Abstract:We outline a proof of a remarkable conjecture of Labastida-Mari{\~n}o-Ooguri-Vafa about certain new algebraic structures of quantum link invariants and the integrality of infinite family of new topological invariants. Our method is based on the cut-and-join analysis and a special rational ring characterizing the structure of the Chern-Simons partition function.

Abstract:In this article, we study the notions of $n$-isometries in non-Archimedean $n$-normed spaces over linear ordered non-Archimedean fields, and prove the Mazur-Ulam theorem in the spaces. Furthermore, we obtain some properties for $n$-isometries in non-Archimedean $n$-normed spaces.

Abstract:We consider some conjectures of D. Hershkowitz and A. Berman in concerning the localization of eigenvalues of P- and P0-matrices. We show that two of these conjectures are false. We improve a classical formula of Routh's to prove our results. Also we reconsider a theorem of Kellogg's with the generalized result.

Abstract:The Multivariate Hensel Lemma for local rings is usually proved as a consequence of the Grothendieck version of Zariski's Main Theorem. This version deals with a more general situation that is a priori much more difficult. In this paper, we give a direct proof of the Multivariate Hensel Lemma for ultrametric fields, in the framework of constructive mathematics and without using~ZMT. In the framework of classical mathematics, our result entails the Lemma for rank-one valued fields.

Abstract:We give an alternate proof of the main theorem of Kawamata's paper: Pluricanonical systems on minimal algebraic varieties. Our proof also works for varieties in class $\mathcal C$. We note that our proof is completely different from Kawamata's.

Abstract:This paper contains a complete proof of Fukaya's and Kato's epsilon$-isomorphism conjecture in [23] for invertible \Lambda-modules (the case of V = V_0(r) where V_0 is unramified of dimension 1). Our results rely heavily on Kato's unpublished proof of (commutative) epsilon-isomorphisms for one dimensional representations of G_{Q_p} in [27], but apart from fixing some sign-ambiguities in (loc.\ cit.) we use the theory of (\phi,\Gamma)-modules instead of syntomic cohomology. Also, for the convenience of the reader we give a slight modification or rather reformulation of it in the language of [23] and extend it to the (slightly non-commutative) semi-global setting. Finally we discuss some direct applications concerning the Iwasawa theory of CM elliptic curves, in particular the local Iwasawa Main Conjecture for CM elliptic curves E over the extension of Q_p which trivialises the p-power division points E(p) of E. In this sense the paper is complimentary to the joint work [7] on noncommutative Main Conjectures for CM elliptic curves.

Abstract:Gouvêa and Mazur (Math Comp 58:793-805, 1992) made a conjecture on the local constancy of slopes of modular forms when the weight varies p -adically. Since one may decompose the space of modular forms according to associated residual Galois representations, the Gouvêa–Mazur conjecture makes sense for each such component. We prove the localized Gouvêa–Mazur conjecture when the residual Galois representation is irreducible and its restriction to is reducible and generic.

Abstract:We prove the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture for the symplectic-metaplectic case under some assumptions. This is the last case of the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjectures. We also prove two of Prasad's conjectures on the local theta correspondence in the almost equal rank case.

Abstract:We investigate Problem 155 form the "Scottish Book" due to S. Mazur and L. Sternbach. In modern terminology they asked if every bijective, locally isometric map between two real Banach spaces is always a global isometry. Recently, an affirmative answer when the source space is separable was obtained by M. Mori, using techniques related to the Mazur-Ulam theorem and its generalizations. The main purpose of this short note is to offer a different approach to Problem 155 motivated by recent advances in metric geometry. We show that it has an affirmative answer under the additional assumption that the map considered is a local isometry.

Abstract:Let $F$ be a non Archimedean local field, and $G$ be the $F$-points of a connected quasi-split reductive group defined over $F$. In this note we propose a converse theorem statement for generic Langlands parameters of $G$ when the Langlands dual group of $G$ is acceptable. We then prove it when $G$ is $F$-split. Then we consider a variant which we prove for $G=\mathrm{G}_2(F)$ and all quasi-split classical groups. When $F$ has characteristic zero and assuming the validity of the Gross-Prasad and Rallis conjecture, this latter variant translates via the generic local Langlands correspondence of Jantzen and Liu, into the usual local converse theorems for classical groups expressed in terms of Shahidi's gamma factors.

Abstract:Tempered ultra-hyperfunctions do not have the same type of localization properties as Schwartz distributions or Sato hyperfunctions; but the localization properties seem to play an important role in the proofs of the various versions of the edge of the wedge theorem. Thus, for tempered ultra hyper-functions, one finds a global form of this result in the literature, but no local version. In this paper we propose and prove a formulation of the edge of the wedge theorem for tempered ultra-hyperfunctions, both in global and local form. We explain our strategy first for the one variable case. We argue that in view of the cohomological definition of hyperfunctions and ultra-hyperfunctions, the global form of the edge of the wedge theorem is not surprising at all.

Abstract:We prove that Kaletha's local Langlands correspondence for regular supercuspidal representations gives the classical local Jacquet--Langlands correspondence due to Deligne--Kazhdan--Vigneras and Badulescu. As in a former joint paper with Oi, where a similar result is proved for the local Langlands correspondence for the general linear group, the key ingredients in our proof are the work of Bushnell--Henniart explicitly describing the local Jacquet--Langlands correspondence for essentially tame supercuspidal representations and its reinterpretation due to Tam in terms of Langlands--Shelstad's $\zeta$-data. While, under suitable assumptions, this result follows from more general theorems either in the recent work of Fintzen--Kaletha--Spice or that of Chan--Oi, our proof does not require any assumptions. We also complement a few points on the proof in the former paper with Oi.

Abstract:We give a simple proof of a general result describing the action of the Zelevinsky involution on the cohomology of certain basic local Shimura varieties, using the machinery of Fargues-Scholze. As an application, we generalize earlier results of Fargues and Mieda on the action of the Zelevinsky involution on the cohomology of $GL_{n}$ and $GSp_{4}$ type basic local Shimura varieties, respectively.

Abstract:We modify the standard proof of Paley's theorem about lacunary coefficients of functions in $H^1$ to work without analytic factorization. This leads to the first direct proof of the extension of Paley's theorem that we applied to the former Littlewood conjecture about $L^1$ norms of exponential sums.

Abstract:We extend a comparison theorem of Anandavardhanan-Borisagar between the quotient of the induction of a mod $p$ character by the image of an Iwahori-Hecke operator and compact induction of a weight to the case of the trivial character. This involves studying the corresponding non-commutative Iwahori-Hecke algebra. We use this to give an Iwahori theoretic reformulation of the (semi-simple) mod $p$ Local Langlands Correspondence discovered by Breuil and reformulated functorially by Colmez. This version of the correspondence is expected to have applications to computing the mod $p$ reductions of semi-stable Galois representations.
