Abstract:In this paper, the author solves the long term open problem of Kerzman on sup-norm estimate for Cauchy-Riemann equation on polydisc in $n$-dimensional complex space. The problem has been open since 1971. He also extends and solves the problem on a bounded product domain $\Omega^n$, where $\Omega$ is any bounded domain in $\mathbb{C}$ with $C^{1,\alpha}$ boundary for some $\alpha>0$.

Abstract:Let $\Omega$ be a product domain in $\mathbb C^n, n\ge 2$, where each slice has smooth boundary. We observe that the canonical solution operator for the $\bar\partial$ equation on $\Omega$ is bounded in $W^{k,p}(\Omega)$, $k\in \mathbb Z^+, 1<p<\infty$. This Sobolev regularity is sharp in view of Kerzman-type examples.

Abstract:The note concerns the $\bar\partial$ problem on product domains in $\mathbb C^2$. We show that there exists a bounded solution operator from $C^{k, \alpha}$ into itself, $k\in \mathbb Z^+\cup \{0\}, 0<\alpha< 1$. The regularity result is optimal in view of an example of Stein-Kerzman.

Abstract:By using the Cauchy-Fantappie machinery, the nonhomogeneous Cauchy-Riemann equation on convex domain D for (0, q) form f with partial derivativef = 0, partial derivativeu = f, has a solution which is a linear combination of integrals on bD of the following differential forms[GRAPHICS]j = 1, . . ., n-q-3, where A = [partial derivative (zeta)r(zeta), zeta - z], beta = \z -zeta\(2) and r is the defining function of D. In the case of finite strict type, Bruna et al. estimated [partial derivativer(zeta), zeta - z], by the pseudometric constructed by McNeal. We can e stimate the above differential forms and their derivatives. Then, by using a method of estimating integrals essentially due to McNeal and Stein, we prove the following almost sharp Holder estimate[GRAPHICS]for arbitary kappa > 0. The constant only depends on kappa, D and q.

Abstract:Let $\Gamma\subsetneq \mathrm{Sp}_n(\mathbb{R})$ be an arithmetic subgroup of the symplectic group $\mathrm{Sp}_n(\mathbb{R})$ acting on the Siegel upper half-space $\mathbb{H}_n$ of degree $n$. Consider the $d$-dimensional space of Siegel cusp forms $\mathcal{S}_{\kappa}^n(\Gamma)$ of weight $\kappa$ for $\Gamma$ and let $\{f_j\}_{1\leq j\leq d}$ be a basis of $\mathcal{S}_{\kappa}^n(\Gamma)$ orthonormal with respect to the Petersson inner product. In this paper we show using the heat kernel method that the sup-norm of the quantity $S_{\kappa}^{\Gamma}(Z):=\sum_{j=1}^{d}\det (Y)^{\kappa}\vert{f_j(Z)}\vert^2\,(Z\in\mathbb{H}_n)$ is bounded above by $c_{n,\Gamma} {\kappa}^{n(n+1)/2}$ when $M:=\Gamma\backslash\mathbb{H}_n$ is compact and by $c_{n,\Gamma} {\kappa}^{3n(n+1)/4}$ when $M$ is non-compact of finite volume, where $c_{n,\Gamma}$ denotes a positive real constant depending only on the degree $n$ and the group $\Gamma$. Furthermore, we show that this bound is uniform in the sense that if we fix a group $\Gamma_0$ and take $\Gamma$ to be a subgroup of $\Gamma_0$ of finite index, then the constant $c_{n,\Gamma}$ in these bounds depends only on the degree $n$ and the fixed group $\Gamma_0$.

Abstract:We develop a method for proving sup-norm and Hölder estimates for $\overline{\partial}$ on wide class of finite type pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb{C}^n$. A fundamental obstruction to proving sup-norm estimates is the possibility of singular complex curves with exceptionally high order of contact with the boundary. Our method handles this problem, and in $\mathbb{C}^3$, we prove sup-norm and Hölder estimates for all bounded, pseudoconvex domains with real-analytic boundary.

Abstract:Let $\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n$ be a domain, $\Gamma$ be a hyperplane intersecting it. Let $\varepsilon>0$, and $\Omega_\varepsilon=\Omega\setminus\overline{\Sigma_\varepsilon}$, where $\Sigma_\varepsilon$ ("sieve") is an $\varepsilon$-neighbourhood of $\Gamma$ punctured by many narrow passages. When $\varepsilon\to0$, the number of passages tends to infinity, while the diameters of their cross-sections tend to zero. For the case of identical straight periodically distributed and appropriately scaled passages T. Del Vecchio (1987) proved that the Neumann Laplacian on $\Omega_\varepsilon$ converges in a strong resolvent sense to the Laplacian on $\Omega\setminus\Gamma$ subject to the so-called $\delta'$-conditions on $\Gamma$. We will refine this result by deriving estimates on the rate of convergence in terms of various operator norms, and providing the estimate for the distance between the spectra. The assumptions we impose on the passages are rather general. For $n=2$ the results of T. Del Vecchio are not complete, some cases remain as open problems, and in this work we will fill these gaps.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to an open problem: find the maximum of the product ∏k=1nr(Bk,ak) ( r(B,a) is an inner radius of the domain B with respect to a point a ) over all non-overlapping domains Bk⊂C and points ak∈Bk∩[−1;1] , k=1,...,n , where n >4. Also we consider similar problems on extremal decomposition of the complex plane for the case when almost all points are on the real axis and one of the points is infinitely distant, the case when one of the points lies outside the straight line and the case when an inner radius of the domain containing one of the points of a certain segment is taken in some positive real power γ . The purpose of this paper is to obtain sharp estimates for these cases.

Abstract:This paper's main objective is to find new upper bounds for the norm of the sum of two Hilbert space operators and their Kronecker product. The obtained results extend some previously known results from the set of positive operators to arbitrary ones and refine several existing bounds. In particular, applications of the established bounds include refining celebrated numerical radius inequalities and the celebrated operator Cauchy–Schwarz norm inequality.

Abstract:Let $\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ be a bounded chord-arc domain, let $\mathcal L=-{\rm div} A\nabla$ be an elliptic operator in $\Omega$ associated with a matrix $A$ having Dini mean oscillation coefficients, and let $1<p\leq 2$. In this paper we show that if the regularity problem for $\mathcal L$ is solvable in $L^q$ for some $q>p$ in $\Omega$, $\partial \Omega$ supports a weak $p$-Poincaré inequality, and $\Omega$ has very big pieces of superdomains for which the Neumann problem for $\mathcal L$ is solvable uniformly in $L^q$, then the Neumann problem for $\mathcal L$ is solvable in $L^p$ in $\Omega$.

Abstract:On a compact Riemannian manifold $M$ with boundary $Y$, we express the log of the zeta-determinant of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator acting on $q$-forms on $Y$ as the difference of the log of the zeta-determinant of the Laplacian on $q$-forms on $M$ with absolute boundary conditions and that of the Laplacian with Dirichlet boundary conditions with some additional terms which are expressed by curvature tensors. When the dimension of $M$ is $2$ or $3$, we compute these terms explicitly. We also discuss the value of the zeta function at zero associated to the Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator by using a conformal rescaling method. As an application, we recover the result of the conformal invariance obtained in C. Guillarmou and L. Guillopé, The determinant of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map for surfaces with boundary, Int. Math. Res. Not. IMRN 2007, no. 22, Art. ID rnm099, when the dimension of $M$ is $2$.

Abstract:In this article, we consider the following Kirchhoff equation involving fractional Laplacian where are constants, $\frac{3}{4}<s<1,$ is the so-called Gagliardo (semi)norm of u , $4<p<2^*_{s}=\frac{6}{3-2s}$ and is an exterior domain with smooth boundary By establishing a global compactness lemma of the fractional Kirchhoff equation in exterior domains, we verify the compactness of Palais–Smale sequences corresponding to above problem at higher energy level interval. Then combining some crucial estimates and barycentric function, we determine the existence of positive bound state solutions provided that is contained in a small ball.
