Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity of convex solutions to the Dirichlet problem of the homogeneous Monge-Ampere equation det D(2)u = 0. We prove that if the domain is a strip region and the boundary functions are locally uniformly convex and C-k+2,C-alpha smooth, then the solution is C-k+2,C-alpha smooth up to boundary. By an example, we show the solution may fail to be C-2 smooth if boundary functions are not locally uniformly convex. Similar results have also been obtained for the Dirichlet problem on bounded convex domains.

Abstract:We classify regularity for Lagrangian mean curvature type equations, which include the potential equation for prescribed Lagrangian mean curvature and those for Lagrangian mean curvature flow self-shrinkers and expanders, translating solitons, and rotating solitons. Convex solutions of the second boundary value problem for certain such equations were constructed by Brendle-Warren (J Differ Geom 84(2):267-287, 2010), Huang (J Funct Anal 269(4):1095-1114, 2015), and Wang-Huang-Bao (Calc Var Partial Differ Equ 62(3):74 2023). We first show that convex viscosity solutions are regular provided the Lagrangian angle or phase is and convex in the gradient variable. We next show that for merely Hölder continuous phases, convex solutions are regular if they are for sufficiently large . Singular solutions are given to show that each condition is optimal and that the Hölder exponent is sharp. Along the way, we generalize the constant rank theorem of Bian and Guan to include arbitrary dependence on the Legendre transform.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity for viscosity solutions of locally uniformly elliptic equations and obtain a series of interior pointwise $C^{k,\alpha}$ ($k\geq 1$, $0<\alpha<1$) regularity with smallness assumptions on the solution and the right-hand term. As applications, we obtain various interior pointwise regularity for several classical elliptic equations, i.e., the prescribed mean curvature equation, the Monge-Ampère equation, the $k$-Hessian equations, the $k$-Hessian quotient equations and the Lagrangian mean curvature equation. Moreover, the smallness assumptions are necessary in most cases (Remark 2.6, Remark 3.5, Remark 4.7, Remark 5.4 and Remark 6.5).

Abstract:Consider an axis-symmetric suitable weak solution of 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes equation with nontrivial swirl. If the solution satisfies a slightly supercritical assumption, we will prove that v is regular. This extends the results of Chen-Strain-Tsai-Yau, Koch-Nadirashvili-Seregin-Sverak and Lei-Zhang where regularities under critical assumptions were proven.

We obtain $C^{\sigma}$ regularity estimates for the nonlocal equations by perturbative methods and a version of a recursive Evans-Krylov theorem.

Abstract:In this paper, we obtain a series of regularity results for viscosity solutions of fully nonlinear elliptic equations with oblique derivative boundary conditions. In particular, we derive the pointwise C α, C 1,α and C 2,α regularity. As byproducts, we also prove the A–B–P maximum principle, Harnack inequality, uniqueness and solvability of the equations.

We first prove the global regularity of solutions if parallel to ru(theta) (r, z, 0)parallel to(L infinity) or parallel to ru(theta) (r, z, t)parallel to(L infinity(r <= r0)) is small compared with certain dimensionless quantity of the initial data. This result improves the one in Zhen Lei and Qi S. Zhang [10]. As a corollary, we also prove the global regularity under the assumption that} vertical bar ru(theta)(r,z,t)vertical bar <= vertical bar ln r vertical bar(-3/2), for all 0 < r <= delta(0) is an element of (0,1/2). Abstract:We establish some interior regularity criteria for suitable weak solutions of the 3-D Navier-Stokes equations which allow the vertical part of the velocity to be large under the local scaling invariant norm. As an application, we improve Ladyzhenskaya-Prodi-Serrin’s criterion and Escauriza-Seregin-Šverák’s criterion. We also show that if a weak solution u satisfies u( · ,t)_L^p ⩽ C( - t)^(3 - p)/2p for some 3 < p < ∞, then the number of singular points is finite.

Additionally, an alternative regularity condition is expressed as ( ), contingent upon a smallness assumption on the norm . For the surface quasi-geostrophic equations, we derive that a Leray-Hopf weak solution is smooth for any small enough. Similar to the case of Navier-Stokes equations, we derive regularity criteria in more refined spaces, i.e. Lorentz spaces and addition of two critical spaces , with smallness assumption on .

Abstract:In this paper, we obtain $C^{1}$ and $C^{1,1}$ regularity of $L^{n}$-viscosity solutions for general semilinear elliptic equation in nondivergence form under some more weaker assumptions, which generalize the result for equations with nonhomogeneous term $f(x)$ to $f(x,u)$. In particular, the nonhomogeneous term $f(x,u)$ is assumed optimally to satisfy unform Dini continuity condition in $u$ and modified $C^{1,1}$ Newtonian potential condition in $x$. For unbounded coefficients, if $a_{ij}$ is $C_{n}^{-1,1}$ at $x_{0}\in\Omega$ with small modulus, $b_{i}\in L^{q}(\Omega)$ for some $q>n$, the solution is $C^{1}$ at $x_{0}$. Furthermore, if $a_{ij},~b_{i}$ are Dini continuous at $x_{0}$, the solution is $C^{1,1}$ at $x_{0}$.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity of several notions of Lipschitz solutions to the minimal surface system with an emphasis on partial regularity results. These include stationary solutions, integral weak solutions, and viscosity solutions. We also prove an interior gradient estimate for classical solutions to the system using the maximum principle, assuming the area-decreasing condition and that all but one component have small norm.
