Abstract:Commercial dentin adhesive systems are applied to restorations due to their resistant bonding properties, but they suffer from the lack of bioactivity and are prone to hydrolysis. Therefore, to overcome these limitations, an eco-friendly natural monomer, urushiol, was adopted to be a primer in dentin bonding due to its interaction with collagen and antibacterial activity, preventing further hydrolysis development. First, urushiol was determined to be capable of improving the biological stability of dentin collagen through cross-linking. Using high-fidelity analytical chemistry techniques, such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, we quantified the effects of urushiol on collagen molecules. It could also effectively decrease weight loss after collagenase ingestion by improving the stability of dentin. Moreover, urushiol inhibited Streptococcus mutans growth as well as its biofilm formation. Finally, we demonstrated that the urushiol primer could improve the bonding strength, particularly after aging. The cross-linking and antibacterial functions of urushiol have provided promising developmental prospects for biomaterials in dentin adhesion.

Abstract:Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of urushiol as an additive to surface acid etchant on dentin structure, by assessing the biostability of dentin, and determine the bonding strengths of dentin and enamel to the composite in the complicated oral microecology. Methods: Etchants with different concentrations of urushiol (0.5, 1, or 3 wt%) were formulated and tested for their bonding performance. Demineralized dentin beams that were etched with experimental etchants were incubated in simulated body fluid solutions by evaluating the weight decrement after 1 month. The effects of urushiol on dentin and matrix metalloproteinases were confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Moreover, the antibiotic actions of urushiol on the common cariogenic bacteria Streptococcus mutans , Streptococcus sanguinis , and Streptococcus gordonii as well as the biofilm were evaluated, and its effect on bacterial morphology was observed by scanning electron microscopy. Finally, enamel and dentin specimens were prepared from human molars to determine the depth of demineralization by the etchants and the relationship with the resin bond strengths to enamel and dentin (μTBS) and the morphology of the bonding interface. Results: Urushiol could interact with dentine and inhibit collagenase activity, resulting in biostable dentine. The application of the etchants containing 0.5, 1, or 3 wt% urushiol significantly improved the durability of the dentin bonding interface with its instinctive antibacterial property ( p < 0.05). Conclusion: Urushiol not only improves dentin stability by interacting with collagen and inactivating MMP activity but also plays a role in the antibacterial effects in the complicated oral microecology. The effectiveness of urushiol etchant prolongs the longevity of bonded dental restorations without compromising clinical operation time.

Abstract:Objectives: The low durability of composite resin restorations can be attributed to the degradation of the resin dentin bonding interface. Owing to the presence of hydrophilic components in the adhesive, the integrity of the resin dentin bonding interface is easily compromised, which, in turn, leads to a reduction in bond strength. The hydrophilic nature of the adhesive leads to water sorption, phase separation, and leaching of the resin component. Therefore, hydrophobic adhesives could effectively be used to stabilize the integrity and durability of the resin dentin bonding interface. Methods: We synthesized a novel hydrophobic dentin adhesive by partially replacing bisphenol A glycidyl dimethacrylate (Bis-GMA) with a light-curable urushiol monomer. The properties of the produced adhesive, including the degree of conversion, viscosity, contact angle, water sorption/solubility, and mechanical strength, were comprehensively examined and compared to those of the commercially adhesive Adper Single Bond2 as a positive control. The adhesive properties were determined using microtensile bond strength measurements, laser confocal microscopy, scanning electron microscopy observations, and nanoleakage tests. Finally, the novel adhesive was subjected to biocompatibility testing to determine its potential cytotoxicity. Results: At a light-curable urushiol content of 20 %, the synthesized adhesive exhibited high degrees of conversion and hydrophobicity, low cytotoxicity, good mechanical properties, and outstanding adhesive strength. Conclusions: The introduction of the light-curable urushiol into dentin adhesives can significantly enhance their hydrophobic, mechanical, and bonding properties, demonstrating potential to significantly improve restoration longevity. Clinical significance: The integration of light-curable urushiol has endowed the experimental adhesives with several enhanced functionalities. These notable benefits underscore the suitability of this monomer for expanded applications in clinical practice.
Refactoring Phosphorylated Hydrogel-Like Interface of Demineralized Dentin Matrix Via Actively Induced Formation of Nano-Acps Forms a Defect-Low Hybrid Layer Promoting Adhesive Dentistry

Abstract:Durability problem of dentin bonding originated from defective bonding interfaces caused by inadequate infil-tration of adhesives into demineralized dentin matrix (DDM) is one of the biggest chanllenges in clinical dentistry, while the scientific mechanism remains unclear. We propose that due to poor physical compatibility, the DDM hydrogel-like interface formed by phosphorylated non-collagenous-proteins can be the primary cause of inadequate infiltration of adhesive containing high-content hydrophobic marcromonomers and the formation of numerous defects in the DDM-cured adhesive interface phase. To test this assumption, we develop a novel bonding strategy based on the hydrogel-like interface dehydrogelation refactoring via actively inducing in situ formation of numerous amorphous calcium phosphate nanoparticles within 30 s. The easy-to-collapse DDM is remolded into a robust porous hybrid structure of low polarity. Irrespective of using a wet or dry DDM, the improved physical compatibility between the DDM interface and adhesives greatly promotes infiltration of various adhesives and the integration of the DDM-cured adhesive interface phase. The resulting defect-low bonding interface greatly improves bonding strength and stability indicating the central role of this long -neglected hydrogel-like DDM interface in the problems associated with dentin bonding, which enriches the theory of adhesive dentistry. Free from hard-to-get advanced adhesive materials and sophisticated operations, accessibility and homogeneity of high-quality dentin bonding may benefit clinical dentistry.
Assessing the impact of different Urushiol primer solvents on dentin remineralization and bond strength

Abstract:Objectives: To investigate urushiol's potential as a dentin cross-linking agent, promoting remineralization of etched dentin and preventing activation of endogenous proteases causing collagen degradation within the hybrid layer. The goal is to improve bond strength and durability at the resin-dentin interface. Methods: Urushiol primers with varying concentrations were prepared using ethanol and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as solvents. Dentin from healthy molars underwent grinding and acid etching for 15 s, followed by a 1min application of urushiol primer. After 14 and 28 days of remineralization incubation and remineralization were used to assess by Attenuated Total Reflection Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), Micro-Raman spectroscopy, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Vickers Hardness, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy X-ray dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The overall performance of urushiol primers as dentin adhesives was observed by microtensile bond strength (μTBS) testing and nanoleakage assessment. Investigated the inhibitory properties of the urushiol primers on endogenous metalloproteinases (MMPs) utilizing in situ zymography, and the cytotoxicity of the primers was tested. Results: Based on ATR-FTIR, Raman, XRD, EM-EDS and Vickers hardness analyses, the 0.7%-Ethanol group significantly enhanced dentin mineral content and improved mechanical properties the most. Pretreatment notably increased the μTBS of restorations, promoted the stability of the mixed layer, and reduced nanoleakage and MMPs activity after 28 days. Significance: The urushiol primer facilitates remineralization in demineralized dentin, enhancing remineralization in etched dentin, effectively improving the bonding interface stability, with optimal performance observed at a 0.7 wt% concentration of the urushiol primer.

Abstract:Journal of Dental Research, Ahead of Print. The water-rich nature of the dentin bonding microenvironment, coupled with the stresses on the bonding interface, contributes to the hydrolytic degradation of the hybrid layer, resulting in a decline in bonding durability and, ultimately, restoration failure. Currently, the 3-step etch-and-rinse technique remains the gold standard for dentin bonding, and the bonding mechanism mainly involves a physical interaction with little chemical bonding. In this study, we have developed a siloxane-modified polyurethane monomer (SPU) with acrylate and siloxane modifications that chemically binds to both collagen and hydroxyapatite in dentin. Formulated as a bisphenol A-glycidyl methacrylate alternative, the SPU monomer-based adhesive was designed to improve dentin bonding quality and durability. Attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscope, and hydroxyproline release assays were performed on SPU-treated collagen, hydroxyapatite, and acid-etched dentin slices to dentin. The physicochemical properties of the configured SPU adhesives were profiled for polymerization behavior, water contact angle, and tensile strain and strength. The bonding effectiveness was assessed through micro-tensile strength, nano-leakage tests conducted on the bonded samples before and after thermal cycle aging. Finally, we further conducted in vivo and in vitro experiments to assess the biocompatibility of adhesives. The results showed that the siloxane groups of SPU monomer could covalently bind to dentin collagen and hydroxyapatite. The incorporation of SPU in the adhesive led to a significant increase in adhesive polymerization (P < 0.05) and tensile strain at break up to 134.11%. Furthermore, the SPU adhesive significantly improved dentin bond strength (P < 0.05), reduced interfacial nano-leakage (P < 0.05), and displayed good biocompatibility. In conclusion, the application of SPU, which achieves dual chemical bonding with dentin, can improve the quality of the hybrid layer, buffer the interfacial stresses, enhance the interfacial resistance to hydrolysis, and provide a feasible strategy to extend the service life of adhesive restorations.

Abstract:It is of great significance yet challenging to develop functional polymer coatings possessing highly efficient self-healing performances and robust mechanical properties simultaneously. To this end, a novel strategy was proposed for the fabrication of self-healing urushiol-based coatings based on Diels-Alder (DA) bond. Natural urushiol was firstly modified by using epichlorohydrin and furfuryl alcohol, and then crosslinked by N,N′-(4,4′-methylenediphenyl) dimaleimide (BMI) via DA bond to obtain the thermally reversible and self-healing bio-based coating. The synthesized products were characterized, and their thermostabilities, physico-mechanical properties, thermal reversible and self-healing performances were investigated in detail. The results showed that the ratio of urushiol furan derivative to bismaleimide had a significant effect on the studied properties of the self-healing coatings. The self-healing efficiency, hardness, contact angle of the as-prepared coating after formulation optimization can reach 83.22 %, 5H and 109.6°, respectively. This work suggested that natural urushiol was a kind of potential excellent raw material for preparing self-healing coating, and also provided a simple and efficient way to fabricate bio-based self-healing coatings with robust hardness and good hydrophobic characteristic.

Development of Novel Polymerizable Antibacterial Monomer and Its Antibacterial Effects on Dental Adhesive

Abstract:The object of the present study was to Functionalize adhesive system with antibacterial activity without interfering the bonding effect, to kill bacteria residue on cavity and prevent bacteria from colonization on the margins of bonding. The fluorine -containing imidazolium salt antibacterial monomer was synthesized by the combination reaction of 1-chlorododecane and 1-vinylimidazole, and the replacement reaction to introduce fluoride ion. The synthesized intermediate product and final product were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Fluoride ion was introduced into the bonding system in the form of organic fluorine, and the release behavior of fluoride ion from the functionalized adhesive was studied. The antibacterial experiment showed that the functionalized adhesive was endowed with good antibacterial property, which realized targeted anti -caries ability. The bond strength test indicated that the functionalization with the fluorine -containing imidazolium salt monomer did not affect the bonding performance of the adhesive. These results suggested that adhesive functionalized with the fluorine -containing imidazolium salt monomer had potential for reducing the occurrence of clinical secondary caries.
Isocyanate-terminated urethane-based dental adhesive bridges dentinal matrix collagen with adhesive resin

Abstract:Commercially available dental adhesives fail to chemically unite the demineralized collagen matrix with resinous materials within the resin-dentin interface. Sub-micron separations between the collagen fibrils and polymerized resin provide the backdrop for bond deterioration. Here, novel isocyanate-terminated urethane methacrylate precursors (UMP) were synthesized with the capacity to bond chemically to dentin collagen via covalent and hydrogen bonds. Collagen grafted with UMP also copolymerized with other methacrylate resin monomers, thereby producing a monoblock of chemically-linked biocomposite. The viscosity, degree of conversion and biocompatibility of UMP are comparable with commercially available resin monomers. An experimental adhesive containing 40% UMP demonstrated co-polymerization capability, good infiltration capacity and achieved higher immediate bond strength to dentin than the control commercially available adhesive. Improvement of dentin bonding by incorporation of UMP into dentin adhesives justifies future evaluation of the potential of these UMP-based adhesives in extending the longevity of resin-dentin bonds. STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: Composite-adhesive restorations have become an indispensable treatment modality in contemporary restorative dentistry. While the inability of these adhesives to bond chemically with collagen undermines the bond quality. This study describes a novel isocyanate-terminated urethane multi methacrylate precursors (UMP) which can bridge dentinal matrix collagen with adhesive resin by covalent and hydrogen bonds. Furthermore, an experimental UMP-based adhesive shows better co-polymerization capability, good infiltration capacity and higher immediate bond strength than the putatively effective adhesive Single Bond 2. The new chemical bonding mechanism based on UMP would theoretically produce more stable bonding interface that are more resistant to degradation.

Abstract:Within the realm of dental material innovation, this study pioneers the incorporation of tung oil into polyurea coatings, setting a new precedent for enhancing self-healing functionality and durability. Originating from an ancient practice, tung oil is distinguished by its outstanding water resistance and microbial barrier efficacy. By synergizing it with polyurea, we developed coatings that unite mechanical strength with biological compatibility. The study notably quantifies self-healing efficiency, highlighting the coatings' exceptional capacity to mend physical damages and thwart microbial incursions. Findings confirm that tung oil markedly enhances the self-repair capabilities of polyurea, leading to improved wear resistance and the inhibition of microbial growth, particularly against Streptococcus mutans, a principal dental caries pathogen. These advancements not only signify a leap forward in dental material science but also suggest a potential redefinition of dental restorative practices aimed at prolonging the lifespan of restorations and optimizing patient outcomes. Although this study lays a substantial foundation for the utilization of natural oils in the development of medical-grade materials, it also identifies the critical need for comprehensive cytotoxicity assays. Such evaluations are essential to thoroughly assess the biocompatibility and the safety profile of these innovative materials for clinical application. Future research will concentrate on this aspect, ensuring that the safety and efficacy of the materials align with clinical expectations for dental restorations.

Abstract:In this study, lacquer was gathered from a lacquer tree and rotary evaporation was used to remove laccase, water, gum, and nitrogen‐containing impurities to obtain urushiol. Next, 10 mL of anhydrous ethanol served as the solvent for blending polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) at a specified content (0.7 g and 0.2‐0.7 g urushiol) to form an electrospinning solution. Electrospinning was carried out with a voltage of 18 kV to prepare PVP/urushiol nanofibrous membranes. At a ratio of 7/4, the PVP/urushiol nanofibrous membranes were not eroded in 98% sulfuric acid and these membranes also demonstrated a 50–60% antibacterial effect against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Moreover, the antibacterial effect could be boosted to 98% with the incorporation of zinc ions. The results indicate that anhydrous ethanol can remove the sensitization of urushiol from PVP/urushiol membranes. Furthermore, animal test results indicated that when rats were in contact with PVP/urushiol anhydrous ethanol for 48 h, their skins were free from dark brown skin allergy. The presence of PVP eliminated the sensitization of urushiol, and the nanofibrous membranes demonstrated low toxicity. Hence, urushiol is the only natural material that enables PVP to withstand 98% sulfuric acid as well as acquire hydrolyzability, thereby qualify PVP as a medical material. Abstract:Dentin hypersensitivity (DH) is a prevalent dental condition arising from the exposure of dentin tubules (DTs), leading to discomfort upon external stimuli. However, achieving swift and profound occlusion of these exposed DTs for immediate and enduring relief remains challenging due to the intricate dentin structure and oral environment. Herein, we propose a pioneering and facile drop‐by‐drop strategy involving an in‐situ generated natural supramolecular hydrogel formed by self‐assembling silk fibroin (SF) and tannic acid (TA) within the narrow DT space. When SF and TA aqueous solutions are applied successively to exposed dentin, they penetrate deeply within DTs and co‐assemble into compact gels, robustly adhering to DT walls. This yields a rapid and compact occlusion effect with an unprecedented depth exceeding 250 μm, maintaining stable occlusion efficacy even under rigorous in vitro and in vivo erosion and friction conditions for no less than 21 d. Furthermore, the biocompatibility and effective occlusion properties are verified through cell studies in simulated oral settings and an in vivo rabbit model. This study, for the first time, demonstrates the translational potential of hydrogel‐based desensitizers in treating DH with prompt action, superior occlusion depth and enduring treatment benefits, holding promise as clinical‐friendly restorative solutions for delicate‐structured biosystems. Abstract:Numerous approaches have been developed to improve the resin-dentin bond performance, among which the bio-application of mussel-derived compounds have drawn great attention recently. To assess the performance of N-(3,4-dihydroxyphenethyl)methacrylamide (DMA), a mussel-derived compound, as a functional monomer in dental adhesive, its potential property to cross-link with dentin collagen and polymerize with adhesive will first be evaluated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), attenuated total reflectance technique of Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) via Peakforce QNM mode. After validating the influence of DMA on collagen and adhesive separately, the overall performance of DMA/ethanol solution as a primer in dentin bonding was examined using micro-tensile bond strength (μTBS) testing, fracture pattern observation, and nanoleakage evaluation both immediately and after 10,000 times thermocycling aging. The inhibitory effect of DMA on endogenous metalloproteinases (MMPs) was evaluated by in situ zymography using confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) and the cytotoxicity of DMA was evaluated using cell counting kit-8. Results demonstrated that DMA successfully cross-linked with dentin collagen via non-covalent bonds and had no influence on the polymerization and mechanical properties of the adhesive. Furthermore, even after 10,000 times thermocycling aging, the μTBS and nanoleakage expression of the DMA-treated groups showed no significant change compared with their immediate values. In situ zymography revealed reduced endogenous proteolytic activities after the application of DMA, and no cytotoxicity effect was observed for DMA concentration up to 25 μmol/L. Performance Enhancement of Polyurethane Acrylate Resin by Urushiol: Rheological and Kinetic Studies

Abstract:A natural extract, i.e., urushiol, was employed to effectively cross-link and modify commercial wet-cured polyurethane acrylic resin. Comprehensive characterization of the paint film was performed using techniques such as FTIR, SEM, and TGA. The results indicated that the incorporation of urushiol significantly increased the cross-linking density of the resin, which in turn enhanced the film-forming properties, mechanical strength, and thermal stability of the paint film. Additionally, the study discovered that under isothermal conditions, the dynamic moduli (G′ and G′′) of the paint film are related to the gel point frequency by a power law, aligning with the predictions of percolation theory. The application of the autocatalytic model has provided a novel approach to studying non-isothermal kinetic reactions, offering valuable insights for process optimization and further development of urushiol-based polyurethane.

Abstract:This study presents a novel approach to enhancing the longevity and efficacy of dental materials through the incorporation of Tung oil into polyurea microcapsule coatings. Tung oil is renowned for its superior moisture barrier and antimicrobial properties, and when merged with the durable nature of polyurea, it creates a coating poised to substantially improve self-healing capabilities in dental applications. Focusing on the dual objectives of mechanical fortitude and biocompatibility, this research meticulously evaluates the coatings' proficiency in withstanding the rigors of the oral environment and their compatibility with oral tissues. Employing a suite of bioassays, we meticulously assess the toxicity and antibiofilm characteristics of these coatings, in addition to their self-healing efficiency. These evaluations measure the coatings' ability to autonomously repair physical damage and counteract microbial colonization. The results reveal that tung oil significantly enhances the polyurea matrix's intrinsic self-repair features, which proves crucial in resisting the abrasive and microbial challenges prevalent in the oral cavity. The modified coatings demonstrate marked improvements in wear resistance and microbial interaction, heralding a significant advancement in dental material technology. This in-depth analysis corroborates the amplified capabilities of Tung oil-infused polyurea coatings and paves the way for future investigations into the integration of natural oils within medical-grade material design, opening a new chapter in the synthesis of biomaterials tailored for oral healthcare advancements.

Abstract:The leading cause of composite restoration failure is secondary caries, and although caries is a multifactorial problem, weak, damage-prone adhesives play a pivotal role in the high susceptibility of composite restorations to secondary caries. Our group has developed synthetic resins that capitalize on free-radical polymerization and sol-gel reactions to provide dental adhesives with enhanced properties. The resins contain γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) as the Si-based compound. This study investigated the properties of methacrylate-based resins containing methacryloxymethyltrimethoxysilane (MMeS) as a short-chain alternative. The degree of conversion (DC), polymerization kinetics, water sorption, mechanical properties, and leachates of MMeS- and MPS-resins with 55 and 30 wt% BisGMA-crosslinker were determined. The formulations were used as model adhesives, and the adhesive/dentin (a/d) interfaces were analyzed using chemometrics-assisted micro-Raman spectroscopy. The properties of the 55 wt% formulations were comparable. In the 30 wt% BisGMA formulations, the MMeS-resin exhibited faster polymerization, lower DC, reduced leachates, and increased storage and loss moduli, glass transition (Tg), crosslink density, and heterogeneity. The spectroscopic results indicated a comparable spatial distribution of resin, mineralized, and demineralized dentin across the a/d interfaces. The hydrolytically stable experimental short-chain-silane-monomer dental adhesive provides enhanced mechanical properties through autonomous strengthening and offers a promising strategy for the development of restorative dental materials with extended service life.
Urushiol oligomer preparation and evaluations of their antibacterial, antioxidant, and thermal stability

Abstract:There have been studies published on the composition and coating uses of raw lacquers following enzymatic oxidative polymerization. The change of urushiol' thermal stability and biological activity following polymerization to create oligomer, however, has received little attention. This work using silica gel column chromatography to separate urushiol and urushiol oligomer from polymerized raw lacquer and assessed its antibacterial, antioxidant, and thermal stability in an effort to decrease the allergenicity of urushiol and increase its application. By using gel chromatography, the urushiol oligomer were discovered to be polymers with 2–5 degrees of polymerization. According to characterization results from techniques like UV, FT-IR, and 1 H NMR, urushiol was converted into urushiol oligomer by addition reactions, and C–C coupling. The findings demonstrated that the urushiol oligomer' IC 50 values for scavenging DPPH and ABTS free radicals were 40.8 and 27.4 μg/mL, respectively, and that their minimum inhibitory concentrations against Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis were 250 and 125 μg/mL. The urushiol oligomer's thermogravimetric differential curve peak temperature (461.8 °C) was higher than urushiol's (239.5 °C), indicating that urushiol undergoes polymerization with enhanced thermal stability. The study's findings establish a foundation for the use of polymerized urushiol and urushiol oligomer in applications including functional materials and additives.

Abstract:Zinc‐containing polydopamine‐based Zn–PDA@SiO2 dental adhesives exhibit a highly efficient and durable dentin bonding. Antibacterial and anti‐enzymatic activities and superior biosafety are remarkably produced by the synergistic action of Zn and PDA in vitro/vivo. As verified by theoretical simulations, enhanced dentin bonding is achieved through the formation of covalent bonds, Zn‐assisted coordinative bonds, and hydrogen bonds between the PDA and collagen. Dental adhesives are widely used in daily practice for minimally invasive restorative dentistry but suffer from bond degradation and biofilm attack. Bio‐inspired by marine mussels having excellent surface‐adhesion capability and high chemical affinity of polydopamine (PDA) to metal ions, herein, experimental zinc (Zn)‐containing polydopamine‐based adhesive formulation, further being referred to as "Zn–PDA@SiO2"‐incorporated adhesive is proposed as a novel dental adhesive. Different Zn contents (5 and 10 mm) of Zn–PDA@SiO2 are prepared. Considering the synergistic effect of Zn and PDA, Zn–PDA@SiO2 not only presents excellent antibacterial potential and notably inhibits enzymatic activity (soluble and matrix‐bound proteases), but also exhibits superior biocompatibility and biosafety in vitro/vivo. The long‐term bond stability is substantially improved by adding 5 wt% 5 mm Zn–PDA@SiO2 to the primer. The aged bond strength of the experimentally formulated dental adhesives applied in self‐etch (SE) bonding mode is 1.9 times higher than that of the SE gold‐standard adhesive. Molecular dynamics calculations indicate the stable formation of covalent bonds, Zn‐assisted coordinative bonds, and hydrogen bonds between PDA and collagen. Overall, this bioinspired dental adhesive provides an avenue technology for innovative biomedical applications and has already revealed promising perspectives for dental restorative dentistry.
