Abstract:In this era of openness, educational achievement is a top priority for students at all levels; however, what worked in the past to promote accountability in face-to-face settings does not necessarily work in online environments. The need to define and incorporate best evaluation practices in online learning environments is growing as a result of the proliferation of online learning environments and the resulting continued demand for answerability. Assessment is a structured method of documenting learning by concrete data. It is used to improve all facets of student learning by assessing comprehension, skills, dispositions, and beliefs learned from instructional sequences.
