Abstract:Nowadays robots have become an indispensable part of manufacturing systems, for gripping needs manipulators are needed. Trade sector is touching industry 4.0 and asks for a much-advanced automation process. In which commercial robots play an essential role in automating the methods such as material handling, palletizing, painting, assembly lines, and numerous applications. With the increase in demand and need to have more research on engineering robots, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. A systematic design and analysis study is needed to get the best output for a specific robot. In India, there is scarcity of Indian based robot manufacturers to satisfy the rising need. Hence, there is more influence of foreign robot manufacturer in Indian markets. Due to the deficient information in robotics, robot part and resources are unavailable. More and more open source and easily access information regarding industrial robot is needed. So, this work emphasis on the developing and designing six degrees of freedom robotic arm and its kinematic analysis particularly forward and inverse kinematics. This paper gives an idea of the Denavit Hartenberg method for forward and inverse kinematics of a 6 axis KUKA KR5 Arc robot and uses RoboAnalyzer simulation software. The Robo Analyzer is simulation software that is used for design, kinematics, and dynamic analysis.

Abstract:According to the manipulation space and kinematic characteristic requirements of surgery robot, a new hybrid robot structure with redundant 8-DOF was introduced. It was composed of SCARA(PRR) serial part and a 2-DOF parallel rotation mechanism. Mathematical models of forward and inverse solutions were established to resolve the anti-kinematic analytical solution problem and the kinematic equations was obtained. Meanwhile, the workspace cloud regional distribution was worked out by the Monte Carlo Method to derive its surgical operation workspace enveloped by random points. Theoretical analysis and simulation results proved that the robot possesses a better kinematic characteristics and can meet the request of practical operation workspace.

Abstract:Robot programming is a very significant task in the field of robotics. Off-line programming (OLP) is a method performed before robot manipulation. It is the manual editing of the robot code using computer software to simulate the real robotic scenarios. Task sequence planning, short-term production, flexibility during operation and expecting real behaviour of the robots are some of the reasons that make the users prefer OLP. Operations can be visualized in many processes such as welding, cutting, even medical applications. In this study, off-line models are offered including the forward and inverse kinematics of a six Degree-Of-Freedom (DOF) serial robot manipulator (Denso VP-6242G). Robotic Toolbox combined with GUI Development Environment in Matlab® is used for the forward kinematics solution. A Matlab® Simulink model with Simmechanics blocks is used in the inverse kinematic analysis. Visualization is enriched by 3D Solidworks® models of the robot parts. Basic motion examples that can be used in many areas are presented.

Abstract:The problem of the kinematics of QJ-6R welding robot was discussed based on the kinematics equation,which was built by D-H coordination system.The robot modeling and the forward,inverse kinematics examples were simulated with the Robotics Toolbox of Matlab program language.Based on the simulation,the motion of the robot was analyzed,the curvilinear figure and the data in different coordinate were obtained.The simulation proves that all the parameters are rational and the approach is right,also it is beneficial to the research of robot dynamics,control and planning.

Abstract:Abstract The key component of versatile production processes is robots. They are found in diverse systems where it is possible to bypass and optimize human function. I simulated a remote-control trickster in MATLAB with 6 degrees of freedom in this research. A robot is used in numerous applications, such as decoration, carpentry and equipment testing. In hardware verification labs, robotic arms are used to hold passive and power rail probes that connect from instruments like scopes and power supplies to PCB boards to protect the PCB layout from rip off due to sudden movement of the probes. Robot kinematics uses the geometry (position and orientation) of rigid bodies (links) and joints to control the movement of the robot. In this project, to control its movement, I have illustrated either forward or reverse enzyme kinetics of a device. Through Kinematics uses the positions of a joint to measure the end-effector position of the robot. The angles of the joints with the end-effector position are determined by inverse kinematics as the reference. There are several methods to calculate the forward and inverse kinematics such as analytical methods, numerical hit and trial, and iterative methods.

Abstract:According to the needs of sophisticated equipment in today's industrial production process,this paper presents design and analysis of low-load industrial robot the NXD_10 industrial robots can be applied to arc welding,painting,loading and unloading,and other occasions.Using SOLIDWORKS,the virtual prototype of the design NXD_10 industrial robots,the use of the DH method,lists the parameters of the robot's six-bar linkage kinematic equations.It verifies the dynamic performance of the robot,its mechanical system structure be simplified.Using ADAMS kinematics simulation on the simplified model,draw the curve of the reference point of the end of the flange position,velocity and acceleration of movement.

Abstract:The installation of the robotic arm is based on the type of application to be carried out. On the basis of the application, the task performs by the industrial robotic arm is the command of inputs provided by the operator. The changes in the design of industrial robotic arm are associated with the changes in the parameters such as required work volume, payload capacity, link length, type of joint, degree of free- dom. The need for industries to carry out efficient work focuses on the features of the robotic arm. The main feature associated with a robotic arm is its flexibility. This paper proposes a methodology to obtain flexibility in robotic arm and its impact on the DH parameters along with velocity, acceleration, forces associated with the joint. To solve the inverse kinematics of complex robotic arm the integration is done with RoboAnalyzer software.

Abstract:This paper presents a new method to analyze the kinematics of a widely-used commercial hybrid manipulator IRB260 from the ABB Company. This manipulator includes two parallel four-bar mechanisms that make the kinematics and dynamic analysis complicated. In this paper, the rigorous analytical method is totally based on the exponential coordinate description and the screw theory. This method has created the virtual open-chain manipulator that is equivalent to the hybrid manipulator. Then the kinematics can be solved using the routine steps for the virtual open-chain manipulators. The simulation results show that this new method results in the correct kinematics of this hybrid manipulator.

Abstract:Robotics can play a significant role to increase efficiency and lighten the farmer’s load. Despite challenges in the agricultural robotic designs, robots are capable of performing various tasks and changing themselves accordingly, based on specific conditions. To address modern problems in the agricultural field, an agricultural robot is one of the key technologies. Although agricultural robotic is still in the development stage, robots have a bright future ahead. This paper proposes a new 5DOF articulated robotic arm design that would become a solution for heavy crop harvestings like pumpkin and cabbage. After the development stage, this robotic arm will be mounted on a robot tractor for real experimentation. The main design process of this robotic arm was conceived using 6 stages of Shigley design process. All components were designed, assembled and analyzed by using Solidworks 2014 in compliance with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) standards. The parts of the system that had dynamic nature were analyzed manually using standard mechanical formulas. Calculations of the workspace required joint torque, and coordination of mass center position was done by using standard machine design methods. Denavit-Hartenberg method was used to calculate forward and inverse kinematics. To resolve the torque reduction, components were designed using different materials and mass centers and comparing their performance. Results showed that total torque in Joints number 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 were 6.15, 257.35, 103.4, 20.2 and 0.1 respectively with a rotational speed range of 15 ~ 60 rpm. Changes in the linkage material and servo motor location improved 29.7% ~ 47.7% and 29.7% ~ 68.9% of the total required torque for each joint. Abstract:A traditional Selective Compliance Assembly/Articulated Robot Arm (SCARA) is a 4-DOF(RRRP) manipulator, used generally for pick and place applications where all joints are parallel to each other. In this research, a modified SCARA robot used for drilling in the horizontal as well as vertical direction has been proposed. The novelty involved in this proposed robot is that it has 5 DOF, with 4 orthogonal rotational joints and one linear joint which also acts as the end effector, enabling it to perform drilling tasks in various orientations and positions. This added flexibility makes it suitable for a wider range of applications in industries such as manufacturing and construction. The orthogonal rotational joints provide a wider work envelope to the robot. The robot is modelled and simulated through CAD packages. The rigid body analysis to determine and simulate the real-time motion of the manipulator. The kinematic analysis is done with the help of mathematical programming.

Abstract:Kinematics is the mechanics branch which dealswith the movement of the bodies without taking the force into account. In robots, the forward kinematics and inverse kinematics are important in determining the position and orientation of the end-effector to perform multi-tasks. This paper presented the inverse kinematics analysis for a 5 DOF robotic arm using the robotics toolbox of MATLAB and the Denavit-Hartenberg (D-H) parameters were used to represent the links and joints of the robotic arm. A geometric approach was used in the inverse kinematics solution to determine the joints angles of the robotic arm and the path of the robotic arm was divided into successive lines to accomplish the required tasks of the robotic arm.Therefore, this method can be adopted for engineering applications. MATLAB (Graphical User Interface) program was used to simulate the movement of the robotic arm in 3D. Also, MATLAB (GUI) has been used to view the position of each joint.The results showed thatthe maximum error in the x, y, and z coordinates of the end-effector were 0.0251 %, 0.0239 %, and 0.1085 % respectively.

Abstract:Aiming at the limitations of the traditional SCARA robot, a novel SCARA robot is designed which improved the structure of end-effector to improve the dexterity of traditional mechanism.The kinematics model of the proposed mechanism is established based on screw theory,the forward kinematics of the robot is calculated,and the relationship between joint motions and terminal positions of the end-effector is obtained.On this basis, the workspace of end-effector is predicted with the constrained of the length of each parts and the range of motions of the each joints.Finally,based on the simulation software ADAMS,the virtual prototype of the novel SCARA robot was established to explore the operation path in specific moving regions.It is proved that the robot can enhance the dexterity of traditional institutions by contrasting the workspaces between the novel SCARA robot and traditional SCARA robot.The range of the precise manipulation is resolved.The proposed robot can solve the problems of the multi angle operation and provide a reference for the complex operation in industrial production.

Abstract:Abstract One of the most challenging areas in robot design is its kinematic analysis for proper and efficient path planning. In agricultural robots, this study is even more crucial due to the uneven terrain and unstructured environment. In agricultural robots, work has been done on fruit harvesting robots yet its commercial recognition is still underway. Further research needs to be done in this field to make the fruit harvesting robots more commercially acceptable. In this paper, a 6 degree of freedom (DOF) orange harvesting robot is designed and its kinematic analysis is done. Forward kinematic is done using Denavit-Hartenberg (DH) parameters while the inverse kinematics is done using algebraic method. The calculated formulas are verified by simulation on RoboAnalyzer software. The algorithm for inverse kinematics using probabilistic approach did not generate any error and worked successfully generating 16 results within the workspace. The simulated dynamic results also supported the kinematic model. The kinematic study validates the model design and calculations, whereas, its simulation verifies the path planning and reachability of oranges on the trees within the confined workspace.

Abstract:Accuracy is an important factor to consider when evaluating the performance of a manipulator. The accuracy of a manipulator is determined by its ability to accurately move and position objects in a precise manner. This research paper aims to evaluate the performance of different methods for the kinematic analysis of manipulators. The study employs four distinct techniques, namely mathematical modeling using the closed form solutions method, roboanalyzer, Peter Corke toolbox, and particle swarm optimization, to perform kinematic analysis for manipulators. The KUKA industrial manipulator is used as an illustrative case study in this research due to its widespread use in various industrial applications in addition to its high precision and stability. Its wide usage in the industry makes the results of this research highly relevant and allows for a thorough evaluation of the performance of the different methods being studied. Furthermore, understanding the kinematic analysis of the manipulator can also help in improving the performance and increasing the efficiency of the robot in different tasks. This paper conducts a comparison of the accuracy of the four methods, and the results indicate that particle swarm optimization is the most accurate method. The RoboAnalyzer approach achieved the fastest execution time.

Abstract:The six axis robots are widely used in automotive industry for their good repeatability (as defined in the ISO92983) (painting, welding, mastic deposition, handling etc.). In the aerospace industry, robot starts to be used for complex applications such as drilling, riveting, fiber placement, NDT, etc. Given the positioning performance of serial robots, precision applications require usually external measurement device with complexes calibration procedure in order to reach the precision needed. New applications in the machining field of composite material (aerospace, naval, or wind turbine for example) intend to use off line programming of serial robot without the use of calibration or external measurement device. For those applications, the position, orientation and path trajectory precision of the tool center point of the robot are needed to generate the machining operation. This article presents the different conditions that currently limit the development of robots in robotic machining applications. We analyze the dynamical behavior of a robot KUKA KR240-2 (located at the University of Bordeaux 1) equipped with a HSM Spindle (42000 rpm, 18kW). This analysis is done in three stages. The first step is determining the self-excited frequencies of the robot structure for three different configurations of work. The second phase aims to analyze the dynamical vibration of the structure as the spindle is activated without cutting. The third stage consists of vibration analysis during a milling operation.
Complete Analytical Forward and Inverse Kinematics for the NAO Humanoid Robot

Abstract:The design of complex dynamic motions for humanoid robots is achievable only through the use of robot kinematics. In this paper, we study the problems of forward and inverse kinematics for the Aldebaran NAO humanoid robot and present a complete, exact, analytical solution to both problems, including a software library implementation for real-time on-board execution. The forward kinematics allow NAO developers to map any configuration of the robot from its own joint space to the three-dimensional physical space, whereas the inverse kinematics provide closed-form solutions to finding joint configurations that drive the end effectors of the robot to desired target positions in the three-dimensional physical space. The proposed solution was made feasible through a decomposition into five independent problems (head, two arms, two legs), the use of the Denavit-Hartenberg method, the analytical solution of a non-linear system of equations, and the exploitation of body and joint symmetries. The main advantage of the proposed inverse kinematics solution compared to existing approaches is its accuracy, its efficiency, and the elimination of singularities. In addition, we suggest a generic guideline for solving the inverse kinematics problem for other humanoid robots. The implemented, freely-available, NAO kinematics library, which additionally offers center-of-mass calculations and Jacobian inverse kinematics, is demonstrated in three motion design tasks: basic center-of-mass balancing, pointing to a moving ball, and human-guided balancing on two legs.

Abstract:Abstract Parallel mechanisms are increasingly being used as modular subsystem units in various robots and man-machine interfaces for their superior stiffness, payload-to-weight ratio and dynamic properties. This leads to series-parallel hybrid robotic systems which are difficult to model and control due to the presence of various closed loops. Most model based kinematic and dynamic modeling tools resolve loop closure constraints numerically and hence suffer from inefficiency and accuracy issues. Also, they do not exploit the modularity in robot design. In this paper, we present a modular and analytical approach towards kinematic and dynamic modeling of series-parallel hybrid robots. This approach has been implemented in a software framework called Hybrid Robot Dynamics (HyRoDyn) and its application is demonstrated with the help of a series-parallel hybrid humanoid robot recently developed at DFKI-RIC.

Abstract:Abstract At present, with the development of the times and technology, in order to meet the needs of industrial production, robots have begun to be widely used in factories. Although the production efficiency of the robot is very high and relatively cheap compared to the labor cost, when an industrial robot fails, it will have a serious impact on the production capacity of the entire production line. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor various data of the robot. If some abnormal data can be found, it can perform effective predictive maintenance on the robot. This article mainly proposes a method for various data acquisition of ABB robots. The data acquisition interface is developed using C# and the dynamic link library is called. The data of ABB robots can be read in real time. It can realize real-time monitoring of each data of the robot.

Abstract:The Baxter® humanoid robot made by Rethink Robotics ™ offers users an affordable platform with guaranteed safety for both academic and industrial applications. The platform provides the users a good opportunity to carry out research on dual-arm robot manipulation and vision based control. For simulation of the Baxter® robot, a proper kinematic and dynamic model should be built. The Baxter robot uses URDF file to describe the robot kinematics, i.e., the relationship between adjacent joint and link. Consider the large difference between the structure of URDF and the conventional Denavit-Rartenburg(DR) notations which are widely used in robotics literature, we perform rigorous theoretic analysis of kinematics of Baxter® robot including all limbs. A kinematics model has been built following DH convention, and has been implemented in the MATLAB Robotics Toolbox. Extensive comparison between simulation and experimental results has verified the validity of the kinematic model.
