Abstract:Construction cost control is a complex system engineering. The traditional controlling method cannot dynamically control in advance the construction cost because of its hysteresis. This paper proposes a computer simulation based construction cost integrated control method, which combines the cost with PERT systematically, so that the construction cost can be predicted and optimized systematically and effectively. The new method overcomes the hysteresis of the traditional systems, and is a distinct improvement over them in effect and practicality.

Abstract:Based on the study of state-of-art and detailed analysis ofcomplex technical product, a life-cycle cost information model is established and a Computer Aided Cost Engineering System(CACES) for evaluating the cost elements of a product during its design phase is under development. The relations among its subsystems, namely the cost modeling, cost optimization and cost analyzing are explored and the key techniques of CACES, such as expert system and knowledge engineering are discussed. Case study of hydraulic excavator shows that the CACES approach is feasible and effective.

Abstract:The rapid development of the construction industry has driven the construction of engineering projects in China. However, there are currently many construction projects with budget overruns, resulting in reduced economic benefits of the project. Therefore, this paper elaborates the importance of construction budget of engineering projects, and then proposes the reasons for construction budget overrun of engineering projects: imperfect construction budget plan, lack of supervision in the implementation of construction budget plan, insufficient level of cost management personnel, and construction materials affected by the supply market. Finally, we propose measures to solve the budget overrun of engineering project construction: improve the project construction budget plan, strengthen the supervision of the implementation of the project budget plan, improve the professional skills of budget staff, and stabilize the supply price of construction materials.

Abstract:The cost control of engineering project can directly impact the economic interests of relevant firms and its effect will demonstrate clearly in bidding price. So the rational scientific offer has direct bearing on the enterprise competitiveness. This paper decomposes the bidding price and analyzes the components of it scientifically by means of decomposing engineering project. It makes the managers master the cost components in every period of the project. Basing on it, the manager can modify the price through adjusting the cost and profit of the decomposed section in the project and improve the enterprise competitiveness. And the anticipative economic and social benefit are achieved by managing and controlling the cost during constructing period. The relationship between the cost decomposition analysis and the cost control during constructing period, and the necessity of the cost decomposition analysis to the cost management and control were also expounded.

Abstract:Engineering Cost Management is a dynamic, complex, comprehensive and systematic management activity that runs through the entire implementation process of the construction project. At present, China's engineering cost management system is not standardized and perfect, which makes it difficult to guarantee economic and social benefits in the market economy system and construction projects. This has become an urgent problem to be solved in the construction project management. Therefore, research on the control and management of construction project cost control is carried out, and it is of great significance to give greater play to economic and social benefits in China's engineering construction. This paper first analyzes the development of Wang Cheng's cost control process management and some management methods: Secondly, it combines the actual case to introduce the process control of China's engineering cost from five stages: investment decision stage, design stage, bidding stage, construction stage and completion stage. Some problems existed in the management; finally, the solutions and measures for the project cost management control were put forward for the existing problems. I hope that I can provide a basis for future theoretical research on Wang Cheng's cost control management, and use these theories to better guide practice.

Strengthening cost control and establishing a scientific financial evaluation system can enhance the project’s economic benefits, minimize unnecessary costs, and provide decision-makers with a robust financial foundation. Additionally, implementing an effective cash flow control mechanism and conducting a comprehensive assessment of potential project risks can ensure financial stability and mitigate the risk of fund shortages. Developing a practical and feasible fundraising plan, along with stringent fund management practices, can prevent fund wastage and optimize fund utilization efficiency. These measures not only facilitate smooth project progression and improve project management efficiency but also enhance the project’s economic and social outcomes.

Abstract:Abstract In the daily process of construction projects, project cost is a very critical part of the work. In order to effectively save costs and control the quality, it is necessary to conduct dynamic cost management according to the various construction links, and then formulate corresponding dynamic control measures for the project cost according to the actual situation. This article first analyzes the concept of dynamic management of project cost and control, and then briefly describes the dynamic control process and measures. Finally, according to the current status of the engineering industry, some pertinent suggestions are put forward, and it is expected to be helpful to the dynamic control and management of construction engineering costs in China.

In the current construction process, in order to make the construction more smoothly, it is quite necessary to ensure high-quality project budget preparation. Construction project budget is an indispensable part of the construction enterprise in the process of project cost control, and plays a very important role in further strengthening the control of project cost for the construction enterprise. Using modern information technology to calculate and manage engineering cost scientifically is a direction of current effective management of Engineering cost. Cost management organizations at all levels should attach great importance to engineering cost informatization. Reasonable control of construction costs is not to blindly reduce construction costs, but to reduce expenditures that do not need to be spent. We should make full use of informationization means and speed up the construction of informationization platform for standard and project cost management.

The purpose of this article is to study the problem of information management of engineering cost in the era of big data. By establishing a unified cost data collection standard on the basis of big data, the quality of data collection is improved, which facilitates the classification and processing of subsequent data, increases the source of data collection, and improves the quality of data.
