this generalization. The Fibonacci sequence is a special case of {qn} with a=b=1. Pell’s sequence is {qn} with a=b=2 and the k-Fibonacci sequence is {qn} with a=b=k. In this article, we study numerous new properties of these sequences and investigate a sequence closely related to these sequences which can be regarded as a generalization of Lucas sequence of the first kind.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish a novel category of sequence spaces and by utlizing q -analogue of Λ-matrix. Our investigation outlines several topological characteristics and inclusion results of these newly introduced sequence spaces, specifically identifying them as BK-spaces. Subsequently, we demonstrate that these novel sequence spaces are of nonabsolute type and establish their isometric isomorphism with and . Moreover, we obtain the α -, β -, and γ -duals of these sequence spaces. We further characterize the class of matrices, where X is any of the spaces , c , or . Lastly, our study delves into the exploration of specific geometric properties exhibited by the space .

Abstract:In this paper, we present a new generalization of the Lucas numbers by matrix representation using Genaralized Lucas Polynomials. We give some properties of this new generalization and some relations between the generalized order-k Lucas numbers and generalized order-k Fibonacci numbers. In addition, we obtain Binet formula and combinatorial representation for generalized order-k Lucas numbers by using properties of generalized Fibonacci numbers.

Abstract:Fibonacci sequence, generated by summing the preceding two terms, is a classical sequence renowned for its elegant properties. In this paper, leveraging properties of generalized Fibonacci sequences and formulas for consecutive sums of equidistant subsequences, we investigate the ratio of the sum of numbers along main-diagonal and sub-diagonal of odd-order grids containing generalized Fibonacci sequences. We show that this ratio is solely dependent on the order of the grid, providing a concise and splendid identity.

Abstract:We bring the terminology of the Kunz coordinates of numerical semigroups to gapsets and we generalize this concept to m-extensions. It allows us to identify gapsets and, in general, m-extensions with tilings of boards; as a consequence, we present some applications of this identification. Moreover, we present explicit formulas for the number of gapsets with fixed genus and depth, when the multiplicity is 3 or 4, and, in some cases, for the number of gapsets with fixed genus and depth.
